    Al's Professional Painting Services
Not enough space to tell you how awesome Al and his team are. Professional, reliable and quality work always. Through the years Al has painted every room in the house at least once and the outside of the house twice. He has built shelves in the garage & basement, he has refinished kitchen cabinets, reworked bathrooms, i have used junk removal service, i have had them do work at my kids homes, we recently completed a major group of projects using Al for everything. The project started with mold remediation in the basement, gutting our finished basement and completely rebuilding. It also required major drainage work to be done in the front and back of the house. New gutters on the whole house. New paver walkway and entirely new front steps as well as tearing up and rebuilding our large 2 level deck from the house to the pool. He also lifted and reset all the large stones around the pool, add in some landscaping, and on and on. He handled electrical and plumbing when required. The BEST thing about Al is how easy he is to deal with. Responsive to calls always. Works on a materials at cost plus labor for a lot of the projects which is great and is labor rates are more than reasonable for the quality of his team. His carpenters do exceptional work, Also his estimates for labor are usually right on mark. I would highly recommend him and would be happy to talk to anyone looking to use him. Just get my number from Al.

    MY HANDYMAN CAN
After a tornado took out part of our deck railing, we decided to replace the entire railing with a new PVC railing which is maintenance free. Keith and Joey replaced the railing and they did a fantastic job. Both of them are highly skilled, hard-working and friendly - just the type of workers we all would welcome to our home. While working on the railing for the deck steps, Keith noticed that the support of the structure of the stairs was weak and badly needed reinforcement. It was important to him that the stairs were safe to use and we were happy he was able to make time to do this additional work. We highly recommend these professionals for any job you may have!

    Handyman Matters
Since the job is kind of special, quite a few Angie's list listed contactors did not want to help, except Judy from Handyman Matters. Not only Judy took her time to provide useful consultations, but also she took the time to provide detailed estimates for the Cable Company to provide the repair cost. One day I come home, I could not tell it was ever broken. 100% Hassel Free! So Go Judy!

The project manager and his crew were friendly and paid attention to details. Work was done according to budget and schedule. The project manager was flexible to accommodate design modifications and showed excellent ownership of the job

    Monk's Home Improvements

Be aware rightfrom the start, that thecarpenter/sales person whomakes the sales pitch, whose carpentry skills you might trust/believe,may not be the one who does any work or supervision of your job. Our sales guy never returned afterthe project began. A completely new 'carpenter' is introduced to you and begins your job. We were left with an unknown carpenter, and two man crew ( no hablo)with unknown skills to do our remodel which included the install of expensive custom cabinets, crown & trim.

The first carpentry crew assigned to our job underperformed. (grade D) Seemed unprepared. They had no dumpster. The debris was piled high on back lawn, without any tarp underneath. I am still picking up sheetrock, tile chips, nails, etc. They used a van to transport refuse. They often didn't have the right materials. Found them using inadequate nailing patterns on the ceiling sheetrock (16" apart with fine thread screws) andinadequate screw patternson the 3/4 " subfloor, and hardiebacker. I had to watch them/supervise them for every aspect of the job. After several more problems witnessed, including a newly constructed door hallway opening that wasnot level at the top,and a soffit above the cabinets that was not level, asloppy install of apatio door, a grazedelectric wire,I requested the work stopped and a new crew. Monk'smanagement understood and provided a new crew that were much better. At my request, they made corrections toall of the mistakes of the first crew. Overall, this new crew did "B+" grade work. I had to ask thata few of theirerrors be fixedalso, but I was still happy with their work.

The price was good compared to other estimates, but I would not recommend them unless you know basic carpentry and you are there throughout the day to ensure that the job is done right.

    All Around Renovations LLC
We chose Mike because his estimate was very reasonable and he seemed to understand exactly what we wanted. Mike was very professional, knowledgeableand was always available by phone or text for any questions. The project came in on budget and on time (only delays were from the town permits & inspectors). We are very happy with the quality of the work done and would absolutely use Mike again in the future.

    North American Pfister Inc
Their sales approach was low key. Their price was reasonable. They were punctual. They come and got it done in a week. They were responsive to all the issues. There was a couple of issues and they came and fixed it all. I have no negatives; it was all good. I would absolutely use them again.

From start to finish the framing went a smooth as possible. Dave and his crew started on the date promised and were there every day until the job was completed. The framing started January 2007 and even with the cold, rain, snow and MUD they worked whenever possible. Their workmanship and attitude was second to none and would recommend them highly. Even with changes from original plan, Dave treated me fairly with the price.

Foreman showed up on time for the estimate, then he and his crew arrived on time to do the work. Clean up was great as was the final product.
