    I worked with Alpha initially and they were great. I called back a second time and to schedule more work and they company went MIA. No response, no follow up, zero communication. They vanished! I gave them the benefit of the doubt and waited before I wrote this, but still no response back. I am a real estate professional who worked with them because of the advertising they were doing for promptness and professionalism. They lack both. Beware......

After opening up the unit, not only did he find the reason for the issue, but took the time to explain what and why. I am no novice to how things work and what is involved, so to see that he was honest was refreshing.

    They came an did an assessment for $85 and the tech said wasn't exactly sure what wa swrong because the back panel was frozen shut. He didn't seem to be to confident that he could diagnose and fix the problem. They did not do the repair

    called Horizon on a Sunday since my air conditioner had stopped working and was making loud noises but there was no activity on the outside condenser.

    They scheduled me for a service appointment on Monday between 10AM and 2PM.  And explained that there was a $79 fee for them to come out.  I had my senior citizen father at the house since I was at work, my father gave the service person a coupon he had and the total became $89

    Horizon called at approximately 9:45AM to tell me that the technician was on his way. 

    After inspection I was told that the unit had a bad condenser fan motor, and bad capacitators and that the repair would cost the $1460.90.  There was a cost comparison (ball park estimate that showed that the cost of ownership to repair and not replace the unit was going to cost me an additional $3,800 over the next year. So on Tuesday I called a few other HVAC contractors to get competitive quotes for replacement.  I spoke with another HVAC specialist who, after the conversation, questioned whether the entire unit needed replacement.  He came out on Wednesday AM and told me he needed to get the motor which would be a couple hundred dollars, he came back approximately 1 hour later and installed the motor.  $403 later I have functioning air conditioning

    I feel that Horizon employs predatory tactics to get people to purchase new equipment that is not necessary or charges an exorbitant fee for repairs when someone is in need of assistance.  I feel bad for those that have been victim to this practice.  I feel much better dealing with contractors who employ ethics when doing business

    Contacted Johnnie's to provide service for a non functioning Oven.  Service technician could arrive the following day and they would call me with the window
    Called at approximately 9:25AM with a window from 1 -4PM, this call was very curt and borderline rude
    Technician called when he was approximately 10 mins away and arrived at approximately 2 PM
    The technician, Randy was very thorough and identified the problem as the igniter, had one in the truck and replaced it.  Total charge was a little more than I would have expected but overall was happy with the job that was performed

    The fix worked and am keeping his number handy. I believe he could have come out to do the fix and charge me for a service call. I feel that that is a valuable assent in someone you want to trust for repairs. This was my first experience with Angie list and I will be back. This is a great search engine!

    I called John at South Jersey Appliance regarding the ice maker of my refrigerator. He immediately started walking me through a number of items to check. The first problem was so simple I am embarrassed to even put it here. The second problem was a long tube of ice formed in the feed line to the ice maker. I was able to defrost and poke it loose and am now waiting for the freezer to get back down to temp. I am confident it will work. John will be my appliance repair guy going forward. Highly recommended.

    Called for repair request at 11:00am. Was told that service could be performed that afternoon and I would receive a call from their repair tech (Randy) shortly before his arrival. Much to my surprise that call came within 45 minutes and he arrived about 15 minutes later. Randy arrived promptly and after his inspection he said he could have the oven working again shortly.After retreiving the part from his truck he had it installed quickly and working again. Very courteous and professional. Never received service for anything this quickly.

    They were quick, prompt, and very courteous when they came in. They made sure their shoes were clean and they didn���t bring in more tools than they needed. He knew exactly what to do right off the bat; we were back up and running in less than 15 minutes. The service charge was twice as much as the parts but it was still well below what we expected to pay.
