    Andronaco, Dr. John A.
I have been very happy with my experiences with Dr. Andronaco. He repaired my knee for me. I have had no issues since then. He seems to research and be up to date with information. I have been using him for many years. I have never had a problem getting an appointment with him. His staff is friendly. He I will continue to use him in the future.

    Meese, Dr. Michael A
Dr. Meese is not a warm and fuzzy person. However, he is a very competent and attentive doctor. The wait is often very long in his office. I went to physical therapy after both surgeries. After the second surgery, the damage was more severe, so I had to have a series of three shots (synvix, I think). Now, it's up to the shots and if I can lose weight to see if I need more surgery. Dr. Meese was always receptive to my suggestions and listened to me. I will stay with him when the time comes for partial or complete knee replacement. The office has moved to a new facility on Elm St, in Hackensack, about a mile south of its old location. It's a much bigger waiting room. The staff is friendly, but sometimes overwhelmed.

ACTIVE ORTHOPAEDICS & SPORTS MEDICINE PA
Recently, my right knee popped out all the time. I had not injured it or had problem with this knee before. I have been to some Orthopedics doctors before for left knee problems, and haven't found one that's to my satisfaction. Most of them just recommend surgery or physical therapy. That was the main reason I signed up for angie's list hoping to find a doctor who actually listen and communicate instead of making a diagnosis the 1st few minutes of my visit. Unfortunately, Dr. Michael Gross, the doctor I had appointment with from Active Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, was the same as any other doctors. I went in the room, he came for 2 minutes, sent me to X-ray room. Back to the room after he got X-ray result, stay for another 3 minutes and wrote prescription for me to have physical therapy. what i was not happy about his service was that he didn't even explain what the problem was or show me the X-ray or anything. When I asked what was wrong, he said it was 'probably' weak and he was in such a rush that he cut me off when I wanted to find out more and just went on to write his prescription. The total time I spent with him was less than 5 minutes. My whole doctor's visit lasted less than 30 minutes that include checking in, filling out forms, getting X-ray, and meeting the doctor! I'm really just looking for a doctor who can listen and explain to me the problem in clear language I can understand. I don't believe in one-bill fits all diagnosis.Telling one to have surgery or physical therapy is easy, explaining what the problem is or why those options are for you is hard. But I guess even that is asking too much. These doctors are are in a rush to get patients out of their rooms. If your goal is the same as mine in terms of looking for a doctor, I don't recommend this doctor.

ACTIVE ORTHOPAEDICS & SPORTS MEDICINE PA
This is a very busy and professional medical practice that specializes in sports injury but treats a range of orthopedic problems. The staff is very efficient and thorough, and any issues that arise are taken care of. Questions to the doctor following the appointments are dealt with almost instantly, and their attention to the patients is very good. The medical staff are of the highest caliber and the care and treatment reflects this.

Was experiencing lots of knee pain...he took x-rays and recommended exercise. Not much in the way of advice.
