I had a leak coming from a bath tub in one of my rentals. i called Archie's, and they came out the same day to access the leak. They diagnose the problem right away, and did temporary remediation. They returned the next morning and fixed the leak permanently. I was very happy, and which that they where my first call for this job. I highly recommend them

It went great! The vent cover is installed, and the window is caulked. He wasn't sure he had the right cartridge to stop the faucet leak. But he did go out on my roof to see if he could help me figure out where the ceiling moisture on my first floor was coming from. He caulked some areas of the roof, and hammered in some gutter nails that had loosened over the years. I plan to have him and his company back out soon to reglaze the roof and take care of some other issues around my house. John is very personable. He called to let me know when he was on his way to my house. I will be more than happy to hire him again.

    SJ Waterproofing
We have a home that is over 100 years old with a stone foundation.   We purchased the home in the late 1960"s and the basement had been a few areas that were finished off.  As time went on, we started to get water during heavy rains and then eventually started to get water every time it rained.  The paneling and carpeting and everything else started to suffer.  We could no longer use the basement for what we had intended to.  When we had finally had enough, we decided to call 3 companies for estimates.   SJ Waterproofing was by far the most knowledgeable and reasonable, not only because of their price, but because they could do ALL the work themselves.  It was clear that from the moment Phil made his inspection and sat down and explained to us what needed to be done to restore the basement to a healthy and safe living area, we had called the right company,  He explained that what we could see as being damaged was only part of it.  Because the paneling was covering the stone walls, we really had no idea the shape they were in.  (One of the other companies wanted to cut the paneling  3' high around the perimeter and leave the rest).  Phil's concern was the paneling was very likely mold infested on the back side(where we couldn't see it) and it was hiding the condition of the stone foundation.  (there were exposed areas of the stone foundation and they were crumbling and had a white powder all over them) As the conversation went on, there wasn't a question we asked that he couldn't answer.   It was obvious that the company who sent the guy out who wanted to cut the sheet rock..sent a salesman, he couldn't answer our questions and relied on pictures and literature, instead of just talking to us.  Phil was clearly speaking from lots of experience and indicated it was his trade.  He recommended what he called "gutting" the basement to expose the foundation all the way around and SJ Waterproofing would clean the walls and re-parge them as well as applying a waterproofing sealant to restore the foundation.  He also recommended installing an interior perimeter drain system.  There was section of the concrete floor that was crumbling as well.  He recommended pouring a new floor in that area while they were there doing the other work. He explained that it needed to be done and the cost savings to do everything at once and by the same company was beneficial.  The project took a total of three days and the men worked from the moment they arrived to the moment they left.   It's been 12 years and we have not had a problem since.

    Great Plumbers

There was some confusion on how the Angie's Deal coupon worked, but other than that everything went well. The service tech was neat, clean and professional and did a very professional job.

Harvey showed up when he said he would. Did a great job replacing the valves.  Other than the new valves, you couldn't tell he had been there when he left.  Left his work area as he found it.  Will definitely contact them again when we need more plumbing work done.

I called to have someone come out to unclog my kitchen sink, which had been clogged for longer than I'd like to admit. I was told that no one was available that day, but someone could come out the next morning. Two individuals showed up right on schedule, snaked the drain, and told me I needed a new garbage disposal. I will be calling them again soon to have them handle the installation.

I initially called them in because I needed a gas line run 8 feet to my dryer and I had a shaky, dripping toilet and a bathtub whose drainage pipe leaked onto the floor whenever there was water in the tub. I also had a kitchen drain that was very slow to drain if the water was run too long. B & D Plumbing came out promptly; they were on time and professional while being pleasant. When they came out, took a look at my jobs and gave me a quote. While they were on the job they noticed and mentioned that my hot water gas pipe which was galvanized was laid against a copper pipe. Apparently, when two different types of metal are laid against each other a process called electrolysis (I had to look that up) occurs and copper will over time degrade the galvanized (not good considering my galvanized pipe was carrying gas). We scheduled a day for them to come out in the next week and they came on time, ready to work and immediately set to work on getting to code my gas lines. The work they performed was professional, with the line run straight and the work done well. Over a two day period they worked on the gas line, replaced my water closet and flange as well as the toilet. We agreed that if they encountered any galvanized piping during the jobs, they would replace it with the appropriate pipe. When they surveyed the 2nd floor bathroom leaking drainage pipe they found that the p trap was bad and that the bathtub had been leaking out into the floor joists and ceiling below. I had not noticed because my house is old and there is a drop ceiling below an older ceiling and that bathroom has not been in use since I moved in. Because my home is old the piping for the bathroom was buried beneath tile, tile board, plywood and cement. Because of the water damage I decided that I wanted the floor joist sistered so that I was sure they would be strong enough to support the weight of my base foot tub. I had different contractors come out and demo the bathroom but B & D were my plumbing contractors for the job and they coordinated with the other contractors so that everyone came at the appropriate times to do what was needed, be it rough in the pipes once the floor joists were sistered but before the tile was laid. B& D installed my new vanity and when they did the plumbing for the tub they gave me a larger drain line in order to prevent clogs. Truly I am very happy with their work and I will be using them in the future for any of my plumbing woes (it is an old house). They are proactive and professional and I found their prices reasonable. I did get a quote from another company and almost fell out in shock from how much they wanted just to run my gas line 8 feet. B & D Plumbing was the right choice for me; they clean up and got a hauler to pick up the heavy stuff,( I added a couple of my things to the pile).
