Tree Service reviews in Midland Park

Called other tree services and all wanted to sell and quot;the big joband quot;. We only need branches removed that were a threat to our deck and house in the event of another bad storm. Fremgen didn't sell the big job...quoted on the exact work we wanted done. Gave us fair price. Cleaned up area...wouldn't know they had been there. Should have called them first. Would highly recommend.

    Amoroso Tree Svc Inc
Cutting down the large tree  took about three hours, and they did a very commendable job.  Everything
was done efficiently and completely, including a great clean up.  They had all up-to-date equipment and were very knowledgeable in the use of this equipment.  The men were courteous and professional.

Very smooth process.  Called the office to request an estimate and was given three options.  Once selected I was given the individual's name who would be completing the estimate. Estimate was completed as scheduled and service was scheduled for two weeks later.  Service was completed with no issues or complaints.  Very happy with work that was done, no debris left on property and all interaction with company representatives was very professional.  Will use again.

We've been in our home for over 4 years.  We have no large trees on our property, but there were many overhanging branches from the neighbor's trees, which probably had not been pruned in over 20 years.  Since that house is vacant and in foreclosure, we took it upon ourselves to have those bothersome branches trimmed, for our own safety and peace of mind.Mike came to see us on a Saturday morning, arriving exactly on time.  He's a Certified Tree Expert who answered all my husband's questions and offered his own recommendations for work that had to be done.  His thinking was exactly in line with our own.  Based on the rave reviews from Angie's List, we did not contact any other tree service providers.  We knew from having work done on other property that Downe's pricing was fair and reasonable.  They gladly honored the Angie's list discount and suggested that we wait for an invoice in the mail before paying. That alone shows how much integrity this company has.Within two weeks, we received a call that they would be doing the work for us that day.  Matthew, a Certified Tree Expert, and his crew could not have been better!  They spent over 3 hours carefully cutting and mulching all the branches which had caused us some level of anxiety in every storm.  We now have more sunlight on our front, side, and back lawns, and we anticipate an even greener lawn next season.  The men picked up every branch .. They were professional and courteous and clearly well trained in their work.We were so pleased with the work that we told our back neighbor about Downes.  They also hired Downes to cut down the same neighbor's trees on their side of the property.  They were equally pleased with their pricing and their service.  So its thumbs up from TWO households .. Great job!

Downes was very respondsive to my request for a quote, so much so that Tom (estimator) prepared quote on weekend so I could review it quickly.  Once I approve the quote we were alomost immediately given a time slot in the work schedule (approx 7:30 AM the following Monday morning.  I did receive a call, text and email that time would have to be adjusted to late morning.  Downes is obviously a company who prides itself on communicating with the customer if changes occur in the schedule.  Work was preformed to our satisfaction.  Only slight negative, was that crew left two (2) small evergreen branches on side of driveway.  Since town was picking up vegetation (grass clipping, branches etc), the next morning I put the two (2) branches on the curb and town picked them up.  I thoought overall a great job and the price was more than fair.

Friendly Tree Service is one of those companies that you hear about giving great service, but seems to good to be true. We had FTS give us a quote for the removal of a 40ft Spruce in our front yard. When I called, I was given far more options for meetings than I could count. I choose an early morning meeting. I met up with John and we went over the work. He returned to his vehicle and a few minutes later I was holding a printed quote for the work. I was impressed (being a technology guy) that I was handed a printed quote and not something similar to the scribble I had been getting from every other company for all the other types of work we were having done. This was top line professional.

A few days later I called and scheduled the work date. Simple easy.

On the date of the services, my wife was home until mid-day, but FTS had not arrived yet. She called me to confirm that we had the correct date, we did. She left for work shortly after. I arrived home 3 hours later, and sure enough the tree was gone! I was shocked. You would have never have known there was a tree there, unless you looked at the ground.

My neighbor asked me for their number, exclaiming that he has not witnessed such efficient precision executed work like FTS in a very long time. It just confirmed why I decided to go with FTS.

We still have some more trimming to do around the property and will be bringing FTS back in the spring when we begin our spring cleanup.

    Carney Tree Services LLC
Carney Tree service is extremely reasonable for the amount of work they perform.

We used them many years ago to remove a 32' foot Christmas tree from the front
of our house including grinding down the stump.

This time I had them remove large trees from the backyard and they came over
on a Tuesday looked and gave me an estimate....two days later they came and
    did all the tree removal.

You won't find anyone more reasonable servicing Bergen county which is notorious
    for overpriced and quot;anythingand quot;.

The borough notified me that I had a dead tree on my property. The tree needed to be taken down within 20 days. I called Wyckoff Tree and they provided a price quote the very same day. The tree was taken down two days later. Scott of Wyckoff Tree kept me informed of the timing and the details throughout the entire time period. During the procedure, a branch hit a neighbor's phone line. Scott spoke with the neighbor and gave her the appropriate number to call to restore service. He also made sure that she had some type of phone available - if not he would have provided her with a temporary cell phone. This is the third time I have worked with Wyckoff Tree and each time I have been very satisfied with the service provided as well as the customer interactions.

Jeff Smith All Seasons Tree Service
Jeff Smith doesn't exist. Don't remember the name of the owner but getting in touch with him is impossible anyway. You always deal with the office. They left things a bit messy, but the majority of tree work was done adequately. I expected more for 2 grand. They didn't cut one obvious limb that was in wires, but they came back two weeks later after 3 phone calls. They are very expensive for what they do. The owner is very affable and appears very knowledgeable, but after the work is "done" and you have to pay there's an air of distrust. I wouldn't use him again. I think he's a bit of a b.s.-er. He claims to have contracts with certain towns in the Northern Bergen County area, and while that may or may not be true, I didn't feel as a residential customer that I got my money's worth.
