    ROCON CONTRACTING
I still have issues with a project they did about ten years ago. The masons they hired constructed a wall in the wrong place. Owner Dennis Roberts was extremely rude and told me not to tell him how to do his job. Not surprisingly I still have issues with water coming into the basement that I just fixed. Turned out they didnt seal it properly. Rocon promised oversight of the property but I almost never saw anyone other than a subcontractor. I had to make sure I was home for inspectors to smooth things over that were done wrong and report back to Dennis. I thought that was his job. Guess not. This was honestly the worst experience I ever had with a contractor. The kitchen to sunroom floor was installed on a slope and Dennis refused to fix it until I hired a lawyer. I ended up having to rip up tile and buy it again at my own expense. I still have all the documentation. What a disaster. Look elsewhere.

    The Better Basement Co
They exceeded expiation and I never say that. I run my own business, we are a project based company. When I started my search for a company to complete my basement it was important that I found a company that understood the importance of pre-project planning. While online reviews are helpful, nothing beats a reference call to understand strengths and weakness of a company. I pick the type of references I want to call. Example, give me a reference from someone in my town, someone your working with now, someone you just completed and someone that wasnt happy with your work. It was difficult to get references from other companies. Better Basement had hundreds of reference I could call. People are happy to talk about their experience with them. I feel like I rejected every basement installer in NJ. Better Basement was the only company that could present a plan. Others came in, measured the basement and said you have this much space. You will need X amount of wall and lights. Everything else they were going to wing it. If I did their reference call, the lack of planning became clear. Everyone had cost overruns, everyone had surprise. I had no surprised with Better Basement company. They told me when they would show up and where there, on time, every time. It was a quality job, with everything they touch. I am a PITA, and they exceed expiation, we had an idea and they improved on it. You should never pick a company to do this type of work on price. O-Yeah, they are competitively priced. Highly recommend. Rich/Maria

All-Pro Custom Remodeling & Painting LLC
We were very pleased with the owner, Peter, and would definitely use him again. He and his crew mate, Frank, were reliable, responsible and professional. As the owner of the company, Peter was also hands on with our bathroom remodel which surprised us since we had dealt with contractors in the past who just priced out the job and sent out a crew to perform the work. Any questions we had were answered in a timely manner. They showed up on time and cleaned up after themselves. We were delayed a couple of days from the anticipated start date which Peter had let us know prior to the start date. This also changed the anticipated completion date but in the end we were told it would take approximately two weeks from start to finish and it was. We have told all our friends that if they ever need a contractor, we would recommend Peter. It was a pleasure working with Peter and Frank.

On The Level Handyman & Painting Services LLC
This is the second time working with this provider.  Andrew is always a pleasure from start to finish.  He listened to what my concerns were and showed up with a game plan.  What is great about Andrew is that even when things don't go as smoothly as expected he works on through to find a solution.  Andrew was also kind enough to take a look at some projects I have in mind and give suggestions/recommendations on how best to approach them.  I have no doubt that I will be calling him again in the future.

    Richard K. Moore Professional Painting
I contacted several A-rated Angie's List service providers (10 to be exact) before selecting Richard Moore Painting and my family and I are very happy we did. Richard was very prompt in giving us a quote the same day he came to assess the work. His 30+ years of experience showed from assessment to the next job I asked him to quote us on soon after he finished! I'm usually very reluctant to go with contractors who cannot provide a quote the same day. Richard was in the top 3 in terms of costs so we didn't necessarily go with the cheapest quote we received. We chose Richard because his Angie's List rating was top-notch, he has a lot of experience, and Diane was very prompt in responding/following-up and they were very professional (plus they genuinely sounded like they wanted the work). Diane stated the work will take about 3 days to complete and all I had to do was remove any fixtures off the walls I didn't want painted or painted around. Diane said they would help in moving the furniture. We had to wait over a month to get scheduled for the work to be done, but that wasn't a problem for us since we weren't in any rush. The wait was due to them being so busy which now I know why they're heavily recruited.
On the first day, Richard and his apprentice, Bryan, arrived on time if not earlier. Richard quickly gave Bryan the rundown of the job to be done and they promptly got started by covering the furniture, placing drapes on the floor, prepping the paint, etc. On the first day, Richard and Bryan completed 3 out of the 4 rooms to be painted. We were very impressed with how quickly and easily they made the work seem. They were almost too good I thought they were overcharging us! After careful inspection, the walls and ceilings looked amazing! Richard and Bryan stayed for 8 hours on day 1 and I don't think they took any lunch breaks (come to think of it).
On the second day, Richard and Bryan once again arrived on time and promptly began working. Richard asked me if I had any questions or concerns about what they've done so far and I had nothing for them. Richard and Bryan started painting the last room and were done in a little over 2 hours. The job took far less than anticipated which worked out really well.
While Richard and Bryan were here, they were pleasant, talked among themselves, engaged my daughters (which my girls enjoyed), were pet friendly meeting my dog and more than made me feel "right at home" by not minding at all how many times I had to interrupt them to get into the kitchen. They cleaned up after themselves and left no mess anywhere. Actually, the only thing they left me was the leftover paint.
We are very pleased to have chosen Richard Moore Painting. So much so, we will look to him the next time we paint the exterior of our house in a couple years or so (I hope he hasn't retired by then)! Overall great stuff all around!
