TruGreen is, hands-down, the WORST company that I have EVER dealt with. They serviced my lawn for about a year before I fired them, and theres so much wrong with them that I dont even know where to begin. I was having my lawn fertilized by another firm that was actually doing a halfway decent job, though the lawn didnt quite look the way I expected it to. So, I gave TruGreen a shot. Big mistake. The first summer went pretty well (in spite of TruGreen, not because of them), but by the following May, I began having serious lawn problems: numerous widespread dead patches, along with an unreasonable assortment of weeds. When the technician came to fertilize the lawn, what did his service note say? I noticed some areas of your lawn are greening up faster than others. Your lawn should green up more evenly as it warms up. Nonsense. The lawn was fine in early spring, so it wasnt a failure to green up. It was actually greening DOWN! After calling the office to complain, a different technician came out to investigate. What did his service note say? I noticed a disease called Red Thread is active in your lawn. This disease is favored by the current weather conditions and NORMALLY (emphasis added) does not cause permanent damage. Now, let me get this straight: My lawn has a disease that it MIGHT NOT recover from, and despite the fact that treatments are readily available, you did NOTHING to cure it? Wonderful. Thanks for that. One of the technicians other service notes said that if I had any questions, then give him a call. Ok, maybe were finally taking a step in the right direction! But no direct phone number for the technician was provided, and when I called the office and referenced the technician by name, they didnt even know who he was. Its truly pathetic, but this company doesnt even know who its OWN EMPLOYEES are! Several weeks and several complaints later, the lawn was still deteriorating. In addition to Red Thread disease, they also noted the presence of Brown Patch disease, but still did NOTHING to cure it. Incensed, I called the office and told them that Im an inch away from canceling their service, and if they want a snowballs chance in **** of keeping my business, theyd better get someone to my property WHILE IM HOME so we can discuss the problems face-to-face. When the technician arrived, he indicated that the lawn was being attacked by a fungus, and that a fungicide needs to be applied. Ok, now maybe were getting somewhere! When I asked him to schedule an application, he replied, Youll need to call the office and do that yourself. Excuse meWHAT? So now, when a technician notices a problem, its up to ME to call the office and request further treatments? Their OWN EMPLOYEES don't have the authority to order additional service when it's CLEARLY needed? Totally absurd! When you take your car into the shop, has your mechanic ever said, You need a new radiator, but youll have to call the Parts Department and order it?! Totally unprofessional and absurd. Fearing that the treatment would never be done, I called the office and requested the fungicide. Did anyone ever show up to apply it? Nope. Of course not! That was the last straw. I terminated my relationship with them, and received a refund for the remaining balance of treatments. Now, even a marginally competent company would call a departing customer to say, Gee, Mr. Smith, were very sorry to hear that youre leaving. Would you spare a few minutes of your time to tell me why you made that decision, so that we can learn from it and provide better service in the future? Its Business 101, not to mention common courtesy. Did TruGreen do this? Nope. Of course not! But this is the most mismanaged company Ive ever seen, so why should that be a surprise? If you demand a meeting with a technician, then good luck with that. Ask for a firm date and time range for the next service so you can be home to speak to them in-person, and all you get is, Oh, we dont know when theyll be in your neighborhood. Really? So at TruGreen, you wake up on Monday and go to work, NOT KNOWING where youre going to be and what youre going to do that week? Their policy appears to include avoiding direct contact between the technician and the customer. After all, you know how big a pain in the rear end you PESKY CUSTOMERS can be always wasting their employees time with questions and complaints! I gave TruGreen many, many chances to make things right. But they are so unprofessional, so incompetent, and so completely blind to their customers needs that I doubt they could make my lawn look good if they had a truck full of green spray paint! Their incompetence is so gross that it defies belief. Its nearly impossible to be that bad at something. Its almost as if its intentional. They know their service is awful, and they simply dont care. All theyre interested in is taking your money and providing the BARE MINIMUM service, while hoping that youll be too stupid or too oblivious to notice their shoddy service. Then, when your grass is half dead, theyll blame everything and everyone including the LAWN itself except themselves! Its a complete insult to any reasonable persons intelligence. Ive decided to forego all lawn care services, and have taken over the job myself. Yes, TruGreen has soured me THAT much. Ive been purchasing the Scotts products and began following their fertilization schedule. Even with very little experience in this area, my lawn looks better already, and Im confident that I can do a much better job than TruGreen did. So do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY from this miserable excuse for a company.

Roy was very responsive to all our questions during the estimation period. He and his team understood what needed to be done. During the actual installation of pavers, Joe, the foreman, and his team were very diligent. They continued working even if it was raining a little bit. After the installation, I pointed out something that I realized I wanted to change, and they did it with no extra charge to me. The final result is something that we absolutely liked! One improvement that I think would benefit them is to have a better documentation of project details. I had to repeat some details about the project to them; details that we have talked about previously. I got a little concerned they didn't remember our previous conversations. I understand that they must have a lot of clients to juggle. Maybe having an administrative assistant could help them in this area. Overall, it was a great experience hiring them, and I would do so again in future projects.

They came promptly to quote, they were able to get my job done quicker than expected, and the work was done very well and property was left very clean. What else could I ask for? Will definitely be calling them back to do the. Work I couldnt do this time. Very professional company.

Avoid. Used them for spinkler installation previously. Called them for a sprinkler issue this time. I spoke with receptionist Diana, who could not give me an answer to my question and said that the techician Justin is not available either and that he would call me back. I have not heard back for a day, so called back the following morning. This time according to Diana, justin just went into the bathroom and will call me right back. Again, didnt hear back from them. Its a lot easier to get another sprinkler company than to keep calling back. So if you are looking for a responsible sprinker company, look elsewhere, sounds like they are not interested in working and I can only imagine what its like to ask them to guarantee their work if they dont bother calling back potential customers. Hope this helps others avoid bad customer service.

There arent enough words for the amazing work that Wade and his team performed! I cannot believe that I lucked into having such an amazing landscaper. Wade showed up for the first part of the job (dead brush removal from the backyard and sides of the house) in ONE day after our initial phone call. The job he did was amazing - the backyard was wonderfully clear and there was absolutely no overgrown brush on the side of my house. Further, he went above and beyond and cleared everything that was really my neighbors responsibility (the no-mans land in between their garage and my property line). Then came the front yard....no small feat, no small feat at all. The HUGE trees that I loved for the 20 years that Ive been in my house were very ill and needed to be removed. That also left a dire need for a landscaping overhaul of the front yard. Wade accommodated the emotional distress the removal of these trees caused me and checked in with me every step of the way. Then, with every ounce of encouragement he had available, we worked on a vision I had for the front yard. I worked with a local nursery and presented Wade with my sketches. He offered a lot of input and together we designed them most beautiful front yard my neighborhood has seen. Truly -my house is now the most beautiful landscaped and designed front yard on the block (dare I say in a 20 block radius). All of this was done in only TWO WEEKS. The change was amazing. I have attached before and after pictures of the front yard. I still drive up to my house in wonder and appreciation. I never once had to chase Wade to determine if he was coming by, if there was a change in any start date, or if there was a reason for any delay. He was the consummate professional, and thoroughly proactive with his outreach. I cant wait for us to get to the backyard next year!

It has been great and have had no problems with the system on 3 years now. Every year I call him in the winter and the fall for the maintenance and he is always prompt and quick. Never tries to sell me anything either like replacement heads. Great service, always prompt and reasonable. He is such a pleasure to deal with.

He's good, he's here every month.

I would recommend him and I would use him again.

He's very reliable and very descent guy.

Recommend him to whoever can basically use his services, he's a one man operation so obviously he's not going to be able to service like huge huge numbers of customers like a big operation but for who the people he takes care of he's fine.

Christian was very professional, set a time/date and crew was punctual. Crew worked hard for several hours. Thorough cleanup and even removed excess debris which I did not expect, leaving the whole area cleaner than it was. Excellent job. I would HIGHLY recommend them.

Excellent. Eric was great to work with. Did a full site evaluation and made recommendations to better configure our existing sprinkler system to be more efficient. Zones were reworked, and new heads were added down the line to maximize watering. Outdoor lighting was updated to LED. Would definitely recommend Eric for irrigation needs.

As a landscape architect with commercial project experience, I was very particular in choosing the right person to work on the outdoor space around my house. Initially it started with a complete weed infested back lawn that needed immediate help. I came across Almost Perfect Landscaping from Angie's list and decided to give it a try based on their great reviews. When I first met Frank Porter the owner of Almost Perfect Landscaping at our initial meeting to discuss work for my back yard, he seemed very knowledgeable about his plants as well as very helpful in figuring out what's the best approach to making my back yard not only more pleasant to look at, but more functional and enjoyable. The work started smoothly with the process of site material removal. After some initial wood work installation was done, I realized that some parts were not complete to my expectations. I discussed my concerns with Frank and he was very accommodating and told me he would get it fixed right away. He and his crew made sure that I was satisfied with the final result. Frank and I will definitely be working more together in the future. I would highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for not just a typical landscaper but someone who is very knowledgeable, and can provide high quality work for their outdoor space. He not only listens to your concerns and wants, but is also dependable and flexible. Frank is there to help your outdoor space reach its full potential and beyond.
