Basement Waterproofing reviews in Morristown

    Quality 1st Basements
The work went quite well. the concrete in my basement was very strong and hard to break. It created a lot of dust which was expected and dust managed to make its way into the home. but the work was very professional. I tend to like things perfect so thats why I gave them B on quality but the important things were done well. In the end there was a lot of dust that eventually fell to the floor after completion but as I was having more work done it was not an issue.

    United Waterproofing Corp
A week after I signed the contract, the United Waterproofing crew came and removed the old pump, dug up and enlarged the pit, installed a new pump and a battery back-up pump, and redirected the discharge line. The crew was professional, courteous, and completed the job in a timely manner and cleaned up the crawl space after. The pumps have been working flawlessly ever since -- a big relief given that weather has been fairly on the wet side. United Waterproofing did an outstanding job and the price was reasonable (actually a few hundred dollars cheaper than another quote from a much larger, well-known company). I would definitely hire UW again.

They came out and prices the job, the. Scheduled it and got it done start to finish in two days. They pulled the necessary permits for us. Their electrician was great also. The job was inspected and perfect. I would highly recommend to anyone.

Rob responded promptly to Angies list inspection purchase. Appointment was made timely and upon inspection he explained the problem, root cause, and what would be best cost effective solution. I was impressed with his knowledge, experience and approach to remediating the problem. I hired him during the inspection and he was able to start in a short timeframe. Rob and his crew arrived as committed and worked tirelessly to remove walls concrete and other items as part of the area prep. He drop clothed everything that may get dust or damaged, drop clothed all floors from entrance through basement and carted all debris away with care. They installed new drainage system and repaired existing sump pump well which was beginning to fail. He finished as estimated and most importantly He kept to the agreed upon price without the normal up sell most contractors gouge you with. He was a pleasure to work with and is on my goto list for any future needs basement or other as he has a broad base of skills.

    WEATHER-TITE WATERPROOFING INC.
I've used this company twice now. In the first instance (2014), we had a leaky basement and interviewed at least three different french drain companies. Bob Lindsay, from Weather-tite, immediately stood out as one of the most experienced and knowledgeable. A bit gruff, but the man knows what he's doing. Importantly, his team is top notch. Many times I've been in situations where the owner sells you on his services but the team doing the work is terrible. Not so with Weather-tite. His lead guys were amazing (a couple of the newer guys were not quite as ambitious, but the foremen and most of the team - -A-MAZING). They were there on time, worked quickly and efficiently, cleaned up like a dream. I couldn't believe how fast they dug up my entire basement, laid the pipe and put it back together again. Excellent all around. About a year later, we started getting little flies in the basement. Drain flies, sometimes called sewer flies. They seemed to be in the french drain and were coming up from behind the walls. It took close to a YEAR to find the source of these flies. I was killing more than 100 per day - they drove me crazy. I brought in a pesticide company, a contractor and three different plumbers to try to find the broken pipe. (I had an ongoing 7-10 page status report of every possible thing that could be causing these flies and what had been done - like I said, crazy!) Every single person who came to the house wanted to blame the french drain company. "They must have put a hole in the sewer line when they dug up the floor" they all said. I called Bob. I knew from working with Bob that he was a stand up guy. He stood behind his work and assured me that there was no way that happened. After numerous tests, the plumbers finally found the broken kitchen pipe that was the culprit and confirmed that it was NOT caused by the french drain installation. It was broken on the underside and had just rotted through. Unfortunately, the french drain system became contaminated with organic material from the broken pipe and became a ground zero for the flies. After the floor was dug up and the plumbers fixed the pipe, I literally had thousands of flies in my basement. The horror. I was regularly in tears. The practically brand new french drain system was totally contaminated. Bob's team came back with a different foreman, who was also excellent. This was a very unusual situation for a french drain company, but they took care of it like champs. They came in and suffered the storm of flies and dug out and removed the contaminated french drain pipes and the dirt underneath and reinstalled whole sections of the french drain with new pipes. Once again, they were on time, efficient and fixed the problem beautifully. One of the guys even patched up some of my outside stairs just because he had the concrete out and saw it needed fixing. It's now months later, I'm happily living with a dry, fly-free basement and my sanity has been stored. Was Weather-tite the cheapest estimate I got back in 2014? I don't think so (though they were comparable). But not everyone stands behind what they do like Bob does. The team, the workmanship and the follow through were top-notch. I highly recommend them.

JACK WILLIAMS & SON CHIMNEY CONTRACTORS
Liar and cheater. Lied about the work performed. Cheated me out of $2300 with bogus products. Promised remediation; never followed through. Work let stains all over my chimney which can't be removed. BEWARE-BEWARE-BEWARE.

To start with the scheduling, it was very easy and they quickly found a time that was convenient for me.
They sent out an information packet in advance and the rep (Collin) called and confirmed the day prior and also when he was on his way.
We had a few issues we wanted looked out, cracks at the windows and also so peeling of previously applied drylock. the good news was that there were no major issues that need to be addressed. I was pleased that they didnt try to sell me anything we didn't need. I feel this is an ethical company and if I have problems in the future they will be who I will call.

The company installed the water heater and charged me $1059, within a few weeks I received a $600 electric bill. Upon contacting the owner, Scott gave me the option of getting a full refund upon picking up the heater. The company pick up the water heater and the owner only gave me a partial refund of $600, which speaking with the owner, he said "I know what I said but if you keep calling and asking for a full refund, I won't give you a dime" In result, I lost $459 plus $600 electric bill due to their service. Stay away from this company at all cost.

    United Waterproofing Corp
After Irene hit last year we knew we had to get this done by a company who specializes in this field only.  United came over to give a free estimate with a detailed description of how they can fix our problem for good.  They provided video of work they have done in the area as well as references for completed jobs.  They were efficient in their work and left no mess behind.
Job took two days in total.  And that's only due to the required plumbing and building inspections being done by the town prior to United finishing the job.  The work was done right before Sandy hit, so the timing was perfect.  The proof is in the pudding, as we for once have no water in our basement.  Couldn't be more pleased.

    Select Basement Waterproofing Inc
The service call was scheduled using a discount coupon available on Angie's List. Dominic arrived on time, had all parts in his truck and replaced the old equipment as needed.  System has been working fine since installation three weeks ago. Time will tell how long it lasts. Select Basement Waterproofing recommended additional products and services, but it was not a "hard sale".
