AModern FenceMike from Modern fence was phenomenal. We had 3 total estimates before we installed our fence. The estimate from Modern fence was by far the best estimate. We needed about 300' of fencing for our backyard. Mike came out and promptly gave and estimate and detailed exactly what work would need to be done to prepare the backyard for the fence installation. After we had the landscapers come and clear the brush in our backyard, I asked Mike to come back again to check and make sure it was up to par and he had no problem stopping by....he is a really great guy and super helpful. We also had LED lights installed in our fence caps that we are really pleased with.....our total cost for everything including the lights was just under $14,000. FQuoting went great, price was good, agreed on terms, they handled the permits, so from several other companies that quoted around the same price selected them because of handling the permits. Communicated and expected the job to be done in the timeframe promised which is 6 weeks from the down-payment, and highlighted this as the completion time was important because of personal reasons. Big surprise when instead of the promised timeframe, it just doubled, reasons, various. Called to get explanations and discuss the timeframe, we did not get far in the discussion when the lady on the phone became extremely unprofessional, rude, impolite. Her temper was short to begin with ... Their customer service professionalism is way under the one star that I have to give as cannot go negative, they do not care about customers, they have plenty of business so they can afford mistreating people. Called back and talked to the owner for a refund, in spite of not having any options I asked for a refund, I can live without redoing my fence, but companies like this don't get my business. If I would have talked to a friendly person on the phone I would have left it as is, customers beware ...

AAQF was an excellent choice. We worked with Tom who made sure we had a fence that met the code requirements for a yard with a pool. The fence was installed well and quickly even with some odd bump out requests we made to accommodate our swing set. Years after the original installation we had a little incident with a teenage driver who managed to damage a section of the fence. I was capable of making repairs but needed some replacement parts. The lead time from the manufacturer was 10 to 12 weeks due to COVID-19 delays. Chris took the time and worked with me to find parts in their yard looking through their surplus stock and finally found the parts I needed to make the repairs.

AI had a rather complicated project that involved the removal of an old prefab sunroom sitting on top of a large 13x11' wrought iron elevated deck. The work involved demolition of part of the old deck with re-design of the remaining (deck) into a smaller one + installation of a new 2nd-floor fire escape. These guys made it look easy and completed the project ON TIME & AS PROMISED. During and after the project I quickly learned that I had hired the right team. I called numerous ironworkers and a few showed up (others went running). Boris arrived to carefully size up the work. He took measurements, photos and assessed the tasks involved and then forwarded a detailed quote. - That alone meant a lot because all others just scribbled an email with number$ while still others mouthed off a dollar amount with few details and without ever taking measurements (weird). So I hired these guys and just a few days later the team arrived to start the process and the great things I saw immediately and overall were as follows: 1) They work as a team, 2) They had a clear plan of how to break this complex project into a path to completion, 3) They came equipped for surprises - because even the most exact measurements can be off by a half inch - They were ready to fabricate and adjust ON-SITE - and that's what they did - There was no stopping them! When they encountered a problem, they appled creative vision, whipped out the chopper, welder, (whatever) and made it happen - It was really AMAZING! Never once did they need to leave for a tool or extra material. The entire project took just FOUR visits....that alone is incredible for the work involved. In the end, as you can see from the photo, I ended up with exactly what I had asked for... And the material they use is SOLID --- not some hollow crap. That small deck could probably hold up the house! And the fire escape is not going anywhere! To summarize - If you need wrought iron work carefully consider what's involved. In my opinion that is a firm that: 1) actually comes out to see the work beforehand, arrives to take measurements and pictures and gives a detailed proposal at a fair price, 2) CAN FABRICATE ON-SITE -- this is so important, otherwise if something is off or needs to be modified, they'll be gone for weeks! I would highly recommend giving Boris a call for any project, of any size. He and his team will make it happen!
