Efficiency accompanied by courtesy and professionalism are rare combinations on today's work world. Rudy provided detailed explanations and personal hands on assistance throughout and was readily available day and night.

    Magnolia Home Remodeling Group
My sister and I are delighted with the results. The house has been literally transformed from decayedand crumbling into a beautiful and noteworthy living space. Chris, in his characteristically earnest manner, had provided many verbal assurances, and I am pleased to say he delivered on every single one of them to the best of my knowledge. He actually backed up his "can-do" sales pitch with the corresponding accomplishments. I'm sad to have to be so excited about someone simply doing what they promised but experience has taught this consumer many painful lessons. My sincerest appreciation to Magnolia Home Remodeling Group.

    Handyman Connection - Bergen County
Marc Rothstein was the carpenter who did the work. He shaped the plain new door I provided, then drilled and fitted it. He installed a lock set and painted the door. Prior to the work, he guided me on what materials to purchase and took my phone call on the weekend to facilitate that. He was very accommodating. I was pleased with the experience and would hire again for future projects. Thank you.

    Venegas General Contractor LLC
When I originally bought my house a couple of years ago, Mr. Venegas's  company did some work on our house. I  thought his company did a nice job.  I recently contacted him again for another job. It was the same experience. His employees were professional, polite and respectful of our house and pets. Mr. Venegas returns my calls. He gives an accurate estimate both for price and timeline. I was very satisfied with the job they did. They made the renovation process simple and painless.

They were 1-1/2 hours late for the initial installation.  The job was done so poorly that I may as well not have had a storm door installed.  The cold air still came through.  I called Home Depot to complain and they contacted Mac Window Systems to correct the problem.  Unfortunately, Mac Window Systems sends the same person who did the initial inferior job to correct the problem..  His fix didn't do a thing to correct the problem.

    Maslyn Door
9/10/11 -  Price was great which included "Complete install of all 3 doors and hardware. Remove all debris."   Maslyn wanted 2/3 of total cost immediately ($2,320) with the balance ($1,000.30) on completion.
10/21/11 -  I emailed Maslyn asking for a status check on delivery & received immediate response that he would check with supplier & (some problems with him receiving my emails)
10/26/11 - received response that doors were in and he would be contacting his installer re install date!  (Doors were for my god-daughter who lived in her own house.
11/18/11 - installer (Roger Wells of Wells Carpentry was sub-contracted by Maslyn) did an absolutely excellent and meticulous  job with the entire installation.  HOWEVER, the door saddle/sweep for the custom door was not provided to Wells Carpentry by Maslyn, so therefore the installation was incomplete, and I did not give Wells Carpentry the balance as he expected and said that I would contact Maslyn for providing Wells with the final hardware so the job would be completed and that I would pay Maslyn the balance at that time.  I sent an email that same day to Maslyn stating that I would like to "speak" to him about my concerns regarding his not providing the door saddle/sweep for the custom door, as the contract stated that hardware was included and I had no reason to believe that all three doors would have their complimentary door saddles/sweeps.
After several attemps to bring this sale to a conclusion, Maslyn finally begged me to drop off the check in a mailbox adjacent to Highway #17 South ffor the balance at his company store location, and he would complete the work.  He griped about having to pay extra for the sweep and that he did not include that in his initial price (which clearly stated that all hardware was included).  Therefore,  I wanted to give Maslyn the "benefit of the doubt" and offered to give him a check for $1,025.30 (+$25) to help off-set whatever additional cost there might be, and he quickly accepted - as long as I delivered the check immediately to his mailbox.
12/5/11 - Maslyn finally sent me an email with the Warrantly information enclosed (No instructions regarding the care of the doors and no warranty information was provided by Maslyn to the installer in order that Wells, the installer, could give it to us after installation was completed.  There was NO information about the doors or their serial numbers so that the security doors could be registered with the manufacturer).  Even so, I had to contact the manufacturer for the complete warranty information for all three doors, because only partial information was provided by Maslyn via his email.
That was the last that I heard from Maslyn!  I tried on numerous occasions to "encourage" him to complete the installation of the remaining doorsweep (important because the outside security door brushes against a cement floor area).  I finally emailed Maslyn stating that I would eventually write this up for Angie's List - he very rudely brushed me off.
To date, the doorsweep has never been installed and we never from Maslyn again.
In retrospect, I should have NEVER given Maslyn the balance of the payment until the 3rd doorsweep was installed - as per the invoice.  He seemed like a "nice" man, but once he had his money, I now don't think he ever intended to have his sub-contractor put in the final doorsweep.
The price of the product was great - almost too good compared to others.  Maslyn initially was easy to deal with and very pleasant (although not so with his daughter who "opened the office in the am" ) and there was no reason not to "trust" his word.  However, I should have known better and stuck with the words in the invoice/contract.

no "C" on Responsiveness, Punctuality, Professionalism (NOT LOWER BECAUSE SUB-CONTRACTOR WAS EXCELLENT)

    "B" on others

"A" on price and quality of doors

Almost Perfect Home Improvements & Remodeling
Jack Bisesi, his nephew and Greg did the work on schedule and were responsive to our requests throughout the job.  Perlot did a fine job with the electrical work.  Jack's installation of the new dropped ceiling yeilded an additional 2 inches in height to the basement.  Since our home is old, nothing is square which added extra challenges to the job.  All issues were taked care of to our satisfaction.

Terrific. I couldn't be happier. He went out to Home Depot for bulbs, varnish and other supplies, the only added expense to the $299 I paid for his services.
