  • Steve Levy - he is the best mold sleuth I have found. He has performed mold testing in my home for me twice in the last few years, successfully. But way beyond this, Steve is always there answering any questions you may have and in helping you make important decisions on the health of your home. Many, many times over the years I have called on Steve to brainstorm a decision I was making over a contractor or correct procedure or the right chemical to use in the mold remediation process. He was always willing and able to assist - even this past year, I asked him to come to my house and test again. He came to talk and advise us on the right decision, and he decided that instead of spending the money on testing, he said "I think you should better put the money into the mold clean-up." He left without charging us. Steve is true to his profession and a great guy! He won't steer you wrong, and he is the best mold tester. He finds the mold when others are baffled or incorrect. Trust him and get your home healthy for yourself and your family.

  • Steve and his crew were very good. From start to finish it was a pleasure dealing with this company, very responsive, on time every day which was important as I have children to and from school and other daily activities. They completed the project and did so within budget. Was very happy with the results and would recommend to friends and family. The work was performed to our standards, and they were capable of doing all phases to include new insulation, new sheet rock walls, and trim and insulating, and painting. This was very convenient as it cut down on my time to find and review and hire multiple contractors.

  • They put something on the walls and in the air and we kept the basement door closed for several hours, then were allowed to air out the house They sent 2 men in to do the job, tthey were polite & courteous and explained everything they were going to do. They also called 1 hour before to let us know the time they would arrive, it was gauranteed for 1 year.

  • It was good. On his quote, he did not give me enough explanation of what the procedure was of all the things he is going to do. It was not quite as thorough as I wanted. I need to know if I am doing everything according to industry-standard protocols and legal regulations. They did it from their own protocol. I think it was just a little bit short of giving a complete explanation.

  • They were very high-priced. He turned me off really completely. He just walked into my house and was blurting out things. He did not consider what I might know. He considered me as a no-nothing person then he started to tell me that my house is going to cost me thirteen thousand and I had to get an air purifier for each room which I already have and I intended to get another machine but he was dictating exactly what I had to do. He did not even measure, he just walked in and started taking and did not even see the whole house.

  • This company came to house in January for estimate, and later they followed-up because we had not contacted them about the job.  Ultimately, we decided to hire the company for mold remediation.

    I spoke with Tom Crockett, the owner of the company, and the job was supposed to start on May 31st. They called that Tuesday before they were supposed to start (which was10:30 am) and I was home waiting for them; he said that the chemical they needed had not yet come in. He then said that they?d start the next morning. The mold remediation guy (Frank Hamburger) came later on that date, and alone, which was odd because we expected that he?d start the job with a crew of men.  He wanted to look at how he was going to start the containment and set up the decontamination room. He went through the household with me and we went through everything. We talked for about an hour or two and he said that Tom asked me to sign a contract and provide payment.  Tom had told me that the contract price would be $5390, which was signed on 6/1.  We put 60% down on that amount, which was around $3234, which I paid on a Discover card. I have since disputed this charge with Discover.

    My husband and I came to the house yesterday and there was some odor from the chemical and there was a 5 gallon bucket of chemical. Frank left that day at 2 pm and he said that he had a few guys here with him.  I tried to reach him around 3:30 pm and he finally called me back. He had promised to call me once a day to update me on what was going on ? but at the time that I called him, he told me that he hadn?t called because they had a problem with the chemical.  He also didn?t call the day before.  Even Thursday morning, he did not call me.  I called him on Friday morning and had to leave a message.  Even on their emergency line, there was no one answering it.  I could not get a hold of Frank or Tom; their voicemail inboxes were full. When I talked to him on Thursday, he told me that they decided to leave earlier the day prior because the chemical was bothering the workers and that they were going to find new chemicals. He said he?d let me know what they found out about the chemicals.

    Today, Friday, no one came, so I called because I hadn?t heard from anyone. I was told that there was a new chemical to use but that special protective gear was necessary.  He said that after getting the gear, he?d be over to start, which he expected to take an hour or two.  When we got home that afternoon, no one had been here and we have received no phone calls. I have called several times and not been able to get a hold of anyone. I have left messages with everyone and on all numbers, but no one has called me back all day.

    My house is in total disarray because of this project; everything is packed up and in the garage or at my stepdaughter?s. It has been a horrific experience. What Frank has done to my house is unbelievable; to support his contamination room, he put a wall and nails in my dining room and the hallway and nailed a large board to my ceiling leaving big nails in my ceiling. I?ve seen a lot of remediation, and I?ve never seen anything like this. These people are frauds and thieves. They?ve basically stole our money and don?t intend to do the jobs. They even left a dirty work towel in my planter on my front porch, which was the last straw! We gave them a key to our house because we thought they were a reputable company and now I?m nervous about them having it.

  • I spoke with Tom as well as the girls in the office to schedule an appointment. We had a big snow storm and had to reschedule. I didn’t hear anything for over a week but when I called back, I didn’t get any kind of cooperation from them. I tried to call multiple times until I finally gave up and chose to look into other providers.
