  • I contacted Jack about the job. I sent him pictures of the house's interior and a detailed list of what needed to be removed and what should stay. After the initial contact, I found I had to keep following up with him as I got no call backs. He may eventually have called me but I wanted to determine quickly if I was going to hire him. He gave me an initial estimate based on the photographs but he had not reviewed my detailed list. After he had, he increased the estimate by 50%. He told me he would honor a 10% discount coupon. After we agreed on a date and time, I put him in contact with my real estate agent as he agreed to let Jack in. The day before he was to do the job, he called me to say the truck he planned to use for the job broke down in Miami and was waiting for a tow. He only has one of these big trucks but thought the truck would still be available the next day but in the afternoon instead of the morning I told him that was okay but I wouldn't home for a couple hours. He contacted me again to say the truck needed more work than originally thought but thought he could do the job with his 2 smaller trucks but it would take longer. I agreed to this. He called me the next day at 12:30 pm to go over everything in the house before he started work. It turned out the job was a little bigger than he thought but kept the price the same as quoted. He finished the job in 2 1/2 to 3 hours. My real estate agent confirmed the house was properly emptied and that Jack swept it out. I paid by credit card over the phone. Jack subsequently sent me a receipt at my request. I would recommend Jack with the caveat that if you have a big job, you may want an in home estimate instead of using photos and a list. • All things went great. From the initial phone call where Dawn was very courteous and professional. I described the items to be removed and 30 minutes later Jennifer, the owner,  called back with a price which was reasonable. After the job was scheduled, I added and subtracted some items. In each case, Dawn and Jennifer provided me with a timely price update.

On the day of the job, Ivan and his team (Albert, Jim, Jack and Bobbie) arrived on time to remove items described some of which were very heavy. The whole team worked very hard and were very courteous and professional throughout the whole time.

I would use this company again as well as recommend them highly

  • Consider It Done was due to arrive at my house at 7:00 a.m. and at 6:58 my doorbell rang and Jeff arrived. He immediately went to the attic and took pictures of what was to be removed. He worked alone for about 45 minutes (two others were to arrive after finishing another job close by) and removed quite a bit by himself. After his 2 co-workers arrived the job was completed in no time. The entire job was completely finished at 8:45; can you believe that? My attic is the length of my house and there was much more and quot;stuffand quot; than we originally thought so the estimate originally given was increased and understandably so.
I cannot say enough about this company, they are professional from start to finish; punctual and pleasant. My attic floor is the ceiling below and cannot really support a person walking on it; Jeff took great care to stay on the beams; he was the coordinator of the three men and handed down the things in the attic as well as helping put things in the truck.
I would highly recommend Consider It Done.

  • they arrived on time, did the job, were very responsive and easy to deal with.  Overall they did an excellent job.  The price seemed to be a little high but not too high.  It was a lot better than trying to do it myself

  • Took them 3 hours to show up to tow my car and then they refused to take my car anywhere other than their own service center on Plainfield Avenue in Edison, NJ. So I had my car towed to their service center which looks like nothing more than a parking lot with a shack in the middle of it.
They asked me to pay my towing bill in their shack / shop and I was almost floored to discover that they wanted to charge $500 for a 3.5 mile car tow. They claim that their use of a large flatbed truck and that gas costs more. Over the phone they had quoted only $125 for the tow service because it was only 3.5 miles.
So now I had to pay 4 times more because of their dishonesty and had no way to get my car to its original destination which was my own auto repair shop. I had to call another tow truck company that had to tow from DeFalco's to the new location. That other tow truck company did the tow for $75.
One of the worst service experiences I ever had was dealing with DeFalco's and their dishonesty. My insurance & credit card company are both fighting them for their dishonest estimate and overcharging. Whatever you do, stay away from Mike DeFalco & Bill DeFalco at DeFalco's. If you insist on using their services, make sure to protect yourself & fight them on their dishonest charges by paying with a credit card if you were unfortunate to have had the same dishonest service experience as I had.

  • They did a fantastic job. Chris Dance said he would be here at 8. They were here setting up at 7:50 and began work promptly at 8. All finished and raked up by 10:45. They even pulled most of the weeds that had been growing through the blocks. I am so pleased with their work. The price was very reasonable. I will definitely use them in the future and will refer to my family and friends.

  • They showed up on time and honored a 10% off coupon. They were only slightly cheaper than 1800 JUNK. They did go get some items that were in the old shed which was very nice of them. They were fairly careful removing items so overall I was satisfied.

  • I called them up today to make an appointment to pick up some stuff. They told me that unfortunately my zip code was out of their service area. They were very polite and they were very nice about it. I was just a little disappointed I couldn't get it done.

  • The only thing that I felt was that I was overpriced and that was why I did not use them anymore. However, they came when they said they would come and they worked. They seemed really expensive. I did not get to go and see the price upfront so I was kind of shocked. I had them stop halfway so was wondering would they charge me for half way; I thought it was going to cost the whole attic to be cleaned. They were here for a couple of hours so I was wondering what they thought they were worth. The price was high. They called back and followed up. I could never use them anymore because I could not afford it. Therefore, I did it myself and had a girlfriend help me because it was a two-person job. When I am up in the attic, I had to hand things down but I just could not give what they want. They were fine, I felt comfortable with them getting in the house. My dad had used them before. We had a really heavy old refrigerator and they did a great job getting it out. They had to call somebody extra to get it. They were fine. I thought they were old couple taking advantage, when I did not have a man there. They did fine work but I just thought they over charged. They are expensive and I would not use their services again.

  • I scheduled a pickup online for the next day and received an immediate confirmation of the 2-hour job window. I received a call the next day with a more precise arrival time. The worker arrived on time and was pleasant and efficient. I had already received a quote from another company (which brags about its low prices) for $175 (their minimum) to remove a twin mattress. 1-800-got-junk removed the mattress and a few other small items for their single-item twin-mattress price of $99.
