    Perrini and Sons Fences
We signed a contract with Perrini and Sons on February 27th to install a fence in our backyard. We gave the company a deposit to be used towards materials cost and were promised the fence would be finished in 2-3 weeks. Since then it has been a nightmare. After almost three weeks my husband was curious as to why we hadn't heard anything so he gave them a call. We were told the had been really busy but we were next and in fact their only client coming up. With that we were told that work would begin in the next week or two and that everything was good to go (i.e. Permits, materials, etc). At some point my husband called again with a business trip to India looming and still no word from Perrini, and requested that the fence not be installed while he was away from 3/26-4/2. The fence company agreed but said they would arrange for the materials to be delivered that week anyway so they could go ahead and start when he returned on 4/4. With no materials here as of Thursday, March 31st, I called the company asking what we could expect.  I was told that they should be there either the following day, 4/1 or Monday, 4/4 at the latest and we were still scheduled to go that next week.
The next week came and nobody showed and no materials came. We called and didn't hear anything for several days. Eventually Perrini called us back and that he had the flu but that he would start the following Monday, April 11th. That day came and went without any word or even materials as well. We called them again that week and were told at this point we were waiting for utility mark outs. Fair enough, except if we were supposed to already have started why wasn't that already done? If it was a simple oversight why couldn't that have been caught while he was resting at home with the flu? A week or so later the mark outs were done and we called again because he said he would start right afterwards. We didn't hear from Perrini until 4/21 when he said he couldn't work because his nephew had died.
After that, there were more excuses the following two weeks such as waiting on permits (supposed to have been done already and he blamed someone else for that), waiting for deliveries (also supposed to have been done already), weather, etc. Finally on May 5th the delivery truck showed up around 4:45 PM and half of the materials were unloaded. We waited the next day for work to commence and when nobody showed by noon, I stopped at the township offices to see if the was anywhere I could lodge a complaint and was informed by the zoning department that Perrini had only filed the permits the day before (5/5). I returned home and that afternoon he did show and installed 9 posts out of 31. The next Monday morning came (after he had texted my husband Sunday night to say he'd be there in the morning) and Perrini was a no-show. My husband called again and he said he was stuck in traffic (he lives right by us and needs no major roads to get here). Eventually he showed that afternoon and completed 13 posts (not 13 more than the 9 he had done already...13 total). I spoke with him and inquired as to how he got caught in traffic and he said it was from a fugitive capture on the parkway. Fine. That did happen, but when I asked him again to confirm where hhe lived he said here, but that he had physical therapy up north (after telling my husband he would be here in the morning and no mention of said physical therapy). Then I expressed my concern that not all of the ,ate rials had been delivered and he said they were on a palate ready to be here at his call and it wouldn't delay us any further. Apparently the only reason he hadn't had them delivered was to save our grass from having so much weight on it. The next day he did work for about two more hours (again he didn't show until the afternoon). He has completed 21 out of 31 posts to date and when my husband asked him why he doesn't come in the mornings he said he was working an overnight job as well but that it was over and it wouldn't be a problem anymore. He assured us he would be there the following day (Wednesday 5/11) to finish the posts and that the rest of the materials were coming Thursday. He never showed Wednesday or Thursday and neither did the materials.
We did call for an update and didn't hear from Perrini until this Monday, May 16th. He claimed to have broken his phone and had another family member die, but that he would be here Tuesday (yesterday) for sure and have everything finished for sure Thursday. He did not show by noon yesterday so I called him and left a message. I was crying and livid and explained in the message that I would be filing complaints and that he needed to contact us ASAP. He texted my husband that he was leaving a funeral (again not something he mentioned about having to do the night before when we spoke) but that he and materials would be at our house in the afternoon. Nothing. He then assured us that Wednesday (today) he would personally pick up the materials and be here. No Perrini. No materials. My husband called yet again and he said he was at the bank because his credit card was flagged and he now didn't know how he would get the rest of the materials to us and that it would be a while longer.
At this point I have had neighbors complain that metal spikes are in the ground and ey have kids and are planning a party that they don't feel they can have because of the spikes on the edge of our property, I have no fence to help keep my kids safe 12 weeks after we signed our 2-3 week contract, and I am expected to believe every excuse this man has thrown at us (which is more than the number of posts we have installed), and also expected to believe that he hasn't been working on other fence jobs in three months and that that isn't the real reason he hasn't finished the job we paid him to do. It is just too many excuses for one adult man claiming to run a reputable company. I don't like to pass judgment, and I don't want to say that everything he has told us is a lie, but it can't all be true. If I had this many excuses at my job I would have been fired a long time ago. I need him to be a grown up and finish the job he agreed to do when he signed the contract. We are not looking for reimbursement or to not pay any future costs, only for the job to be finished as promised.

    Sure Thing Home Remodeling
We were very pleased with the level of professionalism that Robert brought to each of the projects completed.  Sure Thing came to us as a recommendation from one of our neighbors, who also had a great experience.
I can tell you that all of the work was completed before the negotiated deadlines.  Robert put in a lot of additional hours to ensure that we had our deck completed for the holiday weekend without even being asked to.  Our estimated completion date was a full week+ out, but he wanted to make sure we had a new space to enjoy for the long weekend.  The deck is solid and looks great!
Robert is very professional and clearly has a passion for each job he is working on.  I would highly recommend him to anybody looking to have work done at their house...either large scale or small.

    Perrini and Sons Fences
Bob came to our home to give us an estimate on a black aluminum fencing for the front of our yard with the sides and back being black chain link.  First, he was the only company that I contacted that offered to come to my home for an actual measurement-the others wanted me to measure.   He arrived on time, made suggestions that we had not considered-and gave me my estimate prior to leaving.  I contact him the next day(October 19th) to contract him for the job-I explained to him that due to a certain situation-I needed the fence to be basically completed by Friday, October 26th..  Supplies were delivered-with Bob at my home to receive them-on Wednesday, October 24th.  Both him and Angel were at our home working both October 25th and 26th-not leaving until sunset.  On Saturday, October 27th-they returned to finish the small details.  Bob and Angel did a very professional job and all item (trash and Tree limbs) were cleaned up.  We live at the Jersey Shore-on Monday, October 29th Hurricane Sandy hit our area-our fence stood the test!
