Eyeglass Repair reviews in Edison

The staff is courteous and willing to help however their pricing for the exam and frames they offer is very high even after using insurance. Also their variety of frames available is very few and far between. You most likely will have to come back another time when they get a new shipment of frames to pick a "decent" frame that would be suitable to you.
The pricing ranges for a complete pair of glasses is astronomical at over $350-$450. Insurance will only knock off $100-$150 from the price they charge. Unfortunately I found out about the pricing of the frames after I had my exam done with them since they processed the payment through my insurance and came back with their final price after they had processed a claim from my insurance.
They offer different pairs for people with insurance and different pairs for people who pay cash for their services which I think seems very unfair since the non-insurance frames are cheaper and of better quality. Again, I did not know until after they had processed their paperwork through my insurance carrier that I was limited in the frames assortment to only a small fraction of what they offered. They did not communicate that with me beforehand, otherwise I would have done my eye exam somewhere else.
Next time, I will do my exam at Costco Optical since the pricing is much more transparent and the selection is much larger. Eye Works' service overall is good but be forewarned, you'll pay through the teeth for it.

I needed new eye glasses so I went to Eyeworks in Edison, NJ (Route 1 South). I was given a quote for $170 for the eyeglasses and the second pair is free. I ordered the glasses on Monday and I was told they would be ready on Tuesday. On WEDNESDAY afternoon, I received a message stating that my glasses were not ready and that they made a mistake regarding the price of the glasses. I called and Jackie stated she had made a mistake and the glasses would be $340. I argued that she quoted me a lower price and has made me wait longer than promised and she should honor the price quote. I asked to speak to a manager and she said there was no manager. I asked the speak to the doctor and she told me the doctor doesn't take calls. When I picked up the glasses Thursday, a lens fell out of the frame as I was trying them on and the frames were bent. I asked them to repair it and they said I can do it myself. After much hassle, they honored the original quote, but I will not go back.

I wouldn't say they are great but they are fine. They take care of my needs. I would recommend them.
