    Knolltop Nursery LLC
Al is one of the nicest people to work with! He came up with an amazing plan that transformed our small backyard into a little oasis. He chose an amazing variety of plants and trees (we had about a dozen 10 foot evergreens put in) from the biggest to the smallest with such artistry. He created a stone stream to mask a drainage pipe he put in. He created a beautiful stone patio that had moss and greenery between each stone to bring in more of nature. We have an amazing stone bridge that goes from our old patio to this new sitting area and he put in large stone to surround it for more sitting room. He also fixed and extended a wooden rail fence that had been there for a decade or more but was in bad shape. His team was very professional and considerate. They also were adaptable to last minute changes like when we asked him to add a little gate between our property and the neighbors so our kids could go back and forth when they played together. They even repurposed some of the old plants that were there from before. Al is an artist. Not only would we hire Al again, we're going to try to get him (he's very in demand with a busy schedule) to work on the front side of our house that we didn't include in the last project.

EXCELLENT JOB! Professionals from start to finish. Steve returned my call quickly, very flexible & had the men out in less than 2 weeks. We have a big property with lots of beds. After years of being underwhelmed by numerous landscapers, Steves crew, headed by Max, did an outstanding job. Meticulously removed ALL WEEDS, debris, etc. in beds, great job of edging, and mulching (didnt scrimp on the mulch), including planting some bushes we had purchased on our own. Also placed river rocks in various locations for drainage as well as aesthetics , and added little stones to compliment existing slate in a path area around our deck, because previous tries w/ mulch did not work. Reasonable price, too, and WELL WORTH IT!

    Turf Irrigation-New Jersey
Scott is very easy to work with and very responsive to questions and our difficult schedule. He came out to meet us on the weekend and evenings. He worked with our landscaper on a big project and updated very old equipment. His prices were much more reasonable than the competition in this area. His team was friendly, hard working and thorough. We're still working on the lighting part of this project, but we really liked his recommendations and his attention to detail. We'll definitely continue to use Turf Irrigation in a seasonal contract. I would also like to comment on how unfair the overall Angie's List rating of his business is. It's based on one review of someone who never used Turf Irrigation services. The company got As from everyone who actually used their services, but those reviews are older so no longer counted. I read through all the reviews when our friends in this area and our landscaper recommended Scott and I encourage anyone considering using Turf Irrigation to do the same.

Steve is probably the most attentive and responsive service provider I have ever worked with. Steve was hired to makeover the entire front and backyard. His hardscape team run by Malica is top knotch. They had a lot of great ideas in addition to doing high quality work. There were some issues with a few of the stones being loose and the team including Steve have been super responsive to remedy the situation at no charge expeditiously. With the landscaping, there were issues that happened outside of Steves control but he quickly remedied the situation even though it wasnt his fault but an issue with onion grass growing out of control through the mulch. Steve quickly came to my rescue then and when some flowers/bushes he planted in November didnt come in, he fixed that also at no extra charge. Steve may seem expensive at first but I priced him compared to others and it was comparable and the level of service was extraordinary. Between Steves responsiveness and professionalism, I cant say enough about how pleased I am with finding him through Angies list. I would highly recommend him for any landscaping or hardscape work needed.

I have used them a few times; always professional and punctual; also offer great alternatives balancing quality and value. Purchased shrubs with warranty; one died; and they replaced quickly with no hassle. Will continue to use.

From the beginning Steve was very responsive and his company did an outstanding job and turned our front yard into the best on the block. Work was performed earlier than initially promised and workers were prompt, efficient, and professional. They even did some extra and trimmed some bushes. I will be using them again for sure and highly recommend them. Price was more than reasonable.

I was truly pleased with the quality of work and the level of service. At first I thought the price seemed high but when I compared it to others, I realized he was right in the ballpark. Steve was a pleasure to work with and he hires/works with top notch professionals.

    The Sprinkler Company LLC
I contacted the company through Angie's list and they responded immediately. They came the next day and worked with me on a plan and a quote. They gave me a date. They took care of everything (e.g., building permit) and arrived on the given date. The crew introduced themselves and explained what they were going to do. They cleaned up and you can't tell anyone was there. My lawn looks untouched but the watering is nearly perfect! They thoroughly explained the system controller so I understand the program and can easily modify it when I need to. I expected a lot from them and they exceeded my expectations. I will use them for regular maintenance, too. (Winterize and spring activation)

It was all part of the same job. I help him captive for two weeks. He's honest. He worked very well with us. He doesn't overcharge either. I had no idea what to plant. On the side of us, there's a hill. When we had our back yard extended and everything, they took a big chunk of the hill to extend the backyard. So, I had this big dirt pile back there. I knew it was going to wash away. It was a 4 foot drop where the front loader came in and cut out the dirt. So, I knew we had to put up a retaining wall of some type in. So, I bought all the stone and it sat there for a year. My husband didn't do it. He kept saying, "I'll get around to it, I'll get around to it". So, anyway, he was across the street working and I wondered over and I asked him he built retaining walls. He said, "yeah," and he walked back here and said, "yeah, I can do that. It'll take me a couple days. I'm busy, but I'll be back", and I said, "what would you charge me to do that and then put some plants and stuff up there. I don't know what I want to do. I want something that grows fast and for privacy so the neighbors aren't looking down on our patio all the time". He made all these suggestions and everything. Then the day that he was going to get the plants, I asked him about adding extra bushes on both sides of the house and clean up and everything. He's a real small operation, he says, "well, I don't have my check book with me or anything to pick up the plants or anything", he was going over to pick up the stone. I said, "well, I'll give you a charge card". He charged me wholesale for all of the plants. He brought them back in his truck and he put them all in the drive way. He said, "just keep them watered until I can put him in". I'm talking seven 5' bushes, 6 cypresses, which is what he recommended, a big flowering cherry thing that went in there, a bunch of hosta, a bunch of boxwood, there was a bunch of stuff. He was willing to pass the savings on. When he was here all the time, him and his little guy that helped him build the wall, I fed them and ordered them pizza. It was hot and I took out water and everything all the time. He was so appreciative that I worked with him and I was extra appreciative that he worked with me. I kept bringing all the neighbors over to show them everything he was doing. I think he got three sprinkler systems on the block. We had a bid years ago to do it and it was $7000 so when he said "I can do it for maybe $20-something", I said, "G*d, please do it" and it kept spiraling from there.

They worked their a**es off. For the price, I would give a "B". I almost choked but it was perfect. The quality was unbelievable, their workmanship is unbelievable, the team is unbelievable. The man who owns the place is just fantastic. I actually had them do some patio pavers for me. I wanted steps put in from the front to the back yard on the side of the house and he suggested these huge stones. It's gorgeous. He put them on the side of the hill. It's all on a hill and goes down to wet lands. So, the back yard was originally 10 feet and probably plummeted 45 feet down. He filled all of that in. It was 15 or 20 dump truck loads of dirt. They had to wheel everything to the back yard. They built the baskets in the front yard and all of the stones that you fill them with into the back yard. So if I think about it with all of the man-labor labor hours and everything and all of the materials, it wasn't a bad price, but it was a lot of money for me. The price was a shock. It was a lot of material and it was quite a distance. It took me 6 months for me to even find someone to to do this. He's in Colts Neck, New Jersey.
