Door Installation reviews in Jersey City

I had two jobs performed by two different handymen on two different instances. On each occasion, the handymen were professional, knowledgeable, and well equipped not only to perform the tasks at hand but also to address any issues/problems. For instance, the bathroom door I purchased was 1/5 of an inch wider than the door I was replacing and the handyman was able to shave it down to fit. Overall, I like the format of being able to assign a "list" of items/projects to be tackled around the house.

Everything went great. Dennis Panza is a true professional. He won't try to sell you anything you don't need, and uses only the very best replacement doors available. He took the time to go over options that were best for our situation. He is a genuinely nice person who stands behind his product and workmanship. On that note, our installer was Carlos who has over thirty years of experience and it showed in the outstanding job he did on both doors. Stop looking and gathering quotations from other companies. This is the one you want to hire. Highly recommend.

The initial phase of project went according to plan: the floors were replaced, kitchen cabinets were installed but then the project stalled. It was necessary for me contact OnTime repeatedly. Garbage and materials from the lingered in the back yard for months after I had pre-paid a garbage fee. Work was scheduled and then they wouldn't show up. If you call them, everything needs Davidl's (the owner's) approval. This project lingered for more than a year. There were excuses: the wrong windows and doors were ordered. Glass shelves were not sized correctly so part of the renovation was never completed. When they finally threw out the garbage they also threw away a table

Sean and his crew renovated my condo after a flood damage in early January. This is our first remodel project and prior to working with a contractor, we've heard pretty negative stories about GCs in general. And to our surprise, Sean was the exact opposite of what we've heard. Communication - I would rate myself as a very responsive person and because the remodel happened after a flood damage, I was quite in an urgent situation and was eager to get the project finished. Sean communicated with us in a very timely manner and on many occasions, live - as they perform a specific task within the unit. He responds to my texts throughout the night on matters and feedbacks I provided (re: inspection at end of day on a daily basis). Project timeline - we finished the entire project (lighting, kitchen, drywall repair, painting, floor installation, room re-arrangement, door/trim, baseboards, everything but tiles in the bathroom) within 5 weeks (which was my target). While there are glitches during the project, Sean was very honest and frank about the project and always communicated about the progress and delays if any. He arranged the day-to-day work appropriately so it uses the best of his crews' time and meet our deadline at the same time. Quality of Work - i can't complain about the integrity that goes to the work. Sean will be sure to modify and change anything that I expect, and if he doesn't, he would make sure he explains it so I can accept the reasons behind them. That's very important to me as a client. Even after the project ended, when we saw the need for minor fixes after we moved back in, Sean stopped by on several occasions to fix those things. Pricing - Sean's quote was very reasonable and he provided an extremely detailed breakdown of the costs (materials and labor). We know what we are getting, and it was this level of transparency that ultimately led us to hire him for the job. During the project, he provided receipts and if there are any incremental costs not foreseen before, he'd communicate that prior to purchasing. In the end, we spent maybe just a little over $1k more than the quote (which is VERY GOOD) compared to many stories I've heard. He even assisted in providing information to my insurance company for the claim, and was very happy to do it. Overall, I think he's professional and certainly added an extremely positive reputation to his industry. I would certainly work with him again in the future and have already recommended him to several neighbors.

The team is very responsive. They performed high quality work in a timely manner. They have been able to help me with all my requests and some even without extra charges. The price is also very transparent. Would definitely hire again.

These guys are phenomenal. I don't want to work with any other contractors. They are so professional and so reliable. Their prices are fair and their skills are top notch. They can do anything you want. They are funny guys too and are a pleasure to work with. Don't hesitate to call them. The price is competitive but with these guys it will get done right the first time and you won't have to call another contractor to clean up the mess. I've reviewed them before but I'll say it again, these guys are busy for a reason so if you can get them on the books for your renovation, DO IT!

My family has hired Rommel for modeling our home and he is a con artist. He is a liar and unreliable. He refuses to finish his work that was discussed and agreed at the beginning. He will bait you with "cheap" price and then prolong the project to squeeze as much money as possible. We will not recommend him to ANYBODY.

We were quite satisfied with the work (hopefully, you can get a good idea from the pics). Henry came out in person to the condo almost immediately to do the initial walk-through - and he very diligently assessed our requests before giving a quote. He was then ready to start the work within two days. Throughout the duration (about 7 days), he was generally responsive and even helped us pick out the windows.

Very fast, very reliable and the quality looks great. Some other guy came to give us crazy quote and told us it would take at least 6 weeks. Rick just give us one price, a good price and have everything done in 2 weeks. you should trust Rick 's estimate, he is decent and reliable and worthy for long term work.

I needed a couple of odds and ends done at property I own, so I made an appointment with Louie and he cancels our 1st appointment due to unforeseen circumstances, ok I understand. We make a 2nd appointment at 5:00 on Monday texts me that day and cancels that appointment, says he's behind on a job he can't make it. In the meantime, I leave early from work, my husband leaves an appointment rushes back to meet Lou so we can get an estimate, inconveniences my tenant, and he nonchalantly just cancels, didn't care in the least how he inconvenienced me or anyone else. Would never use him, and suggest you don't either...
