Robert from Driveway Contractor was a pleasure to work with. He helped from the beginning of the project in laying out the new patio, grill and firepit so that they best fit our backyard. He installed everything beautifully and on time.

I called Approved Chimney and asked for an estimate for the work. Vick stopped by the very next day as promised to take a look at the job. He was punctual, professional, very knowledgable and a pleasure to deal with. He provided me with a detailed proposal on the spot and was able to accommodate my need for "speedy service" (the conversion project could not move forward until the liner was in place). Everyone from the office staff to the team of workers was a pleasure to work with. Services were provided exactly as promised! I would definitely work with Vick again and will refer him every opportunity I have.

If I had to use one word to describe Sean and Martin, it would be "craftsmen".  Unlike other people who have bid for my masonry business, they are not supervisors who hire semi-skilled individuals to do the manual work and then give them instructions as to how to proceed.  They are young and energetic, they do the work themselves, and they know what they are doing.

Sean and Martin are craftsmen who do the work themselves.  My home is over 70 years old.  Its brick cannot be replaced with an exact match.  I can see a number of patches with the wrong brick on my neighbor's house.  Mismatched brick shows.  My job was not simple - replacing the brick under a window that had buckled out due to corroded metal under them.  Every other vendor, when asked, said either "we don't do that" or cautioned that they might break some of the bricks in removing them, and that, if bricks were broken they would match the bricks "as best they could".  From experience, I knew the bricks could not be matched since that type of brick is no longer made.  Sean's reaction was straightforward:  No problem, we won't break any bricks.  And he didn't.  His work is careful and professional.  He knows his craft.  The cement he used to put the bricks back was colored to match the cement used on the old bricks.  Not a minor point.  At my neighbor's house, workmen were less careful.  Repairs stand out because even if the brick was a close match, the cement was not.

Sean learned the craft of masonry at his father's knee, so to speak, and he knows what he is doing.  He and his team work clean and to date have always been entirely reliable.

Because they do the work themselves, and do it right the first time, their prices have been reasonable.  They certainly don't give away their services, but there aren't two layers of people to pay - the "boss" who prices the work and the workers who actually do the job.  Of course, that doesn't mean that jobs don't need to be bod with more than one vendor.  Any vendor can give an "off" bid for a particular job.

Thus far, I have used J M A Masonry on three jobs and have been pleased each time.  An older house is in constant need of updating, and I plan to use them again in the future.

Tom Cioppio came to look at the job and provided an estimate right away.  As soon as weather permitted Tom made the repairs. He called a couple of times to check in and let us know that due to the rainy weather, he could not do the work because the concrete would not set up properly in wet weather.   Within a few days after the weather forecast, said that there would not be rain, he scheduled a day to do the repairs.  He replaced the broken blue stone slab.  In addition, he removed cracking concrete and reset unbroken blue stop pieces.  I would definitely use this company in the future.

I had stairs on my front steps. I had railings put in they cracked the stone where the posts went in to hold the railings. No one would come out and fix. He agreed and gave a plan to fix it to me. He cut the stone in half and didn't have to take the rails off to fix it. The reason it cracked was the shape of the post (square not round). He tried to fix it with filler, yet the filler expanded and not held. He came back out for a second time to repaired it successfully.

I hate writing a poor review but unfortunately I have to do so concerning this contractor. I saw their ad in the Angie's List magazine so I called on Monday, July 13, 2015. Someone answered the phone, unprofessionally by the way, simply saying "Yeah?" So I asked if this was Oxford Masonry and he said that it was. I asked if I could get a price quote to do pointing on my front stairs and redo the asphalt driveway. The person on the phone took my information and said that he would have someone call me back with a time and day when someone can come by the house for an estimate. By Wednesday, July 15, 2015 no one called so I left two messages that day. I then called again on Thursday, July 16, 2015. Finally I left a message on Friday and said that I received their information from Angie's List and am very disappointed that no one calls back. I have never received from this contractor. I would not recommend them at all. I'm surprised that there are such excellent comments about this contractor.

Everything went great.  Antonio's guys are excellent workers, they are professional, polite and know what they're doing.  Antonio takes complete ownership of his work.  We asked for a couple of things to be re-done, there were no arguments about it.  Antonio takes customer service seriously, he does everything he can to make sure his customers are happy.  The quality of the overall work was excellent, we are thrilled with the way the house looks.
This is the fourth time I've used Antonio.  I will definitely use him again in the future.

After having roofers and other masons (at great expense) try to plug a leak that was coming into one kitchen wall unsuccessfully, Elio managed to figure out where it was coming from and patched it up.
He's experienced and knows what he's doing.
He'll be replacing all my stucco in the spring.

I used them as they offered some discount through Angie's list.
The Mason was very professional, working in the industry all his life.
He did a good job over all, however, just to make sure that you clearly communicate with him into details describing exactly what you want. Also, he did not tell initially that he would be grinding the concretes which would generate a lot of cement dust, so that I could not properly seal my doors in time. In that sense, he was not the kindest person that I ever met.

We are extremely satisfied with the quality of work, the time in which the work was done, and the expertise and professionalism of owner John McGowan and his crew. The cost of the job was very reasonable, considering the work that needed to be done. The
old walkway was breaking up and becoming dangerous to walk on, Johns crew had to break up 3 layers of old concrete and they worked very hard to accomplish this in one day. The forms were put in same day making it ready for concrete pouring the next day. The crew was always on time, worked hard and kept everything moving, John was on site both days working with his crew. He adjusted the walkway to be flush with the patio, which it wasnt originally, and he also took the extra step to very slightly angle the walk so water would move away from the house. This was a plus since we always get a little water in the basement. John also filled in all openings around the outside of the walk when it was completed with dirt so the walk was level with the lawn around it. The job was completed on time and everything was cleaned up well. Everything went smoothly, even the weather cooperated! I would definitely recommend Johns company if you need any concrete work done and we will use his company again for any future work we need done.
