    Top notch work throughout the entire project. When Arthur initially surveyed the work we wanted done, he provided construction suggestions not mentioned by other vendors. He explained in detail why these suggestions would avoid problems almost inevitable in remodeling a bathroom in a 70 year old house. His estimate was thorough; individual aspects of the project were broken out in the estimate so that the cost for each phase of the work could be understood. Arthur provided a good list of potential suppliers for fixtures, and we chose to work with several of them. They all provided very good quality products. One of Arthur's standard practices pleased us greatly - he insisted on inspecting each new item we ordered for the remodeled bathroom. He wanted to be sure that all tiny parts needed to install each item had in fact been included in each package, and that everything needed by his teams was at our home before he started work. This action on his part removed a lot of pressure from us - we could not have recognized that piece-parts of complicated plumbing or electrical fixtures were missing. When his teams arrived, they had everything they needed to do their work. He employs certified plumbers and electricians. All his teams arrived promptly as scheduled; were neat and clean; notified us when they took a lunch break and as they returned. They all worked hard - no loitering! He and his teams always protected our floors with drop cloths all the way from our home entrance to the room being remodeled. At the end of each day's work, his teams cleaned up the area being remodeled and folded up the drop cloths. During both demolition and installation of the new sheet rock, the teams taped plastic to cover the door to the bathroom so that no dust or debris came out into the house. Arthur worked alongside his team as the existing bathroom was gutted because he wanted to know immediately if any unforeseen construction issues were uncovered (none were). He visited the work site frequently to monitor progress and to answer any questions we had. Every aspect of the work done by Arthur and his teams was excellent. The new vanity fits perfectly in the space available for it. The tiles in the shower area were laid in two patterns, and all tile is beautifully aligned. Plumbing is properly centered. Arthur's recommended construction techniques had corrected the inevitable "out of alignment" issues so common in older houses so his teams could succeed so well. Arthur met with us personally after the project was completed to be sure that we were completely happy with the work. He followed this up with a phone call about a week later to be sure no new problems had been identified and to assure us that he'd address any future issues. Arthur planned his work carefully to address potential remodeling difficulties before any problems arose. He and his skilled teams delivered top quality work. We are extremely pleased with his work and would definitely hire him again.

    From the beginning Ray was hard to schedule. We would set a day and/or time and Ray would contact us to let us know he couldn't make it and/or was running late. We worked around his scheduling issues without complaint as we needed the work done. Ray finally came onsite and did a quick walk through of all the issues with my wife (who was surprised at how quickly he diagnosed all the issues). He needed to go out and purchase supplies and again scheduling was painful for him to come back and actually start the repairs. With scheduling behind us, Ray came onsite with a helper and quickly got all the work done and was promptly paid. When I got home I saw that Ray left all the old hardware that he had replaced in my garage rather than disposing of it. The work seemed to be performed professionally and neatly. Several weeks later I noticed that the bathtub faucet was still leaking. I called Ray and again had to deal with scheduling issues to get him to come back and look a the tub. He had misdiagnosed the issue and needed another part that I was to purchase and he offered the labor for free. I agreed. From that point forward for the next 21 days I tried to get Ray to come back to install the part. He kept telling me that he couldn't come for this reason or that reason. I told him to stop telling when he could not come and tell me when he could come. I sent him an email letting him know that I was not happy with the way he was handling this At that point he offered to reimburse me for the incorrect tub repair. I told him that all I wanted was for him to come back and fix my leak. It's been about a week and still have no response. I would not recommend you use Ray unless you have all the time in the world to get your work done. It was the most frustrating experience I've had to date with this kind of service.

    I responded to an offer on Angie's list for two plumbers for one hour. I had never heard of Lane Mechanical but liked the fact that they are located in Shrewsbury (5 miles from my home). Louis and his helper, Peter arrived on time, I needed a new garbage disposal, faucet and Insta-Hot installed in the kitchen. I had all of the parts already, given to me as Christmas gifts by my children. Also needed two flow valves installed on the toilets, one of which was a low profile unit and never worked all tat great. The job was completed quickly and within an appropriate time frame (one half day). I needed some additional parts, service items which were separate but were reasonably priced. The reasons why they were needed were explained to me. Two were shut off valves under the sink that were 25 years old. I am glad that Louis suggested spending a couple extra dollars to make sure the job was done right. Louis is the owner of the company. This was an added benefit and a reason to use Lane Mechanical again and to recommend them to my friends and neighbors. I prefer using local professionals that have a stake in delivering a first rate service experience. I have had larger companies in my home performing annual contract maintenance and at times, the technicians are not that experienced. More than once I have been told that the appliance (i.e.;furnace) needs replacing and the technician will leave behind a $5,000 estimate for a new one. They cannot answer questions if not directly related to price (good, better, best). Louis is of the "vintage" that what he tells you he says with the confidence that comes with a couple of decades of plumbing experience coupled with the pride of running a local business he himself owns. He told me what I needed to do and priced it fairly. He and Peter we careful to leave my home in the condition in which they found it. I could not be more pleased with what he and Peter did today at my home which is 50 years old and has a few issues. The sink itself is heavy duty cast iron and was installed in 1995. I wanted to be able to keep that and benefited from the TLC that Lane Mechanical furnished today.

    It was a huge project... I was totally scared doing that because the Construction plan was BIG and expensive. Being basically reconstruction virgin and starting this project was a tough decision for me and I was trembling to find a wrong person and then redo it again. But things turned the way it worth every dollar spent for that. This contact came to me through Angie's list.
    Peter and his crew made not only top quality job which is being admired by every visitor in my house including kids, but I was able to find a person answering ALL my questions which were multiplying with every single day from simplest to technically difficult. Peter, thank you for bearing me, I wasn't an easy client, but your treated me like your long time friend and helped me with every aspect of this project whether it was little or big issue. Your plumbing and electrical partners were always on the top of job and in time, Michael painted our great room with minimum time and left like he never been here, only walls suddenly start looking refreshed. My next project is kitchen and basement, I won't spend a minute looking for a different contractor. All Pro is absolute pro and they well deserved this reputation. Thank you!

    It was a positive experience I would call them again. They were prompt, professional, and responsive and I thought a reasonable price for the service we needed. In some unsolicited advice about some other things they saw at our plumbing system in terms of under the sink; only complicated they could streamline well if we make a garbage disposal, they would do the whole thing. They took the initiative to talk about what our situation was and it made sense. I can't think of anything they have done better. The problem was fixed and it never occurred.

    A team of two plumbers showed up and did both jobs I requested (described above) in about an hour.  I had been expecting Herb himself, but it was two other guys.  They were fast, quiet, and efficient, and did a nice job.  I took a point off "responsiveness" (giving a B rather than an A) only because when you call the number, you reach an answering service so always have to wait for a call back to schedule service.  I had to cancel one appointment and reschedule, so it ended up a bit of phone tag.  Even so, it's a very minor thing, and I will definitely use them again for future plumbing needs.

    Broke a pipe in the wall on July 4th. Left a message on his machine for a return call whenever they returned to the office. Called me back early on july 5th from out of state and said he would have his guys come over first thing. They were at my house before 9am,
    were very neat in getting through the wall to the broken pipe did a great job on the repair. Installed new supply line to the toilet and got the toilet back in working order. They were very professional and I really appreciated the emergency service as I had shut all the water to the bathrooms to stop the leak.

    Called vendor who was too busy to discuss the work and promised to return my call. After not hearing from the vendor, called once again. The vendor apologized for not returning my call and stated that they were too busy to take on additional work at this time. While they were not as responsive as I would have liked and the work could not be scheduled, I may give the vendor a call in the future.

    This firm needs to get their act together from a customer relationship standpoint. It took 3 separate calls to finally reach someone that works for Affordable Plumbing. The reason for this is that they use an answering service which does a good job taking your information, but this does not translate to a callback to the customer. Finally on my final attempt I was told they would call me right back...which they finally did. Unfortunately, this did not help my cause. As this firm has unusual times they work. For example, only in the mornings during weekdays. Nothing can be booked in the afternoon. Also nothing on Saturdays in the summer, even if it is an emergency. To be fair, this firm was one of five firms in my area that had good ratings, hence I reached out to them. But honestly, business must be pretty good, and they are not eager for work to the point they turn it down when not convenient for them. My perspective is that you nurture and maintain strong relationships with your vendors and these guys failed in customer relations 101. I would work with any of the other firms that have high ratings but show more interest in their customers.

    It was a real bad situation but we were very happy with the overall result.  Mike was very responsive and the price was definately reasonable.  Mike and his helpers were very respectful, professional and neat.
    I called Mike on a Friday afternoon and he had his helper, Joe come out to help troubleshoot.  Joe was a really great guy and he helped me pinpoint the issue.  The problem was very complex since there was no easy access to the cracked pipe.
    About a week later, Mike came out to take a look and he determined that we would need to remove a large kitchen cabinet/pantry in order to make repairs.  He arranged to have a carpenter come out to remove the cabinet and re-install once the pipe was repaired.
    It was a big job but these guys had it done in a few hours.  Most of the copper waste line and venting system was replaced with PVC.  Mike texted me pictures of the work he had done before the carpenter put everything back together.  When I came home from work everything was fixed and put back together neatly.
    I would highly reccommend Navesink Plumbing without hesitation.
