  • Mr. Canon A letter of thank you to your and your company for the outstanding jobs everyone did in our home. The basement, the kitchen, 2 bathrooms, living room, our 4 bedrooms and new roof. We love our house a lot, also our new family and bedrooms. We really like the basement which we can use again. If you could take the time to thank everyone involved for the hard work for us personally that went into the job done. We appreciate everyone for taking the time to answer our questions and responding to our concerns. Also responding quickly to fix and problems after the jobs were completed. It has been a pleasant experience to have a client and contractor working relationship, that made it easy for the planning stages on the job site. My husband and I would like to take this opportunity to say and wish your company the best luck ever getting new families happy with their own house. You may use us as a reference for all the jobs done. If any future clients wants to see the finished work first in person, we request they make an appointment with you to come in person to answer their questions. Thank you for everything and the great service by everyone. Sincerely, Paola Zapata

  • They did a great job, were reliable, and showed up on time. The quality of the work and materials were top notch. I simply can't overstate how great it was. I would highly recommend them for any home improvement job.

  • Platinum Carpentry oversaw a troubled basement renovation and a second floor kitchen and bath full renovation.  The property was an older property  and had complicated electrical,  plumbing, and "black construction" issues.  Everything had to be done to municipal code specifications,  All the work passed inspections with no problems.  All the work was done timely, professionally and appears durable.  The detail and finishes were outstanding.  The pricing was fair and reasonable.  I have no reservation in recommending Platinum Carpentry as an outstanding general contractor firm and will be contracting them in the future for other home and commercial renovation projects.

  • Mr. Leto is professional courteous and responsive as are his workers.
the project was done on time and the site was left clean.
couldn't ask for a better experience and I recommend his services with complete  confidence> I will use him in the future.

  • Franco really knows his stuff, and is very personable. He is somewhat disorganized, and we had a false start when he showed up at the wrong address in the wrong town, rather than at our house. By the time he arrived it was hours after the scheduled start so we had to pick another date. But that was forgotten quickly on date of service, as Franco and his team did an awesome job. Very nice and neat work, our home and belongings were well-protected, and cleanup was thorough. Bottom line: There are a lot of companies out there who will try to sell you a major basement system that you don't need, or that won't solve your exact problem. Franco talked us through all the details and variables, and he recommended we try the easy and less expensive solution first. We are very hopeful it will solve the problem, but if not we will not hesitate to hire Effective Basement Solutions again.

  • It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. I was pretty horrified because the whole deal was pretty bogus. I ended up paying for an estimate. Once he was here, he didn't do anything or produce anything. There was supposed to be a report. What he said made perfect sense but he was pitching his services. Toward the end I thought it was kind of weird and I wanted to get him out of the house so I could think about it. I ended up calling him back and telling him that I didn't get any type of report and basically what I got was an estimate. He was certainly thorough in explaining what I would be getting if I purchased the multi thousand dollar system but I didn't think that was what I was paying for with the coupon. I thought I would get more of an overview. He said that I was quite right. I asked if I would have had to have paid for the estimate if I had found him through another avenue and he said that I wouldn't have had to pay for the estimate. He said that if I used his services, he would take the $55 off and if I didn't use his services, he would refund the $55. I didn't want to pursue him on that because that wasn't really the point. The offer was bogus. They did end up sending me something very rudimentary that said check if the outside had problems and he never even checked the outside of the house. After the fact when I asked where my report was, they produced this standard document and just put some check marks on it. It was a bogus offer. It was just an estimate and I shouldn't have to pay for an estimate. I am not happy. There was anything wrong with his work but I should have gotten something more than a checklist. I didn't appreciate them just trying to get a way to get a pitch. He admitted that I was paying for something that I didn't need to pay for.

  • Once Joseph explained the concept, he presented plans to my husband and I for approval.  We would finally have an entrance to our basement on the inside and outside of our home that was not a hazard or an eyesore in the middle of our family room!  He was the only builder to present this concept to us.  He handled the town and permit process which was great for us.  As soon as he got approval, his crew was in our yard digging the foundation for our new stairs and addition.  Joseph's builders worked extremely hard and built a carefully constructed foundation.  As the building continued, Joseph consulted with us on everything.  Roof shingles, stucco color and was happy to install tile for us on the basement stairs.  This was a stress-free experience for my husband and I.  We fully trusted Joseph's judgement and expertise when it came to our home improvement project.  The finished product is better than we could have hoped for.  My husband and I feel that this project was well worth the money and added value to our home.  As I said, we are looking forward to having Joseph work on our home in the near future.

  • We are in the beginning stages of our project with Finest Home Designs,
but we couldn't be happier with the progress we have made so far.  I
called Finest Home Designs for help with a complicated problem in our
home.  Our basement stairs cut our kitchen and family room in half.  The
family room was added onto the house and built around the basement
stairs.  There is no door and the stairs are a danger for our small
child.  After calling several contractors, we were so disappointed.  No
one had a solution for our basement stair issue.  Joseph of Finest Home
Designs was the first person to have a concept for the space and a
solution for redesigning our basement stairs.  Joseph had the suggestion
to build a small addition onto the house and a new set of basement
stairs. Our new addition will have siding and stucco to match our house, have electrical installed, painted inside and storage space.  We will have a new entrance to our home.  He is going to remove and cover the current basement stairs
creating an open space between our kitchen and family room.  He also has
several other suggestions to maximize a lot of wasted and underutilized
    space in our home.

  • The salesman was very nice. He came on time. It was a professional company. The only thing which I didn’t like at all was that they had to give an estimate in person and I haven’t got an estimate yet. I would consider using them in the future.

  • We were approved for a 203k FHA loan (Restoration Loan) through Wells Fargo and had to hire a contractor to do the work. We did our research and decided to use a reputable company like Home Depot to do the job. This was the worst mistake ever. They sub-contracted this job to a company called MAC Window Systems, LLC in Fairfield, NJ. A 45K job Gone completely Wrong.....This Company's business is horrible!!!!! They started work and did not finish. They lied and cheated us out of money. They made broken promises. They were not at all punctual. They did a sloppy job on the work that was done. We still do not have a functioning kitchen since December and have to spend extra money on fast food. Did I mention that they were LIARS!! WATCH OUT OR RICH GIBBS!!!!! He is a horrible owner, employee, worker and businessman, if that's what he really is. It's is very sad that he actually has a career. He may know how to hammer a DUMB nail, but running a business and customer satisfaction is far from his intellect. He gives this company a Very Bad Name. Home Depot needs to cancel the agreement they have with these guys!! I WILL NEVER USE EITHER OF THEM AGAIN!!! WATCH OUT FOR RICH GIBBS, he's a liar and a cheat!!! RUN when you see them...Trust me!!! Someone, please put this company out of business!!! If you won't I will...I will also make sure the everyone hears about this Mistake of a company; BBB, Facebook, Angie's List, FOX 5, MY 9 ect...Stay Tuned!! Justice Must Be Served!!!
