It was an absolute pleasure working with them. right from the first interaction wherein we explained our requirements to Alex, we noticed that he paid attention to details and wasnt looking to sell us things that we did not want. he and his team works very well without any supervision. infact for the power washing and the rapairs of the deck , we werent even at home as we were on a vacation. When we got back we saw that Alex and his team had progressed with the work much to our satisfaction. even when the complexity of the project changed, due to the color of the paint we selected not being the one we hoped for , alex went out of his way to to give us time to select a new paint and put in additional coat at no additional charge. Needless to say this was one of my most pleasurable experiences working with contractors and there is no doubt i will hire him again when the need arises. Alex and his team epitomize professionalism which sadly seems to be lost these days. Thanks to their efforts , we have a deck that we envisioned.

    Tools To The Rescue
Rudy (dba Tools to the Rescue) responded quickly to our inquiries and to subsequent requests. He maintained an aggressive schedule to finish the project quickly. He and his team worked rain or shine. We are pleased with the finished product and have enjoyed many hours on the deck since its completion. It was also a plus to be able to hire someone who makes his home in our neighborhood.

Erick provided an estimate and was professional and punctual. Answered all calls and questions almost immediately. Out of all the estimates we received, he spent the most time with explaining the process due to the type of aluminum we had. Victor, the foreman, was also very professional. His team showed up each day at exactly 8am, and worked tirelessly. Any issues I had were addressed immediately. I've owned a home for 16 years and working with companies and contractors can sometimes be difficult to almost impossible, but these guys were spot on the entire time. I recommend them 100%!

    Tools To The Rescue
Rudy and his team are always prompt, courteous and professional. This is the third time I've hired them, and they always do always do a fantastic job! This time I was having my front porch sanded and painted. This was a porch that's been covered by rugs for many years, so the old glue had to be removed, and two coats had to be added to the porch. As part of the same job, I needed a ceiling fan replaced in my daughter's room. I bought the fan myself and Rudy's team put the new one in and removed the old one. It works perfectly now.

    Octagon LLC

This is the most exceptional contractor I have been privileged to find in my 13 years of looking for help with my house (built in 1949) since I moved in.  The owner was attentive to every detail.  He was not at all flustered by requests that arose in process (as requests will -- and I am picky); rather, he treated each request with the utmost respect and as just another opportunity to have a 100% satisfied customer at the end of the project.  He was personable, easy to reach, communicative, responsive, flexible, respectful, and polite.  He hand-crafted a gate to keep my little dog on the porch and out of harm's way.  He showed tremendous ingenuity and imagination in problem-solving.  No finishing touch was left outstanding. He even saw things to fix and fixed them without being asked.  Only high quality parts were used.  His entire crew was also competent, respectful, and polite (so much so, I bought them all pizza).  I cannot speak highly enough of the quality of both character and craftsmanship.  I received compliments from 3 neighbors before the project was even finished!  The design of the deck matches the "New England" style of the house. Pete is not only a top notch builder, he is a true artisan.  The crew finished in a timely manner, and I can't imagine being more pleased.  I only wish I could post pictures (and that Spring would come next instead of Winter)!  Thank you!!

    Tools To The Rescue
We continue to call whenever something arises that needs to be fixed. He is honest and will NOT make you spend more if he knows of a better way to fix something than you had in mind. He does not waste time. He gets the job done efficiently, and he never leaves a mess. Additionally, he comes when he says and does NOT waste your time. Also, he is polite. We will continue to use him.

    Single Solution Construction
We contacted Nick from Single Solution
Construction regarding a project we needed completed.  The project
consisted of a full renovation of an apartment unit.  Nick was friendly
and well knowledgeable about every aspect of the project.  He presented us
with many ideas to complement our own concepts in respect to our proposed plans
for the project.  Our project consisted of a strict budget and an
unwavering deadline of 6 weeks to complete the renovation.  Nick managed
not only meet our budget criteria but also helped us to find a better quality
of materials while still not straying from our budget.  He also managed to
finish the project one week ahead of our deadline.  Nick also saved me a
few thousand dollars by composing all of the project blueprints to submit to
the city for an inspection permit instead of hiring an architect.  All of
his employees were quite friendly, but most importantly they were intuitive in
regards to their knowledge of their respective fields and unbelievably talented
    in their workmanship.
Our project entailed a full gut and renovation of
a massively outdated kitchen and bathroom, removal of carpeting and refinishing
of 70 year old hardwood floors that lay beneath the carpet which were in
absolutely horrible shape, a revamp of the entire plumbing system and
electrical wiring system in the entire home that was in horrid condition due to
its age, painting the entire unit, and refinishing the deck.  The kitchen
work included installation of new tile, cabinetry, reset lights, GFI outlets,
backsplash, microwave, stove, and refrigerator.  The work in the bathroom
included floor tile, tiling the bath area, installation of a vanity, toilet,
tub, towel bars, lighting and custom paint work utilizing faux Venetian plaster
that looked absolutely splendid upon completion.  Single Solution
Construction also did a fantastic job doing custom paint work in the master
bedroom applying a satin finish paint with a custom metallic finish that looked
stunning and really gave the room a quite unique look.
The work in the rest of the home included the
transformation of the floors that upon being unveiled from the carpets that
covered them seemed unsalvageable.  Nick assured me that they could be
refurbished to look fabulous.  Though I was apprehensive, I took his word
for it and I was absolutely amazed at the end result.  He recommended a
dark colored stain to hide imperfections of the aged hardwood floor and also to
add contrast to the white kitchen cabinets that were next to the living room in
the kitchen.  I couldn't be happier with the results.  Other work
that was done included installation of fans in three rooms, custom closets that
rival California Closets, installation of two windows, and installation of
pendant lights above the small granite bar counter in the kitchen.
After seeing the work that Nick and his crew at
Single Solution Construction have done I am quite pleased.  My
expectations have been exceeded and I would highly recommend this company to
anyone that needs any type of home renovation done.  They are
professionals that are talented at what they do and actually care about serving
    a customer's needs and expectations.

    Freeborne Decking
Originally we hired a contractor who sold himself as a reputable deck builder with experience. Eventually we found that he really was extremely limited in knowledge and couldn't complete the deck as promised or even close to acceptable.
After a several month disaster and being grossly overcharged by the first contractor, we had to fire him
from the job. That's when we hired Gary and Freeborne Decking who saved the project.
We spent time interviewing several contractors and we found Gary to be the most genuine of all and came with the most professional presentation. He presented a book containing previous projects he had completed which all looked top notch. None of the other contractors had such a presentation, probably because they weren't proud of their past work is my
    assumption.
The work stage of the deck went flawlessly. They had to fix several of the mistakes of the previous contractor and did so far exceeding our expectations. After only a couple of days our deck was finished to perfection. Our neighbors even commented on how hard working and professional the crew was the entire time. They made sure the project area was clean and presentable at the end of each day.
Also, to our surprise, they fixed additional cosmetic issues which were not discussed to make sure our deck was finished perfectly!
The moral of the story is this...
If we had been lucky enough to hire Freeborne Decking from the start, we would have enjoyed an entire summer with our new deck without any building disasters or problems. It would have been done in a week as opposed to several months. We would have saved money by hiring actual professionals, and we would have gotten the exact look we wanted right from the start.
Thank you to all the guys on the crew
of Freeborne Decking for a job well done!

    Maple Building & Remodeling LLC
Daniel came to my house, looked at the job, and told me he would contact me with a price.
He never called back to me or mailed me a proposal.
He never responded to my follow up phone call.
A phone call telling me he was busy or not interested in doing the job would have been fine.
    Instead he just ignored me.
    Very unprofessional.

    American Home Remodeling Inc
Vic Fiore managed our project. He was very professional,
courteous and very communicative, responding to texts and emails. Im always a
little nervous during large projects but Vics high level of communication went
a long way to easing my anxiety level during the work. We went through several
iterations of the scope of work before finally arriving at what would become a
completed job. Vic was patient with me as I changed things, added things,
removed things trying to get to the correct scope and price.
The professionals that did the different parts of the
project were all really good at their trades. The carpenter did an amazing job
on the deck and was able to build features that I either described or showed
him on websites. He also built a beautiful portico over the back door which was
later finished by the siding crew. It came out better than expected. The siding
crew did the rip-off of the old siding and installed new Prodigy insulated
vinyl. They trimmed out all the windows and doors and the final result is amazing.
The paving crew laid in a paver walk and patio to complement the new deck. A
mason applied stucco on the entire foundation. The color is lighter than the
siding and this detail really enhanced the overall appearance of the completed
    project.
In any large project there will be areas of concern that
need special attention. Several of these areas surfaced after the workers had
finished various phases. In each case, Vic was just a text message away to take
care of getting it corrected. There was not one problem that didnt get
resolved. When we step back and look at the final result, were always thankful
that we had a top notch project manager that got everything done correctly. I
am very happy that I used AHR and they will definitely get my next project. I
highly recommend them. Thanks Vic and all tradesmen for a job well done!!
