They were great, called them for broken heating pipe but they checked everything. I feel they were very honest with me, gave me my options and let me decide what to have done with no pressure from them.

This company is horrible, they were hire to install 2 central heating/AC units at my 2 family house. The number one mistake i made was giving half the payment up front. In the first 3 week (6 total days of work) they only manage to set up the duct work incorrectly in the basement ( they were going to use flex duct 80% their duct work, no inspector would past that) they never finish the 1 st floor apartment and couldn't even get started on the second floor apartment. They had 2 helpers coming in every 3 days that smoked weed half the time in the van outside and moving slow cutting corner most of the time. They would come in for 3-4 hours if lucky and during those 3 weeks this company has cause my water meter to leak, my pipe to freeze, gas leak while they try to connect the HVAC unit and my basement to flood. I was constantly contacting the owner and he kept making false promises and never deliver. I lost or should i say got scam $4600 and did I mention i purchase the units from my pocket and they only needed to install the duct. Anyways I hire another guy that got the job done in 5 days, I really hope this reviews help others to NEVER give any money upfront and always have a contract, my lost would be your gain of knowledge from this horrible company. In the pictures you will see the vent pipe having no angle flow, thier flex duct materials, the ductwork not connected and the damage they cause on one of the units by trying to install some ductwork and leak water meter they had cause by not having any heat for 3 weeks.

I contacted the company because my furnace was not operating properly.  It would consistently shut off when it was supposed to be running. I spoke to someone and I had an appointment scheduled for the next morning.  The technician arrived during the schedule appointment time and was able to fixed my issue immediately.  He worked fast and efficiently and was also very knowledgeable and able to explain to me why I was having the issue.

If Angie's list included an A+ rating, I would use that!
Okay, so this wasn't a "major" service call or anything, but the simplicity and responsiveness and focus on customer service is what puts this over the top! Just like one might only hope to find a car mechanic that won't jerk them around with jargon or make unnecessary repairs I felt that Carmine was totally above board. - So, the details - This is a rental property in Elizabeth, NJ. Yesterday, I had the furnace serviced because it wouldn't start up. I used Angie's List to find another vendor who promptly came out and completed the repair. All good. Except, today, the tenant calls to say there was no hot water. He went downstairs, saw that the pilot light was out and couldn't light it back up. Being that I live out of town, I needed help. The tenant has a 1 year old in the apartment so the fix couldn't wait. I turned to my trusty Angie's List and found Carmine. When I called, Carmine answered and said he could have someone there in the early afternoon (in fact, it was probably no more than 90 minutes after our initial call). And so it went - Danny showed up on time, gave me a call and went to work. Carmine later called to tell me that it appeared the gas line had been shut off (to the water heater)! - Did the furnace repair guy do that? Did the tenant do it by accident while troubleshooting? I may never know. But I do know that it made sense and Carmine provided a straightforward answer when he could have made any number of claims or said parts needed replacing, etc. Nope! Not here! THANK YOU, Carmine for your honesty and great customer service! You can be sure to get my business in the future!!!

I have a rental property in Elizabeth, NJ. My tenant called to say there was no heat. My brother stopped by, tried troubleshooting. The furnace was installed less than 2 years ago. We tried contacting the original provider (that installed the unit) but they were unresponsive. Since the tenant has a small child, we couldn't wait. I turned to the trusty Angie's List and I selected this provider because of the A ratings.
The phone service was excellent and professional. They told me they could have someone on site that day, between the hours of 3-7 pm. This was a very rainy evening, but the technician managed to get there just before 7 pm. Ok. Punctual. The technician explained to me that the electronic ignition has a few wires to get it started and one of those was very loose. He also said the unit seemed to have too much water (that, I put on my brother's troubleshooting). Well, okay, so, tighten the connection and, bang, we're up and running. He went on to stress the importance of having a maintenance contract - while it was a valid up-sell, the house is in the process of being sold, so I did not want to commit to that expense at this time. So, then, the charges: $137 for the diagnostics (I see Angie's list has a buy it now button for $119, but I failed to take advantage of that). Then, there was a charge of $112 for (I'm sorry, I forgot why, exactly). Naturally, I was relieved that the matter had been resolved, though, I thought the cost was a bit steep for tightening a wire. Then again, I know that what we're really paying for is "knowledge". I had told the phone representative that I had been referred to them by Angie's List. It might have been nice if they said, oh, we have a special price for those customers, etc... - So, the thing that leads me to a less-than-A rating is: This morning, I get a call from the tenant telling me that there is no hot water! Granted, today's service call was only for the furnace. Still, the water heater is right next to it, so I called the company (and technician), to see if there could be any relation/connection? Naturally, the technician denied any connection because he only worked on the furnace. He did not touch the water heater. I sensed it was a defensive posture so I did not press on. I found another provider on Angie's List who came by today and found that the gas line running to the water heater had been turned off.  Mind you, it's all very circumstantial and coincidental, but the water heater was absolutely fine until the furnace work was done. Also, the technician could have said "no, I didn't work on the water heater but, since I was there yesterday, would you like me to stop by and take a look?" etc.  - Anyway, I'm just left feeling like everything wasn't above board. Maybe it's coincidental. - Bottom line is, they were professional, they showed up on time and they resolved the problem. Were there opportunities to go a bit above and beyond? Yes. Did they seize them? Not in my opinion. Should you use this provider? Yeah, probably. There was not a "Maybe" button in this review or I would have selected that.

Mr. Shia scheduled an appointment with me right away (same day). He was very punctual and called me before be got to my home. When he got to my home he found the problem within a minute and fixed it in five.  The whole thing took less than 10 minutes.  He was great.  Very knowledgeable and very professional.  I highly recommend this person.  I am a new home owner and a female so I'm lost like 200 percent of the time and I'm for sure an easy target for people trying to over charge me.  This is why I am writing this because people like Mr. Shia are honest.  Thanks
