    Our relationship with JML started great. The workers did good work and the manager Michael DeFillipo was great. He was very responsive and very easy to work with. Then came the "incident." There was some issue and the owner, John Lazorchak came over to resolve it. My was talking to him. He got extremely hostile and vulgar, using the F-word, blaming us for the mix-up. He finally called his office and learned the problem was on their end. Lazorchak gave us a very lame, half-hearted apology. DeFillipo came by the next day after hearing about it and said not to worry, he would be taking care of us. Things went well until the fall. There was no fall cleanup. We called them twice and never heard from them. I figured it would be straightened out on the spring. In the spring we received a form letter saying they were not servicing any residential customers. We called three times for an explanation. Lazorchak was not professional enough to answer us. AND, we saw them servicing a residential customer around the corner from our home. So, even though they did excellent work, and DeFillipo was a very good manager, as long as Lazorchak runs the company I would be very hesitant to use them.

    They came out to quote straight away on the Monday which was great but said they couldn't do it until Saturday as a big job. So we wasted a week but I thought OK, at least its getting done and they have some good reviews. They quoted $450 and I said Ok if we could agree on $400. We agreed but then yesterday I was told that they wouldn't clean the basement unless I paid $450. I said that is not what we agreed but agreed to pay the full price as just needed the darn house clean as have a viewing Saturday for sale. I have a message this morning saying they now can't do it and for me to find someone else. WOW, unprofessional is not the word, I have wasted a week waiting now that I could have gone with someone else and had it done by now (whether cleaning or cleaning/ handyman and yes for a bit cheaper) but now I have to sit and wait for more replies, schedule another appointment which could be another week, and have prospective buyers seeing moving out crap all over the house, Thanks for nothing Lety, do not use this company if you need reliable prompt, important service, you probably won't get it and will be left with a 'find someone else and good luck" message in your inbox too. I will let you know who I do use, if you need move in/out service

    I called Schultz for an estimate to weed the beds in the front and back of my house and around the pool deck.  I did not ask for an Angie?s list coupon deal.   I had landscaping work that needed to be done and asked for a quote.  Mike estimated 3 days and scribbled a ?contract? on a scrap of paper that listed the costs for labor and materials including landscape fabric, mulch, rocks and a few plants.  I decided to go with Mike because of his availability to get the job done.  (sooner than other contractors I had come to give me an estimate).  When he arrived with his crew of teenagers he said he didn?t use ?Mexicans?.  I was immediately offended and told him my family included a Peruvian landscaper so he should stop talking.  Anytime I went outside I was told how much work there was to be done.  I reminded him that he estimated the work the week before and nothing had changed.
     The second day, he brought different teenagers to work.   I had two downed trees from the hurricane that
    I had removed and Mike said he wouldn?t grind the stumps would cut out the exposed roots and trim down the stump so I wouldn?t notice.  That was not done.  He merely dumped rocks around the area and when I asked about it he said he never said he could cut anything back.  (I had other estimates that included removing stumps and I would not have had him do the work if I knew this was his plan).   I also could see from my upstairs window that there were spots were they didn't put down landscape fabric and just dumped the rocks.  When I pointed it out to Mike he said it was a miscommunication between the guy laying the fabric and the one putting in the rocks.  I randomly moved rocks and found many spots where there was no landscape fabric under the rocks or mulch.  That seems to be more than a miscommunication! ? it?s just sloppy work. 
    On the 3rd day while Mike was out to pick up more supplies I watched the guys work.  One was bringing the rocks up to the bed and the other two were supposed to spread them out.  One stood leaning on a rake and the other was sitting on a bench while the guy moving the rocks had to go to the driveway (I mention this because anyone who is paying time and materials and
    not by the job will be getting guys who don?t work very hard).  After three days and an incomplete job Mike said he was coming back to finish on Saturday but wanted to be paid.  I agreed to pay him and hold back 5% in case the job wasn?t finished.  I came home Saturday evening to an incomplete job with tools and coolers left on my property.  I never heard back from him
    and I would highly recommend against using this contractor.  With the new growing season I have weeds coming up everywhere and its very evident where the landscape fabric is missing.  I hired a new landscaper this year that added fabric where it was missed and remulched for a lower price and in much less time.  I should have realized that when there are multiple bad reviews that a contractor has to respond to ? there is a bigger issue there and it isn?t the customers fault.

    The cost is per week. I think it's a good price. He's got 3-4 people working at the same time.
