Septic Tank Cleaning reviews in Dover

    Excavating NJ, Inc.
The cost ended up being $3,000 more than initial estimate, that is about 20% more. The communication during the works was poor and the owner was difficult to find by phone or email. I had to call/email several times in order to get responses. However, the office staff was quickly available when it came to soliciting and receiving payments. When I asked to explain to me what the problem was and why this work needed to be done, the contractor sent me a 15-page study on "Why groundwater levels change" full of hydrographs of observation wells and technical terms which was not readily understandable. He told me to read that. Unfortunately at that point, pressed by the urgency of the flooding, I had already signed the contract and had to go with it. I did not get a copy of the township permits, approvals and engineer approval from the contractor for my records. I received several emails from my property management agency lamenting that equipment had been left in the yard during week-ends, that my tenants were furious about the feedback or lack of it that they were getting from the contractor about what was going on and what to expect and for how long. Meanwhile, the contractor was calling me complaining about my tenants' whining attitude. In the end, the field was closed up but the driveway to the yard was damaged during the work. When I asked for a receipt of the total I got the following message: "You have the agreement and the change order along with the amounts charged on your CC. If you need everything on one receipt than I would have to requested from the accountant and he charges $125/hr, I just don't have access to that information." When I asked for at least an email of acknowledgment for the total amount I could keep for record and tax purposes, my e-mail was not returned and I have not heard from them since.

    Eco Logic Environmental Testing Inc
Ecologic inspected the septic system for us prior to purchasing a home in July of 2013. The system passed with no issues highlighted. Approximately 18 months later we had to list the home due to a corporate relocation and our buyer coincidentally used Ecologic. The reports we're highly disparate, several serious issues were highlighted, requiring action and repair with costs of approximately 2000.00. We consulted two licensed Septic contractors, neither of which could support that the issues highlighted could have occured in the time between inspections. Despite this the inspection report required action in order to sell the home. The rear yard was excavated, and the issues highlighted in Ecologic's report were not confirmed by the septic contractor or township inspector. I challenged Ecologic for at least an explanation for the inconsistencies in reports and their response was to stand by both reports.

    Careaga Engineering Inc
We had a very positive experience with Jeff Careaga. As home buyers, we had two septic inspections, both of which failed. We requested, and received, a credit of $20K from the Seller for a new septic. Jeff took soil logs (soil samples) in expectation of planning and installing a new septic. Then he viewed the septic and told us, "this septic is older, but it is fine." Jeff demonstrated high integrity, as he easily could have made thousands by installing a new septic. But he saved us money by telling us the truth. We went ahead and got the soil logs done so that will be completed if/when a new septic is required.

    B Horstmann Septic Service LLC
This provider answered the phone every time I called. They were nice and professional. They not only pumped our septic tank they CLEANED it for the same price. First they pumped the liquids out then they put a little water back in and mixed it around so they could get the solids out. Most providers will simply pump the water and leave. Use these guys

    A A SEWER & SEPTIC INC
I've used A A Septic for many years, and can't say enough positive things about the owner, Moe Coffee. He's a professional, and
exceptionally knowledgeable. He's also creative, and looks for simple solutions instead of immediately excavating the entire system.
On this visit, I had some concerns that the septic might be starting to back up. Moe showed up on time, checked out the system to make sure it was operating correctly, and then set up an appointment to come back and have the holding tank pumped out. All the work was performed promptly and professionally.
In the past I had a problem with the main sewer line from my house out to the holding tank. The line was clogging repeatedly, and the cycle time between clean outs went from just over a year to about 3 months. At that point, Moe figured out that the line
appeared to be clogged right at the collar where the line entered the settling tank. Instead of digging up the entire line and tank, Moe dug up the collar and repaired the section of pipe which had collapsed. Instead of tearing out my front walk and my entire yard, I only lost one shrub and had to repair a small section of walkway.
On a previous visit, when another contractor wanted to tear up my entire leach field, Moe correctly diagnosed the problem as a clogged line from the settling tank to the leach tank. He snaked it and had me back in business for $500.

    Beachstone Septic Corp
Beechstone was great. They performed their work quickly, but in a thorough manner. Afterwards, they gave us a report, but most importantly as we were 1st home buyers, they gave us very informative tips & tricks to sufficiently maintain our system and keep it in top-notch condition. Says alot for their business philosophy as they truly seemed to put customer interests first.

POLO & ASSOCIATES HOME INSPECTIONS LLC
Dave Polo has a great online scheduling system, that makes it very easy for see his availabilty and his prices. The price above included a septic tank inspection by BeachStone Septic Corporation that Dave engaged and who were also very professional, very through and a great source of information. Dave was very thorough, we began on the roof and then worked ourselves around the outside of the house. We took notes as he mentioned things and he used his handy recorder to help him with his notes to put into the report. Our house has 3000 sq. ft and I feel confident that he covered much of that area. He was very thorough - looking high and looking low, pointing out the good, the bad and the things for us to improve the condition of the house. His report was about 8-9 pages and very detailed. It was a great source to go back to the sellers and asked for the significant things to be addressed or help us with some $$$.

    Peach Brothers Septic Contractors
A few years ago we discovered blockage and leaking from our sewer main, just before Thanksgiving. When a Roto Rooter treatment didn't solve the problem, we called Peach Brothers. They came out promptly and quickly discovered the actual cause of the problem, which was the broken pipe. The next day they sent someone to the house with the necessary excavating equipment who dug out the pipe and repaired it -- all on extremely short notice right before the holiday. They saved our Thanksgiving. As a result of this positive experience, we switched to them for our regular tank pumping service and have been using them ever since.
