    Puglisi Renovations LLC
I found them to be very easy to work with, and I thought they did a very nice job renovating and re-doing an old bathroom in my home. They were very pleasant and responsive, and were willing to speak with me and meet with me (or go with me) whenever I had questions during the planning leading up to the purchase of everything I needed for the renovated bathroom. They were very courteous and considerate, and did everything they could to minimize the dirt and disruption in my home during the days while they were doing the work. I was very pleased with the quality of the work they did for me and I felt it was a very fair price - and it was completed in my required time-frame. I recommend them highly and would certainly call them again if I needed to do further home renovation work.

    The Carpenter's Touch
This is the third time we hired Carpenter's Touch. We are very satisfied each time. We had a leak bathroom and it needed a total redo. Carpenter's Touch's price is very competitive and Junior is a great guy to work with. We will definitely consider them for our future work.

    JC General Construction LLC
We're extremely pleased with the service provided and are so happy with the results. They were conscientious and took real pride in their work. They listened to what we wanted and made suggestions if we needed them. They were on time and easily reached for questions. Most of all I felt safe and found them to be so very honest.

    Roca Construction
Roca Construction called me back in 20 minutes and showed  up at my house in less than an hour. We talked about all the problems/projects I had in mind. He gave me ideas and listened my ideas.  We decided to break the job to 2 different  jobs and do the steps and all the cement work first. Roca and his work men showed up at my house next morning around 8 am and started working. All the  workmen are  nice, polite, hard working and easy going. They returned every morning around the same time including Saturday and Sunday to get everything done. Roca has good ideas to solve problems and surprises that come about when you fix nearly 100 year old house he also has an excellent eye for detail. He has knowledge in many areas of building and fixing which is very handy. All the work turned out super and new brick steps look great and they match well with the existing stone front wall. I will be using Roca and his work crew again.

    Terranova Remodeling LLC
I hired Terranova Remodeling as the GC for my full house remodel when we moved to New Jersey.  Peter was recommended by a real estate agent we knew and I did call a few of his references from smaller jobs who seemed to like his work. He was the least expensive and was very responsive when it came to giving me a quote. From there it went downhill.  The renovation took extremely long and the workmanship was shoddy to say the least.  He cut a lot of corners and definitely tried to pull the wool over my eyes on several occasions.  Below is a list of things he did wrong or poorly:
    - Exterior doors were ordered incorrectly and installed incorrectly so that they leak a ton of air and will have to be straightened by someone else.
    - Interior doors were not installed correctly so that they now hang wrong.
    - One of his workers sanded over the expensive wallpaper in my powder room so that a whole section had to be re-installed.
    - He left antique door hardware in a bucket out in the rain for a month (that I had explicitly told him was being re-installed) and I had to polish it all by hand because it was so rusted out and tarnished.
    - Tiling was done and had to be re-done when it was not done satisfactorily resulting in use of extra materials.
    - Our dryer venting was not done correctly and had to be reworked by another contractor because it kept getting clogged
    - The bathroom fan was venting directly into the attic insulation. When I asked about this specifically said it was venting to the outside.
    - He cut corners by using mdf strips instead of wood moldings and back-bands.
    - The job site was generally a total mess and he could never find stuff.  This resulted in extra purchases such as hardware and paint because the originals could not be located.
    - He borrowed and used my materials and tools: drills, ladders etc without asking.  And he lost my painters ladder.
    - He never wrote anything down so I constantly had to print out new punch lists and lists of paint colors for him.
    - He ecommended several subcontractors who were related to him (unknown to me at the time) and who did an even worse job (the bathtub overflow was installed incorrectly and leaked twice which resulted in re-doing my kitchen ceiling twice, and the HVAC was installed completely incorrectly).
I have had several contractors in the past who did a good job so I consider myself both knowledgeable and not super picky, but this was a really horrible experience. If I had not been there to guide him and pick up his mistakes as he went along it would be even more of a disaster.  I have had a contractor and various specialists come in to fix the mistakes that he made and they have all commented on what a "bootleg" job was done and how it is incredible that we were able to actually pass inspections.
Had I lived here longer and had more time I would definitely had done more research and would not have used him. Hopefully this review will help someone else in the process.

    VR Builders, Inc
We've used them a number of times and he has done several jobs for us. The bathroom remodel was $15,000 and the other work ranged from $100 to $1,000. His prices were good. He has been real good. He shows up when he is supposed to. He is very good and I would recommend him.

    RGH Development Company
They were very reliable and have a really good reputation. They were very nice and Bob is an upstanding guy that people in the community know. I've interviewed them for other jobs over the past few years but haven't started anything else yet.

    Best Carpenters
Overall, we were very satisfied with the work, and Sergio's commitment to excellence.  There was no detail too small or large, that he didn't address.  He totally transformed our kitchen that it could have easily been on the HGTV network.  We are so pleased with his work that we are going to have come back and do more rooms in our house.
The cost we listed above only includes the charges for Best Carpenters.  We provided them the cabinets, countertops, lighting, flooring, ceiling wood, paint, and appliances.    Sergio's pricing is very clear and upfront.

Dr. Fix It's Home Design Studios
I have been using Mark for a very long time, maybe 20 years. I brought him in to finish a job when the guy who was working my kitchen quit on me. He made a bathroom out of my linen closet. He put closets in a bedroom, and also built in on my porch. He does repairs, plumbing, etc. I like that he has imagination. He can picture things as they could be. I don't think he's necessarily cheap, but he stands behind what he does. He's always been honest and reliable, just a good guy. The guys that come out are very nice and not afraid of the dogs, so that's a plus!
