    Hudson Home Improvement LLC
Joe was fantastic about setting expectations on schedule and pricing and managed to complete the work for the quoted price with no pricing surprises and ahead of schedule. Communication and quality were top notch - I wouldn't hesitate to use him again or recommend him to friends and family!

    Gideon's General Construction
We've dealt with a number of contractors recently and Marcio and his team were easily the most responsive. They took ownership of the project and exceeded expectations on several of the areas that were in scope. His team extended a fence in our backyard and also remodeled our basement (including some basic framing, new doors, drywall, painting, and floor installation). Everything was done in a timely and professional manner and the end result was true to our vision. If we had any questions or changes along the way, his team was incredibly responsive and amenable to making sure that we got exactly what we wanted/needed. We would highly recommend this team for household projects, renovations, etc.

    Bergen County Contracting
Had a great experience with Bryan and his team. They gave me good suggestions on what should be done. They took my ideas and we put a game plan together as to the best way to get the project done. They were very professional and got the work done on time.

    Tzano Inc
These were for renovations done for a new home purchase. The existing kitchen was abysmal and required a much needed kitchen upgrade, as well as some smaller bathroom upgrades. The service was exceptional. The guys at TZano were very professional, and have a great eye for building and interiors. The demolition was quick, and I was consulted all throughout the renovation process to ensure I was getting the product I wanted. The final renovation was light years ahead of what I expected. I would use TZano with the smallest and largest of future jobs. They are definitely an A++ organization.

Advanced Professional Plumbing Heating & Cooling
I already trusted this company after work they did to restore my house's sewer line only a few weeks earlier. After calling the company, repairmen were on site in less than two hours, allowing me to guide the repairs before I had to go to work. The repairmen were somewhat taken aback by the antiquated plumbing of the house but nonetheless recommended a thorough replacement of the pipes rather than piecemeal repairs of just the frozen sections.
Over eight hours, two repairmen worked tirelessly to replace the pipes, cutting away drywall where necessary and even bringing space heaters to keep the frigid basement warm to prevent further damage. They remained in contact with me after I had to leave for a busy shift at my restaurant job. They methodically tested the new piping for functionality before restoring water to the house and followed up the next day to ensure that there were no more leaks.
Advanced Professional's management allowed me to delay full payment for the job until my homeowner's insurance claim was processed and they have talked several times to the adjuster on my behalf.
This is my second job with Advanced Professional and I am already contracting them for new work!

    Barton & Company Mgt.

I hired Ricky Barton of Barton and Company Management for
several projects in my new home (built in 2008).  He was hired to do some painting , a new kitchen,
refinishing of floors, installation of new closet doors as well as a partial
bathroom remodel.  Upon first meeting Mr.
Barton & his wife, I was feeling very optimistic about hiring him.  He was very agreeable to everything and just
nodded and smiled and made things seem like they would be easy.  What I ended up with was rushed, shoddy work
that my boyfriend and I had to go behind him and try to fix. We also received a
horrible paint job complete with multiple paint drips in every room.  He and his wife were personally doing the
painting in my house when I thought I was paying for a professional paint job.
Paint drips are the most amateur of errors in a paint job, and surely for the
16k+ that I paid him I expected better.
My boyfriend and I had to go through the entire house and sand all the
drips and repaint & remove nails and patch holes that he previously just
painted over.  I pointed this out to him
and he informed me that that was a "different level of paint job,"
whatever that's supposed to mean.  Common
sense says that you prep the walls (sanding, fixing imperfections, removing
nails etc.) BEFORE you paint. Therefore, I was extremely confused as to his
explanation for the sub par paint job.

The closet doors were to be replaced because the previous
doors were brown and ugly. He was to install brand new closet doors that looked
nice (duh). We were left with closet doors that were improperly installed, off
track & crooked and 1 of the doors falls of the track completely every week
or so.   Apparently the floors weren't
level which was going to cause the closet doors not to line up squarely.  As my contractor, he was responsible for
letting me know that he had encountered a problem and what outcome I could
expect.  It was also his responsibility
to give me options on how to remedy the issue (since he is the professional).  Instead of contacting me and informing me of
the issue and asking me how I would like to proceed, he instead installed all 8
doors and they look jacked up and don't function correctly.  He contacted me every time he needed a check
(which I always paid immediately) yet somehow failed to contact me about the
actual work being done.  I expressed no
less than 4 times through emails & text messages my dissatisfaction with
the closet doors AND even asked on 3 separate occasions for a new estimate.  The new estimate was to include what it would
cost to have them installed correctly so that I could decide how I wanted to
proceed.  The estimate never came.  Instead, he "finished" the job and
then proceeded to hound me for final payment (remaining 10%). I offered for him
to come back and make the closets right thereby completing the job and he
    declined.  Therefore, I withheld final
payment.  I got an estimate which shows
that it will in fact cost me $2,100 to have the closet doors corrected.  He sued me & he lost.  The judge saw my evidence and all of my
documentation and photos of the shoddy work and ruled in my favor.

In the end, there were a lot of things that just weren't
    professional including:
kitchen cabinets- 80% of the hardware was installed CROOKED
which he did correct, but how amateur is that?
    Use a ruler...duh
dishwasher- my dishwasher wasn't securely installed and it
would fall forward every time you opened it all the way. (my boyfriend had to
    fix this)
He also said he would be installing a trash can cabinet as
well as towel  bars in the bathroom, both
of which he got amnesia about once the job was completed.  Make sure his contract has everything you
discussed if you still choose to hire him because he will make promises and
then say later on that he didn?t.  All in
all, I feel like he is a handyman at best and I got handyman quality work.  Not the professional job that I expected of a
    general contractor.  I wouldn't recommend

    The Concrete Makeover
We have a very old house and a small refinished basement, and so having work done can be a challenge. We are very happy with how our project with Concrete Makeover went. They were fastidious in terms of quality. During the last phase of the project--the epoxy coat--the epoxy didn't stick in some places along the base boards. They applied another coat and fixed the issue without hassle or extra charge. They also came in over the weekend so that it would be finished in time for visitors. We were incredibly appreciative of their response.
Because this was our first experience with a concrete floor and with this company, we had questions along the way. The owner and his son were always responsive to texts and answered all of our questions to our comfort level.
The floor looks terrific. We would work with them again or recommend them to others.

    On Time Construction
Walls - didn't replace the entire wall(s), just replaced up to where the water level.
    Paint - not great.
    Floor tile - not even.
    Door - ok.
Garage door - not even and not fully sealed.
Sump pump - not located properly, no top cover, and does not work properly.
Furnace - not installed properly and 2 open vent connections
Water heater - not installed properly, did not use proper vent to outside of house, and added a new vent through our brick wall.
Drains - not installed properly, installed inside the garage, and not outside the garage.
I don't really care for the price as long as it's reasonable and done right the first time and detailed.  They also take long to come back to fix there issues and also hard to get in contact with them.  They don't call back in a timely matter and it's like chasing them.  I will never ever use this contractor again or recommend them.

    Almost Perfect Landscaping
I contacted Frank in May regarding having work done in my back yard. After talking to him, and sending pictures of my back yard regarding my vision, I was told that I would get an estimate a few days later. After not hearing from him for about 20 +days, I get a phone call telling me, at the end, that he can't do my job. So, because my job included a deck I wondered if he could do part of it. After a few days of missed calls, on my part, he says that because he has other jobs in the area, he can possibly complete mine as well. Since buying my home, I have dealt with a number of companies that have made me feel like my business was wanted and appreciated until now. What a shame!!
