    We got Appliance Werks through our home warranty service plan. They were very responsive in calling me to set up the appointment. A workman came over on time, put on shoe covers, and was generally respectful and very knowledgeable about what was needed. He had to order the parts and within a few days they called to set up the second appointment. Again the second workman was very nice, respectful (he went in and out of the kitchen door so not to track dirt through the house), very knowledgeable and did a great job in fixing the fridge. When I had a followup question, the owner was very responsive to it and even offered me some information regarding an unrelated appliance installation project I'm working on. Payment was based on our service plan so I don't know what they would have charged for this service had I paid them directly. However, they were so easy to work with and so professional, I would definitely hire them again!

    J Battles Heating & Refrigeration Appliance Repair
    Kevin was great. He called around and found the part and ordered it; the supplier said it probably would be in the next day (this was just before New Years weekend). Kevin said he would stay on top of it and be back at my house the next day. He followed up as promised, got the part and was back late Friday afternoon. In about twenty minutes he had me up and running. Except for J. Battle I am sure I would have been without a refrigerator for the whole holiday weekend. I thought his price was very reasonable. I will be calling J. Battle again whenever I need any appliance repair.

    Very good.  Knowledgeable, professional service.  Fixed Disposal quickly, efficiently, and effectively.  Have also used Johnnie's in the past for refrigerator repair.  Same quality service.  I will use Johnnies again, without question.

    They charged me close to $2000. I liked everything about them. It's always a combination of things. It's always price, service, quality, responsiveness and all that kind of stuff together. I would absolutely use them again in the future.

    Mike Mustaro, owner/operator of Mr Appliance of Camden Co, is very reserved and quiet, but seems to know what he is doing! He figured out that my 10-year-old double electric/convection oven needed 2 new control boards. This diagnosis was made in a one-hour service call. There was no charge for the service call, it was factored into the total cost of materials and repairs, which came to about $550 for 2 new control boards.
    He ordered new control boards after the Friday service call and installed them the following Tuesday morning. He said control boards totaled about $375, the balance was for the service call and the labor. Only downside is that he gives you a receipt for the total, but parts vs labor costs/tax are not itemized, so one doesn't really know the breakdown of how the cost is configured.
    Called several companies, used Mr Appliance of Camden Co as he was the first to return my call, and he had experience with Dacor ovens (some local companies do not work on Dacor). Loved that he put paper booties on over his shoes when he entered my home-- during high-pollen season outside! Thrilled that my ovens now preheat and cook beautifully. Better to pay in the ballpark of $500 for a reliable repair than to have to buy new double ovens to the tune of $5000!!!!!!!

    Called based on the great reviews here on Angie's List about our dishwasher that wouldn't turn on. John answered and suggested I try a couple of things to see if I could get it working myself. I really liked that.
    Agreed on a day he would come. He was at our house by 9:00 AM, showed us what the problem was, had everything needed to fix it with him, and fixed the problem.
    Very impressed with the professionalism and excellent customer service as well as the repair job.

    Turned out to be a mouse had chewed through the drain hose! Technician diagnosed within fifteen minutes, replaced the hose, then offered to plug the hole (with steel wool) that allowed the mouse access to the hose! All told spent a little over an hour on location. Dishwasher was reinstalled perfectly into custom cabinetry.
    In addition technician gave me lots of advice about other high-end appliances (SubZero refrig, Dacor range, etc.) and how to maintain. Very impressed.
    Not sure how much a repair like this should cost, so I have no idea whether the amount charged is fair or not. I do know that the guy was clearly competant, and provided lots of and quot;value addedand quot; with advice on the side.
    Would certainly use this company in the future.

    Sears Home Services Repair has horrible customer service. 
    Our washing machine door quit locking (and therefore the machine wouldn't start) two days after the warranty expired. Made an online appointment. When it was close to our window of when the repairman would be here and I hadn't heard anything, I called. They couldn't find our appointment, even though I had a confirmation email. Yet, I was assured that if I had an email, someone would come. No one did. Several hours later that night, the automated calls started to come in. "It is very important that you call to reschedule your repair service." 
    After getting this message several times,  a day, I called to tell them to stop calling. I ended up with a customer service representative who promised a whole heck of a lot to get us to rebook. Money off. A new warranty. A new machine if mine was unrepairable. A promise to call the day before to reassure me someone would show up and call me after the repairman left to assure everything was okay. She never said she was sorry for the missed appointment or the endless nagging phone calls. Only that she "understood my frustration."
    The repairman showed. She never called. He had a note to give use some money off, but nothing else. Of course, he didn't have what was needed to fix my door, so he had to come back the next week. When he came back, the fact that we had been promised money off was out of his system. I was able to rectify that, but then he told us that the door he replaced probably wouldn't be under Sears warranty because the company that makes the door doesn't put a serial number on it. Without a serial number, Sears won't stick to their warranty. They'll think I put a non-Sears door on it just to get free repair. 
    When I phoned the customer service person who promised me so much, she did not return my call for about a week and a half. Her message said, "I'm following up on your repair. How did it go?" I told her exactly how it went in my message. I never received the new warranty I was promised on the entire washing machine, and there's a good chance that if the new door breaks again, it won't be covered because Sears ordered me a door without a serial number. 
    I will never use this company again and I will tell everyone not to use them. The customer service reps will tell you anything to get your business, but they actually don't deliver on their promises.

    I called Johnny's yesterday at 3pm with a dryer that wouldn't turn on. By this 11:00am the next day, it was in working order! The technician was prompt, polite, and called when he was five minutes away. And of course the price was very reasonable; $150.
     I've called other places for service on appliances. They took a week to come, had to order parts and return a week later, and were generally unpleasant to be around. 
    I will absolutely call Johnnie's the next time I need service on an appliance.
