Driveway Pavers reviews in Butler

    Mseal
Work done yesterday. Pleased so far. I say "so far" as I expect if issues arise they will become apparent much later. That said, I recommend this company. They were diligent in prep work and deliberate in applying coating - used brushes to spread, not squeegee. Chose Mseal solely based on Angie's List reviews and direct conversations. Did not get other quotes, so I will offer no rating on price. I have no issues with price charged. I made one mistake. I should have been present when estimate was done. I misunderstood what was to be done. Upon discussion when work was underway I came to realize that my expectation was unreasonable. Mseal says it will come back to check on work periodically. I anticipate using Mseal again for follow-up work. My driveway is old and beat up and will need future professional attention.

    Everlast Paving And Brick Pavers
The driveway received two coats of seal coat.  But the driveway was so dry it will require another coat in the summer.  Pave Masters has agreed to return in the summer and do this at no extra charge.  The front steps were resurfaced well. The front and side walkways were resurfaced nicely.   The front chimney was not sand blasted,  just scraped and painted.  Pave Masters has agreed to return if need be if the chimney peals and sand blast and paint at no extra charge.  A 5 year warranty on material and labor was provided.  The back chimney was resurfaced well.  The roof was cleaned but caused the roof to leak.  This was due to holes already in the roof and covered by moss to open up and leak.  Pave Masters recommended a roofer to repair or replace the roof at additional charge.  This was done and was not part of the original agreement.  Painting was done where needed after repairs.

During the work Pave Masters pointed out additional repairs required on the front chimney.  After some discussion this was done at additional cost.  And was not part of the original agreement.

Everything was well cleaned up after the work was completed.

    Bob Tuit Paving & Landscaping
He's good. He's very professional and quick. He got in and did what he had to do and got out. He allocated the proper resources. It was a driveway job but he was in and out in a matter of a couple of days. His pricing was very reasonable. Everything was on the up and up with those guys. It was a very pleasurable experience. I would call Bob again if I was going to do more granite curbing.

    R & G PAVING
Called Rand G Pavers on Friday--George Bros got back to me on Tuesday and made an appointment for an estimate for 7pm Wednesday.

About half an hour before he was due, his wife(?) called and said it was his son's birthday and he had forgotten. Giving him the benefit of the doubt, I accepted an appointment the following evening at 7pm.

You guessed it--he never showed, and neither the number he had called from nor the one his wife called from answered.

Maybe having two identities is supposed to give them twice the chances to respond appropriately?

Essex & Morris Contracting Co Inc
I have never been more happy or satisfied with the work of a hired contractor. They were on time, professional and neat. We were very particular in the details of the driveway, making sure the pitch for drainage was correct, the height of the belgium block was accurate and to our specification (we only wanted 4" to show above the driveway) and John at Essex listened to our needs, followed them when he could and advised us on what he thought would be better suited in his professional opinion. With Essex, its the little details that most people may not think of that they do that make me recommend them. For example, when the replaced my the apron, they went to the trouble to actually cut out the pavement on the street neatly in a rectangular box and then when they paved my driveway the paved the area the cut out instead of just patching the broken pavement. Now when I pull into my driveway it is smooth - not bumpy. That to me shows that they care about the overall appearance of my property just as much as I do. If you hire them, you will not be disappointed!

    Atlas Paving Contractors Inc
Start to finish was a very positive experience. If you need someone with experience and expertise call Atlas Paving. Mike offered many helpful suggestions and sound advice. He arrived on time and completed the work on schedule with absolute proficiency and no residual mess. I found the price to be fair. The price charged was the price originally quoted. I would definitely call Atlas Paving again.

The responsiveness of the company left a little to be desired. The company's owner did return phone calls, however getting the job scheduled took a few weeks. I appreciated that they did return calls. The owner (Mike) showed up the day before the job was to be completed (7/13) and went over all of the details pertaining to the work they will complete. He said they would begin work promptly at 7:30 A.M. the following day (7/14). They showed up exactly on time as they promised and began working. Per the original quoted work, they were supposed to sawcut a piece of concrete sidewalk in front of my home which overlapped onto the existing driveway. This was to preserve the sidewalk and prevent damage to it. On the day of the work, they used a backhoe to pull up the asphalt driveway, however they forgot to sawcut the sidewalk. When the backhoe lifted up the asphalt, it took the sidewalk with it, and when it came slamming down, it cracked my sidewalk in half. I immediately stopped the work and spoke with Mike. He gave me some pushback because it was the fault of the previous installation. He also said "this is why the other quotes you were given were higher". I didn't appreciate this from the company's owner when it was clearly a fault of theirs. They did resolve the issue by breaking up the sidewalk and pouring down new concrete (at their expense). The job was completed very quickly and they stuck to their schedule. By 3:30 PM they were completed and left the job. They did a good job cleaning up after themselves as well. Overall I would say I am extremely satisfied with the service that Atlas Paving provided. I would definitely recommend them to my friends. It remains to be seen how this driveway will hold up since I can't park on it just yet. But the job was well laid out and they completed the work they set out to do.

Our driveway was probably 40 years old and badly in need of repair, especially after last winter's ice storm. It is large and could hold approximately 7-8 cars. They arrived here at 7:30 a.m. on the dot as promised, and were finished by noon. The work is beautiful, and I would recommend them to anyone. Their estimate was $2000 less than another contractor's who was going to do less than half the work -- only remove the bottom half of our driveway before re-asphalting.

When I called, they made a appointment for a estimate and called that day to see if he, could come early. Which was perfectly fine. He looked at the driveway and gave us an estimate, which was the final price. They showed up on the date and time, that was made for the job. The men who did the job were friendly and professional. The boss was on the job, most of the 8 hours it took to do the job, from start to finish. They cleaned up everything and when they left, you would not have known they were there, except for the yellow tape to keep us off for a couple of days. I would recommend this company to anyone, considering a paving job big or small. Their price was great. We got a estimate of the same price from another company and all they were going to do was put a 2 inch coating of pavement on the existing driveway and extend it 2 feet. And for the same price, as you can see, Atlas did much more.
