Dryer Vent Cleaning reviews in Jersey City

    OZON Air Duct Cleaning
Technician determined that dryer vent improperly installed. This was very important as prior owner and tenants never told me. So I know not to use dryer. Tenant who was there reported tech was on time, professional and good to work with. I also spoke with him via phone. He explained everything well and gave a reduction in fee because there was nothing to clean. He offered it. I did not request it

    OZON Air Duct Cleaning
Ozon did an excellent job. Called the day the work was scheduled to give me a time of arrival. Cleaned out the dryer vent and dryer and installed and braced a new vent connection tube--the old one was leaking and not properly connected to the exhaust tube to the outside.

Each time I called and received their voicemail, they were super prompt in getting back to me. The first time I called for an appointment, they were booked 3 weeks to a month out and while they wanted my business, understood the urgency for me to get my dryer vent clean because it started to smell. So, Orlando recommended I use another company that was NADCA certified. Despite a potential loss for business, I thought this was great customer service since he had my best interests in mind. Life got busy so I postponed the dryer vent cleaning and called again almost 2 months later. I got lucky with an appt available only 2 days later and they gave me a promotional rate that was a good deal. Jerz came to clean out my dryer vent, did a nice job and was quick and professional. It was a fair price and I was satisfied with the work. I will be calling them again the next time I need a cleaning.

    Castro's Refrigeration
Fifteen Minutes. Fifteen minutes, that's all it took. The technicians quickly and expertly diagnosed the problems, cleared the vent, and replaced a burnt-out heating coil and had the machine operational. They even beat another company I inadvertently called for the same time slot to the house.

The actual appointment went fine. The technician was prompt, professional, and in and out within 15 minutes. The irritating part of the experience came with setting the actual appointment. I purchased this from Angie's List and put in my 3 best appointment days and times. It turns out that this place doesn't do service calls on evenings or weekends, so we set it for President's Day, when I would be off from work. We set the appointment about 10 days in advance. Five days later, they called to ask if we could change the time to earlier, and I said fine. The day before, they called again and asked if they could change the appointment to 9 am, and I said no. Later that evening, they called to ask if they could reschedule to another day entirely, and that's when I had to put my foot down. It's not cool to try to reschedule 3 TIMES when they knew it would be difficult to schedule for another day. But the technician who came out was great. My issue is with their office and customer service, which left a bad taste in my mouth.

    Vesta Cleaning
It didn't. I spoke to representative from Vesta on Oct. 4 to schedule the dryer vent cleaning. Agreed to a date of Oct. 28 between 10:00 AM and noon. No one showed up and no one called. That afternoon I left two messages on Vesta's answering machine. Representative called on Saturday morning and said he had been out of the office and did not know why service was not provided. I said that I would contact Angie's List and cancel the contract. He asked for time to look into it. I agreed. We spoke on Monday, I indicated that service must be performed that week and service was rescheduled for Nov. 3 between noon and 2:00 pm. No one showed up and no one called. Late that afternoon I called Vesta. Representative told me that Angie's List and failed to pay Vesta for past two weeks and that Vesta would not provide service to Angie's List customers until payment was made. I told him that Vesta should have called me to advise that they would not be providing the service. He told me that Angie's List was responsible for advising me of such. I spoke to person at Angie's List who set up refund (since service had already been charged to my credit card through Angie's List) and would forward information about Vesta to business office. Regardless of any actual dispute between Vesta and Angie's List, Vesta missed first service date with no call or explanation and then rescheduled service with me. No mention of a payment issue with Angie's List at that point. Vesta simply wasted several hours of my time and then was dismissive about my complaint about not showing up or being called.

I REALLY WISH ANGIES LIST WILL CORRECT ITS FINE PRINT AND CALENDAR BOOKING FOR THESE SERVICES!! PLEASE READ AND THE OTHER REVIEWS ON RESPONSIVENESS FOR THIS COMPANY!! I FIND IT VERY MISLEADING. I purchased the service on September 15 Thursday since when I checked the schedule on Angie's list's they have several opening available for that weekend. They never called to confirm nor say anything that what I scheduled cannot be done. A week after, the owner, Robert, called and he said that the latest that they can come is within two weeks. I told him that is not acceptable. He said that the best he can do is September 30th. So I lost two weeks for a work that I was expecting to be done the same week based on ANGIE'S LIST CALENDAR. Robert said that the price on the Angie's list was only for 15 feet long vent cleaning. I never protested this claim even though this was on ANGIES LIST fine print because the size of my house is only 18 feet wide and the dryer is in the middle of the house. On September 30 and on hour that I have been waiting for them to come, Robert called and he said that they cannot make it that day because of the "train crash in Hoboken". Really!!! That accident is more than 5 miles from our place!!! I told him that we need the dryer and it has been two weeks. He said two weeks is normal, (really!! for the second time so ANGIES LIST calendar is misleading). I told him that we will then request a refund and have someone do the job, since we need that dryer that weekend. He said he will check someone who usually do a job for him. And call me back. The replacement came, we told him about that the outside vent could also be blocked since we saw some bird coming out of the vent. His first concern though was that the vent might me 15 feet long and for longer vent then he has to charge us extra. After 10 minutes he said he is done and it will cost us extra! I asked him about the vent on the outside and he said that is should be fine. I paid the extra money just to make this nightmare go away!!

    Vesta Cleaning
Service was performed last June 2016. Before we left for our August vacation, the same issue on our dryer lint showed. When we got back in September, we contacted Vesta cleaning to return and clean the vent coming out from the roof because they didn't perform that service. Instead they cleaned only from the dryer itself using a vacuum cleaner for $80 plus tip. They initially gave us a schedule of almost a month from the time I called and I said that's unacceptable as you know how hard it is to not have a functional dryer due to lint error. Initially they gave me 28th of septemeber which is today, but they were able to change it to the 20th of September. Two or three days before the 20th schedule, I tried calling their office (1800-769-1123) as written in their receipt, to confirm. But no one returned my calls. I called and left a voice message two to three times on different days to confirm but no one got back to me. I figured they didn't get to fix their trucks which was the reason they gave me why they couldn't come at an earlier date to fix the error. I even explained to them that the day after they did the service, the same error appeared again so I left them a voice mail but since the error didn't persist, I stopped following up. But now it has been everytime we dry our clothes, the dryer error E01 appears. We've had similar problems before but gets fixed by Sears once we had the dryer vent cleaned from the roof. Vesta cleaning never did that thus I advised them maybe they need to bring their tall ladder to be able to get to the roof and clean from there. As what they did on the day of service in June 9th, didn't work at all. I won't recommend your company to any of my friends and family simply because you don't have good customer service, second of all, poor work and you don't come at the scheduled date and time. And won't even leave us a message or note or anything. Angie, you should remove this company from your list. Your list needs to be prestine with only companies that warrant to be included due to high customer service and satisfactory completion of work performed. Very disappointed with vesta cleaning company.

    Peach State Clean Air LLC
It was okay. He had to come twice to do the complete job. The first time, it was raining. So he did not go to the roof. He changed schedules. I don't think that's punctual. It was a hassle because I had to coordinate between two services. It created confusion.

JDB Furnace & Air Duct Cleaning
The technician showed up pretty much exactly when they said he would, and got things done faster than estimated. He walked me through what he was going to do, answered my questions, and made suggestions for future work so the system will have fewer problems. He kept me informed as he went through the process, and he cleaned up his own mess. I'll totally be calling them next year when my ducts need cleaning again.
