Tandem Contracting were very professional and punctual. Anything I asked them to do, they were able to accommodate me. This year they will be refinishing my basement and a bathroom. They are very talented contractors who truly love what they do!

From the beginning, Frank (the owner) was great.  He responded promptly to my call for an estimate, and showed me multiple options of all phases of the project.  The design of the renovations were done with beautiful artistic creativity that we would never have thought of on our own.  Frank's sources of materials and products are total high quality and very reasonably priced.  The project started on the day I was told it would begin, and moved rapidly and with great quality.  I had no complaints and was totally satisfied with the hard work the CDC team put into the projects.  They are truly committed to providing quality work and making sure their customers are totally satisfied.  Also, my property and interior of my home was kept orderly and dust-free throughout the project, unlike other companies I have used.  We would highly recommend CDC to anyone looking for quality and professional workmanship on any projects in their home!  We are now in discussions for future renovations to 2 bathrooms in our home and other upgrades.

After specifying that we wanted a couple of spots of Grout fixed that had small cracks in our upstairs bathroom, when they finally came out and my wife stayed home from work to meet them they did not do the work but rather gave a completely different quote on caulking our bathtub which would have come to close to $300+.  We never mentioned the bathtub nor does it need caulking.  I had been very specific in my communications with them that the floor tile had two spots where the tile was cracked and honestly I could have gotten a marble size piece of grout to fix both, but it was worth the BigDeal to have someone do it.  However, here I am having to try to get a refund after the clock ran out on this Big Deal and the Grout Doctor still either playing a game or truly not understanding that I only wanted them to do what the Big Deal was for and what I specifically listed for them to do which was specifically what the BigDeal was for...  This was not rocket science but trying to get them to do their job and not something else they wanted to do was like pushing a rope.  Communication is a very weak point for this vendor as well as doing what they are specifically paid to do and directed to do.

This was our first renovation (will be the first of many to come) so we didn't know what to expect. It was nice that Sergiy and Nick cleaned up after themselves each night so we could get around our house. We had them in our house alone on many occasions and they would always leave our house in good shape. Sergiy was always in communication which is key, and was always available for questions and in our case, more additions to the project! He was very flexible to our additions and we enjoyed his company! Thank you again for a job well done, we will be calling you when we are ready for our next project list! SPASIBO BOLSHOI!

He gave me the option of buying the tile myself. After agreeing to the estimate he gave me the amount of each type of  tile . I purchased the tile we picked at Lowes and let him know when it was on site. He showed up on time, laid down protection for the carpet, and began by asking me how it should go. I had a drawing prepared, we made some minor changes and he went about laying out the tile. He finished placing most of the tile the first day, returned when he said he would the next day to finish some trim and then grout. That's it, very quick and simple and looks great.

Walter completely gutted the bathroom and replaced everything. He tiled the floor and the bathtub area.  He installed crown molding throughout and base molding.
He also replaced the base molding in the hallway and living room.
In addition, he tiled the foyer.
He was very pleasant and trustworthy.  His work was very detailed and effiient.
I would definately use him again.

excellent craftmanship; attention to details is awesome; all parties provided good to excellent service; prompt reponse to calls and inquiries; always felt comfortable when workers were in my home and I was out; truly a group of professionals and experts. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to gut and redo a bathroom. They all truly provide wonderful attention to detail. They always cleaned up as well as possible. Post job, my partner and I met with owner of the business to debrief the project. He was very interested in what worked (which was 98% of the project) and what didn't (a few instances of poor communication). Overwhelmingly a positive experience. We love our new bathroom!

We were finishing our basement and had an inch or so of water from Irene (that mostly came up through cracks in the floor). FCI leveled the floor, put a water/vapor barrier down (Ditromat), and tiled over all. It was about 900 sq ft and we had french drains installed before all of this. The installer took his time leveling the floor since we did not want to simply put more concrete down and lose any height from the basement. The installer thought the grout was too light so waited for me to come home (I agreed). All in all, though expensive, a very fine, professional job.

I contacted Handyman Matters because of proximity to my house and reviews on Angie's List. I submitted a request online and received an email from Judy back right away. She is the definition of customer service - responsive, knowledgeable and very nice. Everything went very smoothly, I got an estimate, scheduled a date and their person (Mario) came out as planned. The work took a few days - but I was kept informed of the process - there were no surprises. Unbelievable what a bit of paint and new tile can do the the entrance of your home. I was very pleased with the results and the service. I am asking them back to do my deck in a month or so! Would highly recommend. For those of us who aren't handy - they are a God send. I thought the price was fair for the amount of work done.
