Basement & Foundation reviews in Lebanon

I was beyond impressed with the entire experience.  The attention to detail and the professionalism surpassed any previous experiences we have had by far.  The workers were punctual and did an impeccable job cleaning up when they were finished for the day.  I would highly recommend RYCO Contracting.  In fact, I already have.  They have started construction at my father's house!

The home had no existing driveway, and Hendrickson was kind enough to drive by the place and give  a good faith estimate.  His was a no-nonsense estimate that would have fit perfectly within our budget.  There was a lot of work to do there, but he didn't try to upsell.  I will use this company again when the time comes.  Trustworthy, kind and dependable.

Pierson was recommended to me by someone I trust.  I contacted Pierson yesterday regarding the removal of an underground oil tank on my property in preparation for the sale of my home.  She was extremely professional and understanding of my situation, explained the process patiently and expedited a site survey, while explaining how I could move the process quickly.  I look forward to updating the review after the work is done and my confidence is high based on my initial experience, my reference and the other reviews here

It started out fine, the workers were good and professional but as the work was progressing; things started to become very uncomfortable. Charlie began to act very unprofessional and I didn't want to be in my home when he was there.  This company was recommended by Lallygone when we were having our lally columns removed. Apparently they feed off of each other, referring business back and forth. Anyway, we wanted to change the staircase going down to the basement and incorporate the lower basement level with our main living space.  Charlie from the Better Basement Co didn't know how to do it so he told me to ask George from Lallygone. George said it could be done and we proceeded to plan for him to do the work. He was also making new custom stairs for us. George gave me a price and said he didn't care if I paid him or The Better Basement Co paid him so we just figured we would pay for it along with everything else, little did we know that we would be paying them 37 percent on top of what George said the stairs would cost! When the stairs were being installed we noticed that they were going to be too close to the wall at the bottom. We went back and forth and back and forth. No one would take responsibility for the mistake and WE were expected to pay to have the wall moved so the stars could go in. Things slowly deteriorated from there.
The sheetrock and spackle people did a horrible job and we had to have walls repainted after they had gone at our expense and in addition, we continued to find cracks in the walls from the lally column removal, including a huge crack in our two story foyer!!
Anyone with a two story foyer knows the expense involved in this!
We also hired the electricians who were working here to install additional outdoor  outlets when they were doing all the wiring because once the sheetrock ceilings were in, we wouldn't be able to do this without cutting holes in the ceiling. We bought and had installed new door handles and hardware in oiled bronze and they took our brushed nickel handles and hardware with them. I wouldn't have minded if I didn't need two for our main level where we still had brushed nickel and because they were purchased almost ten years ago, they are unavailable for purchase. Unfortunately, I trusted that they would bring two back and I gave them final payment. Another partner, Gary strung me along for weeks saying he would return our handles and one day called to say that they had been thrown away. They charged us 37 percent on top of the electrical work we had done outside, the stairs and doorway opening along with other high ticket items and expected us to pay to have the wall moved after we were told to "ask george if he can make the steps and opening." We wound up paying an extra $1100 on the stairs alone to The Better Basement Company when they told us to go elsewhere to find someone to do the work and then wouldn't even take responsibility for the moving of the wall! One can not have his cake and eat it. If they were going to put their commission on the steps that they had nothing to do with making or installing, than they should have absorbed the cost to move the wall!! The Better Basement Co consists of lying, cheating, and underhanded individuals; DO NOT ALLOW THEM ENTRENCE INTO YOUR HOME!!

Everyone I dealt with was thoroughly professional and competent. They explained the process clearly and answered all my questions thoroughly, came when they said they were going to, dealt with the township, and were there really early to remove the tank to meet the township inspection schedule (which saved me money). Only wrinkle was township threw in an extra permit no one had been told about that I had to get myself. All in all, a very smooth process.

I gave a review of this company in February after their initial visit. I decided to go with them. The work was scheduled for May 13. The three workers arrived on time and began work immediately. They made sure the work area was shielded from the rest of the basement to minimize mess. They worked very quickly and effectively. They even noticed a few things along the way that were unplanned fixes, that they made right at no additional cost. An additional sump pump was not in the original plans, however, it was suggested to install it when they were on site, at a significant discount. Aaron and his team did not mind that I was poking around to see how things were done, and they also made sure I was aware of any potential issues. Aaron made sure I was available when the water main was turned back on in case there were any issues.  When the job was completed the work area was thoroughly cleaned.

I waited until a heavy rain to update this review. After the rain I am happy to say that the basement is dry. My problem area was water coming in to the basement from a leaky Bilco door. That issue is now gone as promised. The thing I like most about this company is they do not try to sell you a job bigger than you need. They saw what I needed done to fix the problem, and did just that. The addition of the sump pump was quite reasonable and I am sure will only help.  I have already told some coworkers about A Graf and Son and am confident they will be pleased.

They are excellent.  Their prices are much more reasonable then others.  The day before hurricane Sandy they found me a generator and then they came over later and helped me unload and how to use it. This was nothing that had to do with the job they were doing, just who they are.  They are wonderful in an emergency. They will come over right away and do what needs to be done.  They are really neat and clean.  They were a much better deal then I think I could have gotten at other places.

All went well. Ken came to the house at a convenient time, surveyed the problem and mailed us a timely estimate. We contacted him to give go ahead and agreed on a date. Ken performed the work on the date. Very satisfied with the job. Ken was easy to talk to and explained the procedures he would perform.

Workers were very hardworking, tidy and cheerful. They cleaned everything afterwards and arrived on time each day. Aaron was right on target diagnosing the problems - the only company to correctly analyze what all the issues were. Recommended and completed only necessary work, no more, no less. Estimate was fair. Excellent value for the services and work performed. Highly recommend.

Being a single mom on a very tight budget plus little time to wait for contractors can make any work needing to be done on a home a very daunting task. Additionally, many contractors are unreliable or take advantage of someone in my situation, including a contractor who had taken money for a job and not completed the work. This is not the case with Posiedon Waterproofing. They are very prompt, neat, thorough, and polite. They made sure I understood every part of what needed to be done and worked with me to make it affordable to ensure my children's health - which to any mother is invaluable. I was very pleased with the entire process and the time taken to make sure I was comfortable and understood anything I wasn't sure about. I highly recommend them to anyone for work they may need done. The employees were very conscious about details and trustworthy. It was a pleasure of have them do work for me!
