I don’t think he took me seriously.  I think their office was remiss and Dr. Yang was remiss in not knowing what was going on and in not caring apparently.   He acted like my limp was something frivolous.  He’s pretty fast; you zip in and out.  With the cost of health care so high, you should at least be getting decent health care.  The staff was very nice.  The doctor didn’t have much eye contact...

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
My neurologist was Dr. John Yang of Neurological Regional Associates.  I saw him about three weeks ago. An arthritis specialist suggested that the pain I experience might be neurological.  He recommended Dr. Yang and I went to see him last fall for the first time.  I went to UPenn for tests but they couldn’t get me in for the results until April.  I requested my results be sent to Dr. Yang.  I called the office and told them I was sending the results to Dr. Yang.  Apparently they never got the results and never followed-up with UPenn.  I did have a disk with the information but they didn’t have the right program to read the disk.  I had to pay my co-pay and I had to make a new appointment. I decided to see a new neurologist and they charged me $33 for my own records.  While reading what Dr. Yang said, he said that the patient” thinks she has a limp.”  I do have a limp after walking about a block or down a long corridor.  He asked me to walk across the room which was the size of an average bedroom.  Of course I had been sitting there resting and it didn’t show.  I explained to him how when I walked about a mile and I was almost crawling back because I was so weak.  My x-rays show I have a clear fracture in my vertebrae and he said “the patient thinks she has a limp.”  I wouldn’t be going there if I didn’t want to get help.

This physician did a quick evaluation by a card and then told me the three groups of medications I could try and told me to pick one. It was like pulling teeth to get him to explain the different groups and how I should decide on which one I should choose to try. After several days of a medication I was not sure if I was getting the correct response since he didn't tell me what to expect. I called...
