  • We needed a new chimney liner installed for a boiler conversion and we chose A-Plus over other contractors because they were the most responsive. We also contracted them to do some roof maintenance and putting on silvercoating. The crew came on time and they were very professional. They were very thorough and neat with their work. And also very respectful of our house and property. The chimney liner required permit & inspection from our town and everything was handled and coordinated by their office (Nancy). We passed inspection with no issues! Thank you for a job well done. It is refreshing to deal with a well-run company such as yours – from the front-office to the crew on the field. We would definitely recommend your company’s services to our family & friends.

  • Tom made time in his schedule to fix our roof within 24 hours of our phone conversation. We were worried as a big storm was headed our way. He came through and patched up our roof and cleaned the drain.

  • Pond Roofing was wonderful to work with. They were professional, on time, did extremely quality work, and they bent over backwards to make us happy, even when we accidentally ordered the wrong color of hardware for the front door. Both doors had leaks and the new doors completely eliminated the problems. Everything was installed perfectly and sealed extremely well. I would definitely hire them again in a second, and have recommended them on our neighborhood listserve. What a relief to find a great company that provides great service, and are professional and communicative.

  • This is the the only roofing Company over the course of the past 20 years of attempting to stop the leaks in my building who truly knew what
they were doing. I have not had a single drip or drop of water anywhere since completion of this job. And there have been many torrential wind and rain storms, as well as ice and snow over the winter months. I am so satisfied and relieved to finally have my pproperty in a good state. I would highly recommend Alpine to anyone, and use them again on my other properties. I have only the highest things to say about them from the quality of the work , to the workers who came as a team to work on my property. They were on time and polite. And left my property broom clean. All debris and old materials removed by them.
There is nothing more that I could have asked for on this job. I thought the price was fair based on the amount of time and quality materials that
went into the job. It's nice to finally find a company who I can trust, who do quality work . I am confident I found the best Roofer/contractor in Alpine roofing !!!!!

  • The service went well. The crew completed the job in about 1 day. They did a good job and were on time. They followed through and were happy to answer any of your questions. They were would do anything we asked. It did take a while to schedule the service because it was right after hurricane Sandy, but they were good at keeping in touch about the service.

  • Vic, Manny, and their Crew came to our home to repairs years worth of damage and neglect.  Years of other roofers piece mealing repairs and destroying our home.  They stripped all the layers down to the wood and started from scratch.  Adding new sheets of plywood; new wood to slant the roof for drainage, new fasica; new everything...they replaced it all...then they put the new roof on and the new shingles on the lower levels....they replaced missing siding from prior storms and put in new gutters....Plus put a complete new chimney in.
The Crew was AMAZING.  Polite, professional, and all around wonderful.  They worked thru the bad weather (snow) for as long as they could, came back and cleared off everything to really do the job right.
You wouldn't even know we were having work done at the end of the day as the area was completely cleaned...not a speck of debris.
This company and their crew are the BEST!
We are extremely pleased with their work and will definitely be using them in the future for other home projects.

  • When Sandy hit my area it ripped some of my roof and some siding off. During a time like that you find people who try to rip you off. I called 13 companies just to get someone to put a trap over hole in the roof that Sandy left. The company that I THOUGHT was helping me out didn,t do a good job. In all I had to have that section cover 4 times do to the high winds and rain . Which cost each time it had to be cover. So in time like this you hope to find someone that you can trust and hope that they have your best interest at heart. With damage so heavy all around in the state you know companies can pick and chose the customs they wanted to deal with.I started right away looking for a company that I hope I will feel good about. But I was looking for a company that can do the roof, siding and the overhang. After checking out a couple of roofing companies.  A friend had seen a Ad on his PC about George Keller and Sons and said I should check them out. I checked out the site for George Keller and Sons and after looking and listing to the Ad.
I e-mail them on November 9th/2012 and Dan Keller responsed within that day. I explain to him what had happen and what I need have done.I asked him could I e-mail him photos of the roof which I had one of the other roofing company to take the photos. Dan also looked up my house through goggle to see the roof..I cancel out dealing with the other companies I had In mind. But, I join Angie"s List inorder to check out George Keller and Sons because my house was built in the 1800 and I wanted to have it back the way it was before Sandy. I spoke with Dan  and he said they would take the job and ensure me that they have done many flat roofs and that was importance. Because everyone can't do flat roofs right. On January 14,2013 I signed the contract with Dan Keller and give hime a $500.00 down payment. Then problems with the insurance company question the cost, but Dan Keller went toe to toe with them and I got to the figure that I could except. The weather played a major part that why they started on Feburary 28th/13. Ms. Patty , who run the office is outstanding, she kept me inform when they will or will not be coming and I am grateful to her.Mr. Applebee and his crew arrived on time and the only time they took a break was lunchtime. The job was done in one day and this was only pharse one which I didn't know. I had to wait until May 1st until pharse two, the siding and the overhang to be done I understand this due to the weather. But again, thanks to Ms. Patty for keeping me up to date. When the siding crew came and they were on time. The siding they replace  I add extra cases in my basement. But they did a wonderful job, I guest at this time I can say "good things come to those who wait' SOMETIMES. After the work was completed I was hoping that Dan or Mike which I never met would call or if they are in the area to stop by and check out the completed project. So I e-mail Dan , and express my thoughts, do your company do p.r. follow up with homeowner? I hope that you do. You have an outstanding person in Ms.Patty Glassford who is in charge of your office. I like the way she follow up with customer and keep them inform on their appointments. In respect to Dan, he e-mailed me to thank me for choosing his company. And don't hesitate to contact him if I have question or need service. But, I still hoping they will stop by to see my beautiful home they help put back in order. So far with all the rain we have had and still having the roof is holding up.

But, they did a wonderful job in pharse one and in pharse two.

  • June 2013 Update - Since Jan 2013, we noticed leaks again where the roofing material meets a short wall on the roof.  In March, after several failed attempts to schedule an appointment, 2 Go Green roofers visited, surveyed the roof, showed us photos, and added more acrylic gel to the problem areas.  However, we still have leaks.  My husband has tried several times to schedule an appointment, but their office manager claims she either doesn't know Anthony's schedule, and we have to call him directly.  However, he never calls back, even when we do reach him.  I wish we'd had a better experience.  Please think twice before using this company.

    Original Review
We received 3 bids, including 2 from Angie's List.  Of the other two, one was a large company, accustomed to big home remodeling jobs, with a high estimate.  The non-Angie's List contractor was a friend's referral, who answered many questions with "I'll take care of it. Don't worry about it", even when he had no expertise on the matter. We chose Go Green because they treated us with respect, offered a fair price, and use green building materials. Even after choosing them, when we asked their perspective on future improvement projects and in what order to schedule them, John and Anthony provided fair, unbiased advice.
To create the estimate, John came to our house on a Saturday morning, reviewed our roof, and offered a verbal estimate.  Shortly thereafter, Anthony provided a written estimate.  Also, Anthony provided 2 customer referrals, including one fellow who's job started slow, but ended well after Anthony stepped in.  Though Anthony may not have expected this fellow to tell a story w/pros and cons, when I told Anthony, he gave his fair and honest view on how the job went, acknowledged the challenges on his team, and ensured me that the team member who struggled on the project is no longer part of the company.  Further, Anthony impressed me by promising that he or Tony would personally visit the site daily (which was a learning experience from that previous job).
After we selected Go Green, and updated the estimate to include the skylight, it took another 4-6 weeks to schedule a start date, due to rain and waiting for materials.  (Meanwhile, I voluntarily researched the permits needed, and Anthony secured them.)  This was a long time to wait, and I rarely heard from Anthony w/materials or scheduling updates,  which made me nervous.  It would have been nice if his office had kept in touch, because it felt like my responsibility to call them.
Finally, we scheduled the job, and Anthony estimated 3-4 days (we have a small roof ~20x80).  Before starting, Anthony climbed and reviewed the roof again, and suggested passive turrets to keep the attic cool (which was a great idea). His team didn't request access to the house, only to an outside faucet to clean up.  On the first day, my husband stayed home from work and reported that John arrived with the team at 9, then they worked until 3, then cleaned  up and left.  Every day they left everything tidy, and they finished on Day 4, like Anthony estimated.  Afterwards, Anthony said they'd found 1-2 bottles in our roof drain, and removed them for us, which was very considerate.
Since then we've had several storms, and the house is dry.  Also, our new roof reflects up to 80% of heat, so it's much cooler upstairs.  We had a great experience with Go Green and Anthony Barbagallo, and we would recommend them.

  • The estimator was punctual and professional but rushed.
The price seemed high -  I might use ask this firm to quote on another house but this wasn't a good match for the job in question.

  • It went so well that we kept adding to the job!  The shingle cottage contains a nice apartment and a large unfinished storage room; it looked shabby & had damage inside and especially outside.   The NOVA team installed a new gutter, repaired, primed and painted the entire exterior and all the contrasting trim around the odd-shaped rooflines, windows and doors, also rebuilt a water damaged wall and reinforced other walls on the unfinished area,  replaced damaged window sills, and took care of minor interior sheetrock, carpentry and painting jobs.

It's unusual to find this range of skills in one business.  Had I hired a firm to paint and a carpenter separately I'd have spent more and I don't think we'd have finished before the weather got too cold for exterior painting.   Communication was excellent.  The owner emailed estimates, explanations, and photos so I could address changes and challenges without taking too much time off from work.

I don't share cost information - but the was very fair and the money was well spent.. I've gotten many compliments on the 'transformation'.
