  • While I was able to install the router myself, there are many people I know with FIOS who would not be able to do so. It is tVerizon's equiptment - should maintain their it themselves. (Similarly, the battery backup in the FIOS unit has to be replaced every few years, and, not only will they not install it, they will not even provide it (although they will gladly sell you the part - at twice the price it is available elsewhere))

  • i was getting fed up with all the mistakes on my bill all the time. There was rarely a month I didnt' have to call and correct something. For example, when I cancelled a premium channel trying to save some money, it kept appearing on my bills for 2 or 4 months despite my calling to have it corrected. and for some reason they had my service policy was mistakenly cancelled  (I paid monthly $3 premium to avoid service charge if someone needed to come to the house) at the same time and that also took more than one call to correct.   All these mistakes and their inability to fix it when I called , is unprofessional in my book.  The content and reliability of the cable/phone/internet service was very good however, no complaints.

  • THe installer was a great guy, no complaints at all.
    I have 3 complaints about fios so far 1) My first bill was incorrect
    however. I was charged an extra $100 broken into three payments on my
    first three bills. I called to have it corrected, but it wasn't . I
    called again and now I have to wait to see if it will actually be
    credited on my next bill. I will have to do the same for the next two
    billing cycles. It's annoying and I wonder if billing "mistakes" are
    built in to some of these companies - they hope customers won't notice. I
    had frequent mistakes on my comcast bill too. It drove me crazy how
    often I had to call them. 2) Fios ON DEMAND has been giving me a lot of
    problems. 3) My phone # wasn't attached to my account so I'm still
    trying to get that resolved because I can't login to watch on my
    computer until it's resolved --Benn almost a week so far.

  • I call them when they have different specials. I took off cable and I found that didn't make any different. I have been with them for several years. I would probable change if I had other options for cable. I have to call at least a couple of times a month to tell them I don't have service or something has gone wrong with one of the TV's. I wish they were more consistent. There are mistakes on the bill constantly. Barely a month goes by that I don't have to call them about something.
