    Van Express Moving & Storage
    1. Job was grossly under estimated. Owner estimated a single day 7 to 9-hour job was estimated actual job took the crew 17 hours over two days, plus I had to get last second local storage for approximately 1/3 of items. 2. 3 trucks were promised but only 2 were delivered, adding to the delays. 3. Several crew members were very slow moving, foreman told me that they were fasting and that was they had less energy. If crew members are fasting they should not be put on big jobs where the other crew has to make up for their lack of energy. It is worth noting that certain other crew members did a great job and most furniture was well cared for, however there was some minor damage because some items were not well protected as it got later in the day. 4. They took a 30+ minute lunch break and, in addition to that, I was also told an hour would be taken off the bill for my inconvenience, however final bill only had 1 hour (not 1.5 hours) taken off the bill, I was told they would not unload unless I agreed to the amount, so reluctantly signed. 5. Trash (water bottles, pizza boxes, tape) was left at the move site. 6. A large oriental rug was left outside after the move, luckily I saw it want was able to move it inside myself before it was ruined. 7. I paid the final bill by credit card, writing down my CC number on the bill. 2 hours after that my card had several fraudulent charges and I had to shut down the card. Probably not a coincidence.

The crew was strong enough to easily move everything, very professional and thorough, and left no damage. They brought all the right tools. The company and dispatcher were very responsive and communicative and I never felt like I was in the dark at all. The only downside is the price. You pay for the quality you get.

    Van Express Moving & Storage
They showed up with a small panel van - not a truck. They showed up at 11 AM instead of the quoted 8 AM. Not prepared to wrap any furniture as promised. They would not even have had room for the pieces I asked for, let alone the additional pieces promised over the phone. All promises, no delivery from this company. Do not use them. Do not believe what they tell you over the phone, the promises they make. It's worth it to pay more for a reliable service. I'm just fortunate another company was around to bail me out.

    Mahwah Movers LLC
Mike set everything up in advance. He was professional, courteous, and friendly. He quoted me 4 guys, at 10 hours - 1 truck  - total cost was estimated at $1700. It was raining the day of the move, and actually 6 guys showed up. I called Mike and he said due to the weather, it would be faster this way. The movers were all quick, took special care of everything, and were very respectful of our belongings and all of the people involved. They actually banged out 2 and a half units at the storage place, the apartment, made all the stops and unloaded everything in about 5 hours. They were great. I would highly recommend using them again, and would be happy to use them myself.

    Vernay Moving & Storage
Terrible! Dishonest! Evelyn came out to give me an estimate on moving our house about 1/2 mile from where we currently lived and also possibly storing our contents for a few weeks until the closing of the new house. I emphasized to her that I had a very valuable sentimental chandelier that has been in my family for many years and was one of the few things that my family was able to retrieve from the nazis after ww2. It was then shipped to the U.S. and has great value. I expressed to Evelyn that I wanted it treated with great care and that from my previous move it was packed in a wooden crate. She swore to me it was not a problem and made me pay for it to be packed up that way. The day the movers showed up things went well until they tried to put the chandelier in a card board box. I couldn't believe it. It then took 2 hours for Evelyn to call me back. She took a guy off the job to go back to the warehouse to build the crate. He then came back to my house with the same card board box with a broom stick punched through it. Again I called Evelyn and told her that this was unacceptable .(even you tube can show how to pack a chandelier ) Finally at 7:30 pm a guy showed up with a half built wooden crate that I had no choice but to use. It was unbelievably stressfull very disappointing and unacceptable that they did that. They landed up having to store the contents of my house for 4 weeks so when they gave us the final bill and it was thousands more than the estimate we had no choice in the matter. We have never seen an estimate that far off from the final price. Then the second disaster happened. I was told that they would call me when they left the warehouse so we could meet them at the new house. This did not happen. My husband called because he was meeting someone else at the house and told me that the movers were there unloading boxes. I rushed to the house and noticed that they were putting marked boxes in the wrong rooms. I had to check everything because they were not. Then a carpet installer brought to my attention that they broke one of my Baker dining chairs and tried to glue it . It was fresh glue because it stunk. When I brought it to their attention they then apologized about it. Again I called Evelyn to inform her of the dishonesty of her crew and we arranged to have a furniture medic fix the chair properly. As if this wasn't enough they didn't store my furniture properly because when they set up my game table the entire top was warped. Again I called Evelyn and she had me send her pictures of it but, nothing was ever done about it and I'm still waiting to hear back from her almost a year later. I have never written a bad review before but this company was disorganized, irresponsible , and untrustworthy . I feel it is important to let other people know about it especially if they have valuables that need to be moved.

    Moving Man Inc
The first move went well; they arrived on time and energetically, skillfully and professionally moved equipment and boxes. However, the second half was different. We received a phone message saying they would be an hour late. But after 3 hours we called in and were told they were on their way, that they had "left already". That was not encouraging. When I asked why they were late I was told it was equipment problems. When I inquired whether they had scheduled another job before ours I was told "absolutely not; we would never do that". When the movers actually arrived FIVE hours late, they said their earlier job turned out to be much more involved than expected. I do not appreciate being "handled", ie being lied to over and over by a phone person just because he can. This person said he could not reach the driver to find out exactly where he is. When I mentioned cancelling the job, he said I must tell him immediately so he can call the driver back!!
This second crew was not nearly as professional as the first, and they were less motivated. One thing I will say, they do not whip out the paperwork while your possesions are still on the truck, in effect ransoming them in order to receive payment on their terms as some movers do.
The last stop was a storage facility, where they did try to finish up with a flurry of activity, but neglected to place boxes in a way that their labels could be read easily.
When I called a day or two later to discuss these and other issues, I was told by "the manager" that we would be called back. Never heard from them. I would chalk this up to "too busy to care" syndrome. Don't move in the summer if you can avoid it.

A Man With a Van & More Inc
The crew that came to move two large pieces from my mom's to my sister's house were wonderful. Both items were very heavy and the crew acted as if they were no bother at all. Really great experience and recommend Man with a Van and More for your move.

They were on time.  Their were four of them.  We stressed what was delicate and what to take care with.  They finished two thirds of the boxing that needed to be done.  They also shrink wrapped the furniture and bubble wrapped the pictures and mirrors.  They did a great  job.

    DELICATO TRANSPORT MOVING
I was very worried about moving as the industry really doesn't have a great reputation. The owner addressed all my worries and issues and also returned emails very quickly for other questions. I could see that I would have driven any other individual crazy but he remained calm and thoroughly addressed all issues. I was apprehensive up until moving day and then all my worries were alleviated. Delicato Transport treated my furniture and belongings as if it was their own. They were quick, respectful and responsive. They stayed within the price range quoted. Nothing was broken, no walls were scraped and nothing got wet (it was raining!!!). I would use them again in a heartbeat and HIGHLY recommend this company.

The person that came to do the estimate was awesome - Omar. He was on time, efficient, very knowledgable and extremely thorough - not to mention very personable. He advised that it would take 4 men and 1 large truck 9.5 hours to complete the move where others quoted more men and 2 trucks. When I booked their services, they said they were going to send some boxes and tape for us to use at no additional charge which I received 2 days later which was great. Moving day, they called when they were about 20 mins away to let us know they would be there soon, which was nice. They arrived, we did a quick walk-through with all the guys and they got right to work. I should mention that they were scheduled to come at 9am, but I had requested them to come a half- hour earlier if possible and they got there at 8:30 on the nose. The guys worked fast and efficiently and the guy loading the truck truly made it look like an art form, he did an awesome job using every possible open space in the truck. We had added a number of things that we weren't planning on taking with us and they managed to fit most of it in the truck. They brought us so many wardrobe boxes so we didn't have to worry about packing our clothes. We had our house closing so had to leave at 930 to get to that. I did have someone there just in case they had any questions about anything though. We got home from the closing around 1130 and couldn't believe how much they had gotten done....it was just about finished! They took the liberty of boxing anything that we hadn't had the chance to box yet and that amazed us. We got to the new house at about 130 or so, bought them lunch and they got right back to work. They put everything where it needed to go and even started putting the beds and stuff together which we told them it wasn't necessary. They didn't even have a problem when I asked them to move things around in the living room. They finished by 5pm and it wound up costing us 1750 for the day which was about 500-600 cheaper than quoted. We tipped each person for doing an awesome job. No issues at all they were terrific and I definitely recommend their services!
