  • As a new customer, very happy he fit our fix in the same day we called for service.  Was very comfortable to interact with and knew his business.  Fixed our problem, which involved dealing with the power sources in the house, in a timely, economic repair.  Will definitely use him again!!

  • My LG refrigerator stopped working over the weekend and we were desperate to get it running again because we do not have another refrigerator at home.

    I called Affordable and asked if they service LG refrigerators and I told them my refrigerator is not cooling anymore.  We made an appointment for 2pm the next day.

    I was working about an hour away from home, and running a little late, so I asked my son to come to the house by 2pm.  I arrived at 2:15 pm.   At 2:30  I called and asked where they were,  I was told they were "running late" due to a Dr. Appt. and would be there between 3 and 3:30.   I would have expected them to call me and let me know so that I didn't rush home from work, and get my son to rush home from work to meet them at 2.

    When the technician arrived, he told me he was just coming from a dr. apt at 2:30?????  How does that add up with my 2pm apt?  Any way, he was very nice and I was just happy to have some coming to fix my refrigerator.

    After taking the whole refrigerator apart, and talking to LG,  I was informed that they don't do this type of repair.  LG has a "sealed system" that contains the compressor and cooling coils etc.. and this company, along with many others, do not do that kind of work.

    They charged me $100 to basically do nothing.    If they didn't do compressor work, they should have told me that BEFORE coming to my house.  There are a lot of appliance repair companies that I researched online and a lot of them do indicate that they don't do that work.   I am no repair genius, but even I can tell that the most likely problem with my fridge is the compressor.

    So to sum up:  They were very nice, but charged me $100 for practically nothing and were over an hour and a half late to my appointment.

  • It went great.  I left a voicemail on Monday, which was answered in about 15 minutes.  I gave a detailed description of the dishwasher issue (most urgent), including the model number, and was told that it could be repaired the next day.  He called me 1/2 hour before he was on his way (as I requested), and was there right on time.
    In the the same visit, Daniel diagnosed an issue with our washing machine, and was able to repair a bent freezer shelf.  As for the washing machine, he told me he could fix it, but given the age of the machine, he suggested a new one would be a better idea.  All this for a very modest cost.

  • He responded promptly to my call. He was very pleasant, polite and honest. One stove he was able to fix, the other stove he gave me a price to fix, but advised that it may be more prudent to replace the stove. Went as far to provide me info on where I could get the other stove replaced and how much it might cost.

  • I called Rich and he was able to come the same day. He first replaced the motor which was broken and he showed me where it was broken. He said that this should fix the issue but if it doesn't to call and he will be back and look at the water valve.
    Unfortunatly that did not fix the problem. I called him again to let him know of the issue. He asked me to send him the model number  which was on sunday. Monday morning he had the part and scheduled with me to come in the same day and change the water valve. 
    As soon as he replaced the valve the ice maker filled the try with water and approx 30-45 mins later i had the first batch of ice. The ice maker is working fine.
    Rich was very professional and punctual. He didn't charge any service fee to come out again just charged for the part which was replaced, even showed me the invoice and charged exactly what the part cost.
    I would recommend Rich to friends and family!!!

  • Unlike our appalling experience with Sears with whom we have had a service contract  - now cancelled, the phone at Western Appliance was answered promply by a pleasant and knowledgeable lady who set up the appointment. Bob called several days before to review the problem to ensure he had the likely replacement parts on hand during the call and also warned that depending on his findings on inspecting the appliance the repair might not be worth it. He arrived promptly within the arranged window. Did a thorough job and recommended replacement. More than that he helped by recommending and calling an appliance store (another small customer-friendly business) with the desired replacement in stock at a competitive price - installed 3 days later. It is refreshing to deal with a real professional, thoroughly knowledgeable on the equipment, honest and customer oriented. I will absolutely use Western Appliance for future appliance service.

  • Everything went as planned.  They showed up, as expected - no surprises, and fixed the refrigerator.  Very friendly, trustworthy, reliable and responsive.  Would definitely use them again!

  • I have used these guys twice now. Once they came for a refrigerator noise. The guy replaced the fan with a new GE one. Since the noise was still there he recommended I call GE and did not charge me anything at all. I have never seen anyone spend an hour diagnosing the issue and then return without charge. The same person returned for looking at my Whirlpool dryer and did a great job cleaning it all up.

  • Dan came in and checked out the washing machine. Very professional,
    pleasant. Right away diagnosed the problem and gave us the cost. Our
    machine was 15 years old but he said it would be up to us. The cost would have been
    $250.00. We felt we would forget it and purchase a new machine. He did
    not charge the full service charge as he didn't perform any repairs.
    He works afternoon and nights for people working. We recommend him
    highly and would definitely use him again.

  • Overall fantastic experience....The service call was returned on the same day and Dan came out to diagnosis the problem within a few hours. The part needed to be ordered however, the repair was completed within 48 hours. It doesn't get much better then that.
    Prior to using Jason Applicance, we were loyal customers (30+ years) to our local refridgerator repairman. When I called for service, it took a few days to get the appointment and the rep never showed up on the day of appointment nor did he call to cancel or reschedule. I was so angry as I took the afternoon off from work. This is the way the company treats you after 30 years of service? This is what lead me to joining Angie's List and finding our new appliance repair person. I highly recommend Jason Appliance for all the reasons I have listed above.
