Eye Care reviews in Marlton

My visit I felt was okay, but hurried and didn't address my problems. She said it would be a waste to give me a new script. She said to wait for my sugar numbers to go down. That could take years. I was not happy with my care. I believe I'll be changing ophthalmologist.

    Staab, Dr. Al
    The visit was excellent.

There is plenty of parking and the office is located in a clean multi-office building off of Greentree Rd. The waiting room is a typical area with magazines and seating right off to the side of reception and the eye glass displays.

The actual exam room as well as smaller room for glaucoma and retina checks are very clean with modern equipment.

More then anything Dr. Staab is very friendly and willing to inform and explain things while doing your exam. He's very though and personable. He is a younger, family type guy and my exam flew by while talking about our kids.

The big box eye stores in the mall maybe quick but the level of service really isn't the same. I wasn't rushed or waiting and was in and out with no problem.

My VSP vision plan was accepted and Dr. Staab's office staff were happy to apply any discounts and make sure I get the best breakdown of price for my glasses.

I will definitely keep Dr. Staab and his office for all my vision issues for myself and family.

Your local eye doctor can also help with eye allergies and other related minor issues! It is definitely easier than going to some long appointment at your PCP.

I let Dr. Staab know I was on eye drops for my allergies and he recommended another solution that was newer and also had a redemption card for a reduced co-pay at my pharmacy.

Dr. Staab is absolutely fantastic. He is very personable and will definitely take the time to answer any questions that you have regarding anything in your visit. He is not pushy or give you the impression that you are a patient and HE is the doctor. He consolidated from 2 practices to the one in Marlton so his hours of availability should be getting better at Marlton.

The office is pretty much a standard office but I did notice he has a nice variety of updated equipment. He also doesn't shy from giving you a whole trial pack of contacts. I've had places give me exactly 3 pairs until the next follow-up but he gave me full trial packs for both eyes.

In terms of selection, I mean it is an independent office so he doesn't have the large selection available at mall stores but I didn't have any issue choosing a frame.

Bottom line if you want a nice personal experience with a nice doctor - Dr. Staab is great.

The exam went very well. Dr. Staab is very thorough, and takes his time. He was not in a rush to get me out of his office. He is easy to talk to and listens to me. His office staff were very pleasant, and they greeted me by name when I came in. They also helped me choose a new pair of glasses. Overall it was a very nice experience.

He does absolutely no advertising and he is really hard to find in a phone book but he has got so many patients that it is unbelievable. He has 4 offices and he is tied up with hospitals in Philadelphia. He does an awful lot of work and yet he is the most humble guy Ive ever met. An optometrist referred me to him. She just told me that he was the best that she had ever met. When I went into his office, they did an exam first. He told me that the cataract in the left eye needed to be done as soon as possible. I was wearing contacts and I could see half well. I made an appointment, got a blood test and an EKG done, and did the surgery at Wills Surgery Center. For an extra $1000, he told me that I would be able to use the left eye to read with. He told me that if I took the Medicare lens, I probably would not be able to read with it, and thats true, because I checked with a lot of people. I took the $1000 procedure, and now I can read with the left eye. I use no contacts or glasses now - I have 20/20 vision. I dont have to worry about the contacts anymore. He didnt think that I would need a specially made lens for the right eye. He said that he would just put the one that Medicare would pay for and that it wouldnt cost me a penny for the right eye. He is out of this world. I had an irritation in the eye, and he was on vacation in Florida. He had given me his cell number. I called him and he called me back in about 15 minutes from Florida. He is unbelievable. You never wait in his office - you are in there in 5 to 7 minutes. I make it a point to hand out his visiting cards to people I know.

He is a very reputable doctor.  He is professional, and he is compassionate.  I would rate him highly, and I would continue to use him in the future if I needed to.
