    A1 Everlast Inc
A1 Everlast, Inc. was hired by me on June 29, 2017 to perform stucco repairs to one side of my home along with installing a new roof on the same side over the bay window. The repairs were needed due to leakage coming in through the damaged stucco. Although I didn't believe that the water coming in was leaking through the bay window roof, I agreed to have it replaced at the instance of their estimator, Dan. The total billed for this work was $4,280 and a 1/3 deposit was due at signing. 1/3 due when the work commenced and the remaining 1/3 due upon completion. All payments were made when due. I called A1 Everlast, Inc., on March 12, 2018 and spoke with Pasquale "Pat" Casalaspro (the owner on record) regarding visible cracks in the stucco work that his company performed. I was instructed to call back in May when the weather was warmer - I had no problem with that. Unfortunately, on April 16, 2018 we had heavy rain which ultimately resulted in water leaking in and damaging the interior wall and ceiling that had been repaired from the original damage. The interior was repaired after A1 Everlast completed the repairs on the exterior of the house. I called again on Monday, April 16 (the day of the heavy rainfall) and spoke with Pasquale "Pat" Casalaspro to advise of the leakage and he conveyed that they were busy so someone would call me on Wednesday. Once again I had no problem waiting a couple of days for a call back. Since no one called me on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 I called yet again. Pasquale "Pat" Casalaspro took down my address and phone number and indicated that someone would be coming out on Friday 4/20/2018. I sat home waiting all day and finally called A1 Everlast, Inc., at 4:44 pm letting Pasquale "Pat" Casalaspro know that no one ever showed up. During that conversation he stated that someone would be at my home the following morning (4/21/2018) at 9:00 am, needless to say that time came and went.

Jersey Heating & Air Conditioning General Const.
The contractor was very unprofessional and very rude. On the first day of arriving to the property, I was going through the work description which I already him over the phone couple of days before he arrived, he was interrupting me as I was showing him the job, telling me that he will write me an estimate invoice for labour, I was surprised and asked him about the 8hrs I paid for, he replied me that he can only install the 1 window and that's it, and for the 2-Sliding door I have to pay him for that, I asked him how can he spend 8hrs on installing a window? he answered that if I wanted him to start he will have to write me an estimate invoice for the 2-sliding doors, I told him to do the 8hrs I paid for and if he go beyond the 8hrs and i'll pay the difference, which I really doubt he will go beyond 3hrs with the whole job, instead he was bitterly arguing that he can't start until he told me how much it'll cost. I was so disappointed with the company.

    Universal Renovation Consultants
The issue was that it was a little cold that day and the guy was sent by himself and not able to do as good of a job as he would liked too because of the weather. Mainly because it was a little cold, those were his words.  The conditions were not ideal. It did not seem to be that long until they came out. Given the conditions he did pretty well, but since he could not have done better it would be hard to know what he could have done if the weather was better but what he did was ok. For what he did for the conditions I am satisfied.

If you are looking for a mason, look no further than P.A. Carsillo and Sons. Paulie and his crew did a beautiful job completely rebuilding my back steps.
A meticulous craftsman with years of experience, Paulie was on site and hands on for the entire job. They arrived on time, did the job efficiently, and left the site cleaner than they found it! And also, the price was fair and square. I was definitely in good hands with P.A. Carsillo & Sons.
I could not have been more pleased with the results!!!

Mr. Handyman of S. Orange/Westfield/Scotch Plains & Metuchen

I am very pleased with the quality of the work, the ease of scheduling, and the wide variety of work completed.  Understand that Mr. Handyman provides a premium service that is worth the price.  No drama, no surprises, no excuses.  The experienced, skilled carpenter, Dean, understood exactly what I needed done, and how to do the work.  Little things matter a lot.  He re-installed a previous, faulty installation of my bathroom shower doors.  Now the frame is securely attached to the tub, sealed perfectly, and the work was done without so much as a single scratch on the tile walls (which is tricky, given that the aluminum frame has sharp edges when removed).  I didn't have to ask for invisible clear calking along the tile walls and white calking along the seam with the white tub, or replacement of a little broken guide wheel at the bottom of the door assembly - these were just done, and done just right.  Consider also the task of replacing a cracked limestone step at the front of my house.  This job was finished perfectly.  The pitch of the new piece is perfect for the spot it is in, the brick underneath was replaced and pointed exactly right, and the seams were sealed.  This is the second time I have hired Mr. Handyman (Dean was the carpenter sent both times) and I'll hire this company again.

    Carmine's Landscaping & Construction Inc
A great group of hardworking yet conciencious guys. The team was a well oiled machine. Everyone had their specialty; knowing exactly what to do and when. They were also cheerful. The low brick planter wall was done perfectly -  the digging, the gravel bed, the cinderblock base and the bricks laid in front of the cinderblock - all came out beautifully. At one point they pointed out to me that my back property line wasn't parallel to my house - and asked me what line I wanted the wall lined up with. They also pointed out my old chain link fence was not exactly following my side property line. I checked my survey and  had the new one placed in the correct spot.
The concrete step and pad came out perfectly as well. To finish everything off, they added nice topsoil to terrace out my planter. After cleaning up from the three day job, everything was exactly what I wanted!
I don't usually think anyone does such a good job on anything these days. Carmine's changed my point of view. They are the best!

    A Debenedetto Construction LLC
The contractor was very helpful and even called the City's permit department to help facilitate the process.  He explained the work his crew would do and the time it would take and they followed the plan.  They also cleaned up all the debris.  Thanks Angie's List!  I wasn't disappointed.

    Sposato's Masonry & Chimney Contractor
Mike and his crew came in did the job in one day. With this rainy summer we have put the work to the test and we have had no water come into the house during these heavy rains. Mike and his crew are friendly, professional and do great work. I highly recommend them and will use them again for other masonry work when finances permit us.

Mr. Kelly of Creative Construction was one of two contractors who came to look at the job, and the only one to follow-through with a bid.  Through the process, Mr. Kelly and I discussed alternatives and approaches and we finally decided that, since the stoop had probably sunk all that it was going to, we could just clean up the existing stoop and save ourselves the trouble (and me the expense) of pulling the existing concrete out and pouring a replacement.
I did the cleanup with a quick Home Depot rental of a power chisel and Mr. Kelly did everything else.
He also explained to us why the old bluestone had come loose (ice melt and other chemicals) and why we wouldn't be able to use much of the old stone (cracks).  All new stone purchases were cleared with me beforehand; there were no unpleasant surprises in his work or the final bill.
He was patient with us, showed up when he said he would, did the job he said he would, and did it with the quality and results that we had hoped he would.  Since the new stone wasn't in the original estimate he provided receipts to back up the addition in cost, but at that point it only served to bolster the trust that we had already established.
I recommend Mr. Kelly for any work that he says he can handle and would use him again in a heartbeat.

    Joe Percario General Contractors LLC
He dealt with my brother and I and we felt that some times there were communication issues.  He would tell my brother one thing and myself something different.  His work was good quality, but I did feel that he was a little over priced.  I would definitely suggest getting several estimates before hiring this company.
