Steve and his contractors did an excellent job removing a deteriorating cement floor, putting in a French drain system and repointing and then parging brick walls. Several different types of subcontractors worked on the job, and each crew was efficient, polite, knowledgeable and skillful, cleaning up thoroughly after each job.

I had three different companies provide estimates/proposals. By far, Jim was the most thorough, knowledgable and helpful. He provided insights that the other contractors were not able to and you could tell that there was pride in ownership of this company. He spoke from experience and provided me with options and an explanation for each. Jim and his crew were extremely professional and performed the work in a timely and efficient manner.

We could not be more pleased--when Sandy hit unfortunately our neighbors received substantial water damage, we had no basement damage, and no water came up through the floors also; which can be a major problem for us. Ray, (the owner), has come back several times to check on us and I find that impressive.

They were excellent. We have recommended them to a number of people because they were so professional. There were many different kinds of craftsman in there doing cement work and other work. They were so civil when they talked to each other. They didn't swear and they were all dressed very nicely. I talked to the owner and he said that he buys all their shirts and shoes and talks to them about how they interact with the customers. He said if there was any deviation from that, then they are gone. It was very civilized. There were a couple of times that I was expecting a call and didn't get it so I just called him. He was really apologetic. He just has a lot of things going on so I would recommend overlooking that. If you call and he misses the call, then call him back. They are growing fast.

    BOBCATS FOR HIRE Llc.

Bobcats for Hire is owned and operated by Steve Therianos who is knowledgeable, conscientious and competent He welcomes questions and comments. He is on the jobsite 100% of the time that work is being done. He is very accessible. There is no doubt that he's an expert on exterior drainage systems, by virtue of his degree and experience and I'm sure that whatever services he shows on his website, www.bobcats4hire.com, he does competently. I'm completely confidence that the system he installed was installed properly and will do the job. Having seen the workmanship and attention to detail that Steve gave this project, I have no doubt that we have finally found the solution to a very difficult and challenging issue, caused by the soil conditions and natural movement of water around our home.

Be aware that this type of project is done using heavy equipment and if you're unfortunate enough to get a lot of rain during the process (we did) and soil conditions that won't let it drain quickly (ditto), this equipment might settle well into your lawn as it moves and it can be disconcerting when you don't anticipate the full extent of the soil disruption. A large amount of dirt is held temporarily near the excavation area, but the volume (again the soil conditions didn't help the situation) left not much of our front and side lawn unaffected. Accept that there's going to be significant landscaping and (if applicable) sprinkler system work after the project is finished. Steve makes clear that he's not responsible for the sprinkler system, just public utilities. Steve will relocate shrubs to a safe area before he starts, so you can return bring them back later and he'll do his best to avoid trees and shrubs that can't be moved and survive. His power rake does a nice finishing job, better if the soil is saturated by recent rain, and he does a good job allowing for the settling that will occur.

If you have utilities running across the work area, Steve will have them marked out and take all reasonable care to avoid a problem. If one occurs with a public utility, he's responsible and will make repair quickly and competently. Steve make it easy for us to get our permit and complete it. He will follow-up, be there when he says he will and organize all his needs so that the project runs smoothly and without major delay. He told us 2 to 3 weeks and it was complete in 2, despite a few unexpected delays, like waiting for the building inspector.

His workers seem competent and conscientious, but make no mistake Steve controls everything and that exactly what you want for a major project like this. I would highly recommend Bobcats for Hire for any drainage project.

If I was building a new home, I'd have Steve install one of these systems right after the foundation is complete.

I couldn't be more pleased with their work! Just waiting for a hefty rain event to prove to me that everything went well, but I'm fairly confident that we will not see anymore flooding in my father's basement. Even the white paint on the walls has brightened up what was once a nightmare of a leaky old basement. The sealant that was applied to the walls WAS NOT the same as the waterproof paint available at retail stores. It had absolutely no odor and was not offensive. The 2 men that did the physical work on the job were always prompt and extremely courteous. They also cleaned up after themselves on a continuous basis. I was always present during this job because my father has Alzheimer's Disease and he owns a large dog. Just wanted to be sure that everything went smoothly with that and it absolutely did. Ray's price for the entire job was extremely reasonable and came in lower than I had originally anticipated. Overall I'm a very happy camper!

Terrific. Wilver Cardoza and his team arrived at 9:00 am (  as promised ) , covered most items in our basement (including our heating
system). They worked until 3:00 pm and installed the french drains and dual sump pumps.
They said the job would  be completed in one day and it was (much to my surprise).
In addition they saved me mucho $.
I highly recommend Quality 1st Basement systems

.  It was a very smooth process.  We had 3 contractors give estimates and even though theirs was the highest, though not by much, we choose them.  The materials they used seemed so much sturdier then the others.   The men were there right on time and got right to work.  It was thought to be a 2 day job but that afternoon more workers showed up and the entire job was completed in one day.  We had heavy rains right after they finished but not a drop entered our basement.
