  I have been a patient of Wallingford Smilemakers for more than 15 years. I have 'challenging teeth' and have felt that I have received excellent care from Dr Hayes and his staff. Recently, my hygienist (Nicole) did an excellent job with cleaning and performing normal preventative care. Every visit is seamless; the office organization is obvious the moment you enter the door. No one likes to go to the dentist ......but when you do (and we should) go........, I would give an enthusiastic 'two thumbs up' for Wallingford Smilemakers. They are the BEST!!!!! Today was a Post COVID visit (9/22/2020): Wallingford Smilemakers has invested in state-of-the-art HEPA air filters, room foggers (for sanitizing the dental suites), and very robust infectious disease protocols. Your visit will be safe, very efficient and painless. Top marks for Wallingford Smilemakers.

  Jay Laudenbach DMD

  Dr. Laudenbach is fantastic. My dentist referred me to him because I was suffering from increasingly severe gum inflammation with no discernable cause. Dr. Laudenbach took a very thorough history and took the time to elicit, and listen to, my description of not just dental but also medical issues that had arisen over the past year -- namely, worsening rosacea on my face and in my eyes, two episodes of contact dermatitis, and the increasingly severe gum inflammation. He was the first person to connect all these things; he suggested that all of them were signs that something was upregulating my immune system. That insight led me to stop wearing a set of Vivera retainers that I had begun wearing shortly before this string of problems commenced. My thought was that I should see whether the retainers might be what caused the problems. And since I stopped wearing the retainers I have had very positive results so far (my gums are noticeably healing though full healing will likely take some time). I credit Dr. Laudenbach's thoughtful approach, patience, expertise, and consideration of all my health issues for leading to the key insight. Also, both he and his staff are extremely nice. I can't say enough good things about him and his office!
