Hvac Repair reviews in Dover

I HOPE THIS REVIEW WILL STOP ANYONE ELSE FROM MAKING SAME MISTAKE MANY OF US HAVE ALREADY!!! READ ON, McDUFF: AJ PERRI - Burn your house down before using these guys!!!! Probably cheaper than the quote they will give you for a doorknob. Also look at YELP for other NIGHTMARES people have experienced with them. THIS IS MINE: CAVEAT EMPTOR HERE DEFINITELY "LET THE BUYER BEWARE" - ONLY WISH I HAD READ YELP FIRST. I'VE NEVER SEEN A COMPANY THAT IS STILL IN BUSINESS W/SO MANY BAD REVIEWS, OVERPRICING, BAD SERVICE/REPAIRS, LEAVING RESIDENCE IN DANGEROUS CONDITION WHEN NOT WORKING BUTALSO NOT SHUTTING OFF FURNACE. EVERYONE HERE WAS QUITE ILL. do not even think of using!!! overpriced, tells you they must sell you filters for $375 (when only $5/pc. at home depot)!! then gae estimate for $549 to install correct part, which i ordered and installed myself for $78!!! when the repairman arrived explained to him exactly what part i needed; he told me that i had to have the filters cleaned, which would be $375!! (filters are $5/pc for four). explained i only needed furnace to operate for 1 more winter, but he said he had to do filters b4 anything else. after completing,he said it wasn't filters (which i had already told him) so that he'd cut price in half to $180. then told me that it was the exact part i told him it was. gave me an estimate of $549 to repair. looked on line for the part and it only cost $79 for the part!!!. i ordered, read manual, and installed it myself! also, when he left there was the smell of oil for five days in the home & i was getting ill. when daughter came home, asked her 2 days later if she smelled oil and was feeling ill. she was also. so not only did they charge me for something i told them i didn't need (filters- $5/apiece), but also left furnace with a heavy oil smell that got everyone ill, then gave me estimate of $549 to repair the part i said it was, *which turned out to be only $78 to buy yourself, and i installed myself! works great!! beware of using a.j. perri, overpriced and will sell you parts you don't need, then leave w/o checking if furnace isn't not giving off heavy oil smell. WORST COMPANY OF ANY KIND I'VE EVER WORKED WITH!!!!! BEWARE!!!

After calling Chris, I got an estimted ETA to check out our problem. He ran late but did show up. He was polite and professional. He quickly diagnosed the problem as the AC wasn't wired correctly. He spent about 2 hours, in the blazing heat wave I should add, to remedy the problem. After living with a "problematic" Central AC unit for 6 years. We've had another company come in the past few years, but never completely fixed it. Now it's working better than it's ever worked. We would absolutely hire them again. Thei Business Card is now on the fridge with our list of "go to" contractors. Thank you Chris.

Rocco (the owner) responded to my call immediately and was at my house within an hour. He quickly diagnosed and corrected the problem. Fortunately it was nothing major and he was able to fix things without the need for parts or significant manpower - the fee was basically for the service call. His promptness and professionalism were much appreciated especially given the situation (no heat in the middle of winter). Since I had just recently moved into the house, he also took the time to walk through both of my HVAC systems and assess their condition. He inspected the units and ancillary parts and made some valuable suggestions regarding the existing humidifiers and duct work and the potential for adding air purification units. Within a couple of days, he provided me with an estimate of all the work we discussed with a detailed breakdown by project, so that I can implement things by priority and cost. I will be sure to follow up with RJA when I am ready to proceed.

Sina and his team did a fantastic job finishing our basement. This company truly cares about doing a good job for its customers. They arrived when they said they were going to arrive and did what they said they were going to do each day. They worked with all other contractors we needed -- plumbing, electrical, etc. -- and took charge of everything. Our project finished on time, and our basement is wonderful. Highly recommended

On day one (10/26/17), Jorge arrived was very professional and explained that my steam boiler needed a new main vent. Jorge replaced the vent and It worked great, for about a week! I called back and left two messages with the company AND no call back. Finally after the third message I received a call back, three weeks later! On that day a different plumber was sent. The plumber spent about 30 minutes in the house looking at the boiler while receiving instructions from someone on the phone. It was apparent this plumber did not know what he was doing. At the end he informed us that he was unable to diagnose or repair the problem. He advised that he would have to return with a, "steam boiler expert". At this point he proceeded to inform us that his visit, for doing nothing would cost us $125. I immediately requested to speak with the owner. The plumber advised that he would have the owner, Dominick, call me back. I have yet to hear from him. Still no heat in some rooms. Its now been 4 days and no call from Dominick. Its apparent this company doesn't value the customer and doesn't stand behind their work. I'll be moving on looking for a new plumber before the winter really kicks in.

Allied was on time, did quality work and answered all of my questions along the way. Lenny took the time to walk me through all of the new systems installed as well as how to maintain each unit. Their price was competitive but I believe their service to be unmatched.

The man/ owner was punctual and pleasant. He alarmed with his opinion of the condition of the fireplace, chimney and furnace. I was frankly overwhelmed. It has been over two weeks and I have not received the written report. I had another certified inspector repeat the inspection and was told everything except the liner from the furnace was safe. It was a very different report. I was alarmed by the findings of the first inspection needlessly !!!

Great experience with Rob Jerdach. He was always prompt, polite, answered the 100 questions I had for him. Did not try to over sell anything. We were updating our 32 yr old system before it broke down. Clean-up was great.

Things started out well but ended up downhill. The unit did not work the first day there was a need for the AC. Of course after everything had been paid then there was no rush on the company's part to get over to fix it - although they did. I will give them that; the workers were good but the management wasn't as professional and didn't seem inclined to reply to other requests, which seems to be an unfortunate trend these days. I've tried them several times now about work and have heard nothing back. Don't trust all A+ ratings on Angie's List. I have 2 tune ups with them, which I am owed according to my contract. Let's see what happens. I will update then.

1 hr 20 mins after appt time for initial visit, salesman called to tell me he was running a little late. I said something like, "A little? it's 1 hr 20 mins late." He asked if he could come over (it was already 6:20pm) and I said I couldn't accommodate that. I asked him to call me the next morning to reschedule and he said he would call first thing. Never heard back from him, so I figured he didn't want the job.
