Waited from 1-5 PM. No technician. Technician called at 4:15. I called 5:30 to get another appt. Had to get to work. This was my 4th call. Technician calls me 6:15. I not home. Called Sears st 7:15 no one told me my service hours were changed to 5:30-7:30. Was told to wait somebody will be right there. Another lie. Customer service was horrible all day. Game me another appt 10 days later. I cancelled my warranty and appt.

I was sensitive to the cost of the repair, since with appliances of this age, sometimes it makes more sense to replace than repair. However I decided to have the diagnostic done. The repair person quickly diagnosed the issue and had already purchased the replacement part prior to his visit. I was definitely impressed with the services provided and I was charged a reasonable total amount for the repairs/parts. I would highly recommend The Appliance Guruto others.

On September 3, 2013 I noticed my freezer was running warm and all of the contents were beginning to defrost.  I immediately
contacted Sears 4 My Home at about 10PM and  they couldn't get a repair person visit  until Friday Sept. 6th.  This was going to be too late and all the contents would have perished by Friday.  I remember I'd not heard the motor running for a while, but I didn't take notice right away. After all the fridge was just 1 year and 43 days old. So I called  Sears to ensure that there was nothing wrong with the unit itself.  Let them who I purchased it from check it out. But I knew I couldn't wait until Friday or all in the fridge would  be lost.
Septemer 4,2013 I looked on Angie's List and 7:00 A.M. and I call Fridge Fix and spoke to  Christine the Customer Service  Rep.and told her  my problem and advised I was an Angie's List customer.  Christine advised she would do her best to assist me and she called me back  immediately and said a technican would be at my home between 3:00 PM and 5:00PM.that day.    Ernesto (the tech)  arrived at 2:58PM and within 3 minutes he had pin pointed the problem and advised me to contact the manufacturer immediately to see if they would honor the warranty because the problems appeared to be related to poor workmanship with  the Whirlpool product.  I contacted Whirlpool who advised they would not honor the warranty because the fridge was purchsed July 21,2012 and I had not purchased the extended warrenty so I would have to pay out of pocket for parts and labor. I told the Whirlpool representative that the techican that was here now said there were several issues with this unit.  The "seal system" had failed and the compressor was running hot and there was no freon in the unit and the evaporator needed to be replaced.  I relayed this informaiton to the Whirlpool representative to no avail.  So I requested to speak to her supervisor or manager. She set up an appointment  for September 7, 2013 with Whirlpool's Service Center because they advised Whirlpool would on a one time basis would offer to be responsible for the parts and labor this ONE ONLY.  I relayed this message to Ernesto and he said this was only the
right thing for Whirpool to do but if I needed anything in the future, Fridge Fix would be available.
I want to compliment Ernesto of Fridge Fix for his patience, expertise an assisting me with the manufacturer as a comsumer. He did not say anything against the manufacturer, but advised I had a right to fight for a warranty that was 43 days outside the box. I cannot tell you how much I appreciated this honest opinion and he was so kind to installed "Freon" in order for my fridge contents to freeze  so not l to loss precious money on my purchases.  Frdge Fix went  above and beyond for service and I will contact them again.
    Kind regards

We were pleased with our salespeople, and there were good sales and rebates on these items. Bought a dual-fuel Kenmore stove (appr $2000) that we're 100% happy with. The first dishwasher we bought from Sears was a Frigidaire, which had some quirks. We were entitled to service, had it serviced (promptly and well) about 4 times within a year or so and then we opted to return it, which we were allowed to do because we documented all and were protected by service agreements. Replaced it with a Kenmore -- and now we're very pleased. Have had no problems. We've shopped in other appliance stores and somehow ended up at Sears -- selection, variety seemed just as good as anybody else, or better, and prices/sales were quite good.
