  • From the moment I called to make an appointment the staff was very accommodating in setting up an appointment as soon as they could and at a time that worked for me which were evening hours. They asked me to arrive 30 minutes before my appointment to fill out paperwork. When I completed the paperwork they actually called me in 10 minutes earlier than my appointment was scheduled for in order to take care of all the things that are done without the doctor. My appointment with the doctor started promptly at 6 pm which was the scheduled time for the appointment. Dr. Markowitz asked me a lot of questions about my medical background to get a thorough medical history from me and also answered every question that that I had about issues I was having with my birth control with detailed explanations. In addition, he asked if I may be planning a pregnancy within the next year or so and when I said yes, he explained that some of the things they do for their patients in advance to help the mother stay healthy during the pregnancy. He advised me to get tested to see if all of my vaccines are current and to also get an updated Tetnus and Pertussis vaccine especially since I work at a school and can be exposed to some of the illnesses that the vaccines would prevent. He even called in my prescription so that I could get three months at a time so that I do not have to go to the pharmacy as often to make things more convenient for me. Overall I was satisfied with the appointment because I felt that he took the time to get to know me because I was a new patient, did a thorough exam, and cared about my health.

  • He spends a lot of time with patients and even when he is busy he answers, asks, and encourages questions. He is a very sensitive guy. Once in while he might have to cancel because he has a baby to deliver but that is part of the practice.

  • He ended up delivering my baby and he was very good. My primary obstetrician and gynecologist was away on a vacation when I delivered. He could not get back because of the snow storm. So, Dr. Ulas Bozdogan ended up delivering and he was very good. He made me feel very comfortable.

  • I had surgery performed by him and I had a couple of follow-ups with him since December.  Nothing has changed about him.  From major surgery, I have three half inch scars and I was healed within two weeks and that was great.  It was awesome that I was healed within two weeks and I was back in the swimming pool swimming my usual laps and that I was fine.

  • Dr. Savita Khosla is very professional.  She cares about her patients.  She is friendly.  She is willing to explain things to me when required.  She checks thoroughly for any possible medical conditions.  I would continue to see her in the future.

  • I've been gong to Dr. Khosla for about 10 yrs, She's not an overly chatty person, which I like, and she is a good doctor - if she finds anything questionable she acts on it, or sends you to the right specialist.

  • Dr. Bozdogan is a complete medical professional in every way. In my initial consult, the doctor and his staff put me at ease, listened to me thoroughly, and left me confident of the choice I was making. Afterwards, his staff was thoroughly attentive and responsive to my inquiries, and insured that every detail of my procedure was properly planned and well understood by all involved. The doctor's surgical skills are top-notch. My healing is going far quicker, and with far less pain than I ever imagined. Finally, I also commend his choice of hospital. Hackensack UMC is the finest medical establishment I've ever seen. Everyone is a complete professional with a wonderful attitude. Unlike most other hospitals, I never felt ignored or neglected. Everything was top quality. If you are a woman considering any kind of "female" surgery, I highly recommend this doctor and this hospital.

  • Dr. Alvarez is one of the best in Bergen County for high risk pregancies. He is the chair of obsetrics at Hackensack University Medical Center. He is a no nonsense doctor but will answer each of your questions. His team is SPECTACULAR! His team of on call doctors are beyond friendly, professional and very smart. They take no chances with the high risk population they treat. The office staff, nurses and ultrasound techs are fabulous, friendly, and put you at ease. (They'll even take a few extra minutes to get a good "shot" of the baby for our album!) The best! I highly recommend! I have had to wait upto a 1.2 hour beyond my appointment time to be seen and this is the only reason they get a B in this category. (But I don't know of ANY doctor that you sometimes don't have to wait for.)

  • She is very nice and very thorough. I have no complaints about her. She is an excellent doctor. The office environment is very nice and friendly. Her punctuality is very good. The staff is very nice. I would use her again in the future.

  • I moved from Brooklyn a while back so this was my first visit to a new GYN in a while. My previous GYN was always running hours late and was very abrupt and in a hurry. Looking back I don't know why I accepted it. Dr. Khosla was running on time. She was brisk and professional, but I did not feel rushed when I asked my questions. I had a sense that she is very competent. Also, the exam was not painful at all. I don't want to get to graphic here, but with my previous GYN there was always some pain involved. The office seems slightly disorganized about billing. I received a bill for a copayment I had already made. When I called up they did tell me I had a zero balance, but I shouldn't have received a bill in that case. The other issue I had is that the assistant encouraged me to do a particular blood test I didn't need. I had to actively refuse. I was given a cholesterol test, the results of which are probably meaningless since I hadn't fasted (was never instructed to or even told I'd be given this test) the night before. Overall I'd say this is a good, professional and caring doctor. Given the state of the American medical system I think this is about the best you're going to get. If you want a doctor who will see you the same week you call, not make you wait more than ten minutes past your appointment time, not send out bills for payments you've already made, and not offer you unnecessary tests, you'll have to move to Europe. In the meantime, I was happy with Dr. Khosla.
