  • Very unprofessional business. We requested a quote for chimney repair services, and the office said someone would be in touch to schedule an estimate appointment. After two weeks and assuming they weren't interested, we get a random call to schedule. They decided to blow off the appointment on a Saturday afternoon - no call, text, etc.. The guy called us the next day and said he would be available to come by at 4pm that same day - he blew off the second appointment too! After a text inquiry, the guy provided a sarcastic response filled with excuses. It only takes 30 seconds to call and let us know he needed to reschedule and he had two separate chances to do that. Can you imagine what the work would be like if you hired this company? Think twice before calling them!

  • Anthony went on roof and found cause of small leak. He made appropriate recommendations and took action to suit our needs. He was very responsive and very professional and got the job done. His price was very fair.

  • George J. Keller is a very professional company that stands by its work. We had leak the day we took over our new home. They sent someone out very quickly and did a repair to stop the leak. We later used them to install a new roof. They did a great job with the installation and all the trim work. They stand by their work making a small adjustment when needed and inspecting the roof for a leak that turned out to be masonry.

  • Workers were professional...all subcontractors overseen by a Monk's employee (George Day). Two different projects, two different job foremen, both competent and responsive. Not the cheapest game in town, though.

  • After a bad rain storm we realized that we had multiple leaks in our roof. Since it was late October we needed to quickly decide to either patch the roof now and reroof in the spring or reroof now. The weather in November ended up being unseasonably warm so we moved quickly for a reroof now. I first submitted a request for quotes through GAF Quick Quotes and received back three quotes in two days. I then contacted a contractor that reroofed my last house and another that a coworker recently used. The five quotes for my job ranged from $9000 – $19000. Four of the contractors were GAF certified which was important to me. I work for GAF and know that only our best contractors get into the Master Elite program. It also requires that not only the owner go through GAF training but a certain percentage of the crew actually working on the roof must also be trained. The lowest quote was from a non-certified roofer that I lost confidence in once I stared asking questions about how they planned to do the flashing, attic ventilation and ice and water shield. The highest quote came from a contractor that added way more than we needed to the quote such as all new trim, new cupola, soffits, etc. The middle three quotes were all very similar so it really came down to who I trusted most and thought would do the best job. Untimely I choose The Carpenter’s Touch. Neff contacted me promptly after receiving my info from Quick Quotes. We setup an appointment and he arrived right on time. Neff looked at the roof and we discussed my concerns. For the attic ventilation he considered both attic exhaust and intake. Lots of contractors will put on a ridge vent with no concern for intake. My roof does not have soffit vents so he gave me a couple of good options to consider. For the ice and water shield he recommended new gutters since my gutters were undersized for my roof and it would allow them to wrap the ice and water shield behind the gutters to prevent fascia board damage if the gutters backed up and help prevent ice damning. Our roof has a section where the roof meets a vertical wall (attached one story garage connected to a two story house). This is an area on a roof that is vulnerable to leaks and needs to be flashed correctly. For the flashing he recommended removing two layers of cedar shakes, running the ice and water shield up behind the shakes, adding step flashing, replacing the shakes and then adding some decretive flashing. This is correct way to waterproof this area however many roofer will take shortcuts because this is a time consuming process. For the actual roof installation a large crew showed up first thing in the morning and got started quickly protecting the landscaping and tearing off the roof. The crew was friendly and answered all my questions. It took about a day and a half to replace the roof and then another day and a half to replace the cedar shakes and install the decorative flashing. The whole job took about three days. They cleaned everything up and did everything by the book. Most people have to replace a roof once in their lifetime, twice if they are unlucky. I feel confident that The Carpenter’s Touch did everything possible to help ensure this is the last roof I will have to replace.

  • It was a difficult project requiring the removal of current siding, then significant patching, sanding and carpentry to prepare the original clapboard for paint. The crew was very hard working and super creative when it came to solving problems. They showed up on time every day and finished the project according to schedule. The price was very reasonable and no surprise charges. We are very pleased with AAA and would highly recommend them.

  • We had a master bath remodeled. Working with Magnolia has been a truly great experience, which really means something when you are talking about construction in your home. Chris was wonderful to work with, he was very respectful, helpful with the design and we appreciated that his main objective to make sure we were happy versus trying to keep to his schedule. Frank was terrific. His attention to detail was spot on and he and his team’s workmanship & craftsmanship was excellent. He put in beautiful wainscoting that makes the bathroom really awesome. We also had new lighting put in and plumbing re-done/moved to enlarge the bath. They kept to the planned schedule and we now have a beautiful master bath. We also had an new Anderson patio door installed by Frank which was also done well and square. We would highly recommend Magnolia(and already have) to anyone looking for a great contractor. (and don’t understand why the previous review would score them low when they didn’t do any work for the prior reviewer!) We would definitely use them for any future projects.

  • AA Custom Painting was by far the best painting/contactor experience I have ever had on my house. Andres was prompt in responding to my request for estimate and once the work started, I was continuously amazed on how meticulous the crew was from prep/sanding through cleanup at the end. I would use them again for sure.

  • I asked a friend for the name of the contractor who did her fireplace because it was just beautiful. I showed a picture of what I wanted to a few contractors and none of them could do what I wanted. I showed Jaime and he said no problem. I could not be happier with the way my fireplace turned out. It truly is my dream come true - exactly what I had envisioned. Jaime and his team are true artisans. He worked with me every step of the way - very professional. I will have him back soon to do the front of my house

  • We had a 150 foot retaining wall starting to collapse in front of our house. A BIG problem as we live on the side of a large hill. Sal came to the house and gave me an estimate right there while we were standing in my driveway. He was able to start within a couple of days of getting the green light from me. They used our existing stones, but rebuilt everything using cement, crushed stone, etc. They finished in 3 days. It looks great! We are very happy with their work and we are thinking of hiring them in the spring for some more work around our house.
