  • He's a one man operation, but he has his own shop that it's incorporated.  He has his own building.  He's really good.  Although he's timely. However, he does stay in touch with you. I will continue to use him as long as he's alive. His location is basically part of a redevelopment area and they may force him to move.  I don't think he can go into an overall "A" category because of his area, which he has no control over.

  • While on vacation in Spring Lake, I found out that one of my brake lights was not working when an off-duty police officer brought it to my attention (I appreciated the warning - I had no idea it was out). I called Matt's to see if I could bring in the car that day or the next. I was told to bring it in right away and I could wait for the repair. They changed to bulbs on the spot and I was on my way in 10 minutes. They took the car right away so I could "get back to the beach". Super nice people and a very reasonable price for the repair. I highly recommend them.

  • Fixed a blown spark plug. Its a big job, that and a few other things were done, and It was $750. I thought that was high however I do not mind paying a little higher price if the work was done with the overall quality and professionalism we were giving. I do plan on bringing my other cars here.

  • I called them on short notice for towing a car from one city to another local city. They got me connected to their towing company right away who was able to assist quicker than I thought. Friendly and curtious on the phone. The tow went flawless even with difficult access to the car and difficult final placement of the car. Very happy with their service.

  • When I picked up the car and drove it around, I noticed that the "metal shield" which was placed in between the muffler & underbody was rattling loudly.
I brought the car in for service because of additional noise, which I wanted to eliminate.
I brought the car back to the service station and explained that the additional rattling/noise was unacceptable.
They promptly removed the metal shield and made necessary repairs.
When I picked up the car and drove it around, the exhaust system was fixed, no more additional noise.
    There was no additional charge.
I have used Glendola Service Center for all repairs to my 2008 Nissa Versa.
(front & rear brakes, wheel bearing repair, oil changes)
They have always serviced the car correctly & at a fair price.
I will continue to take my car there for future service needs.

  • Good! I received a detailed estimate with all of the items that were inspected and the costs parts/labor. After referencing the internet, I found that his estimates were very reasonable and his recommendations were exactly on target.

  • Knight's has been in business for a number of years in our community and although I don't think their prices are very competitive, I believe they do quality work. However, when you are paying more and still sacrificing, that is unacceptable.

My daughter's car was brought into the local VW dealer for a brake problem, with the conclusion being that the car needed a new rear caliper, and possibly a rotor.  I wanted to go to Knight's because I believed it would be done promptly, correctly, and cost-effectively.  I got one out of three, which is not good.

My daughter dropped the car off at the repair facility on Wed. night. I got a call from Knight's late Thursday saying it needed the caliper, as discussed. I was told the part would be ordered and possibly be in that day or possible the next day (Friday). I asked why the uncertainty on the parts delivery. This is a VW Jetta, one of the most common cars on the road! No good answer was given.

Cost of the work? Approximately $415. A bit more than the $375 quoted by the VW dealer, who could have done the work the same day, with the parts redily available.  Oh well.

Late Friday afternoon, I received a call that the part was not there yet.  Where was it coming from? Who was it coming from?  After some lame excuses, I agreed to wait until Monday, since they don't have hours on Saturday. Like I had a choice at that point.

Late Monday afternoon, I received a call from Knight's that the car was ready and it would  cost $440 with tax included.  After delaying the completion of the work by 4 days, and charging more than the dealer, I don't think I received satisfactory service.  But he does good work. So that is the trade off....good work vs. high price and questionable parts availability.

BTW, my daughter brought her car to Knight's on a previous occasion and was charged about $100 for an oil change service. Knight's has a coupon on Angie's website for less than half the price. Very curious, since when she was charged $100, she was told the oil change cannot be done more cheaply.  What changed?  This only goes to my contention that their prices are not competitive.

  • I have a 1999 Jeep Cherokee Sport that has been having problems with unexpected stalling. Two other service stations looked at my truck and could not, with certainty, diagnose the problem. Both thought the problem was either the crankshaft position indicator or a faulty fuel pump. Neither wanted to fix the problem for the sake of adding parts. Wll, I travel over 140 miles a day in my Jeep so you can imagine how much I wanted this problem fixed. Another service station told me my best bet was to do a tune-up, which the truck definitely needed. Back on the road with confidence, the truck stalled out again on the parkway just before exit 100. I was able to get my truck started after several minutes of waiting, which it usually did and was able to get onto route 66 East. Stalled out again on route 66. Called a local towing company (which I will write about later) and the owner/operator introduced me to Ultimate Auto Care. Once dropped of at their shop, the guys there looked over my truck and finally determined that the problem was indeed the crankshaft position indicator switch. They fixed my truck in just over an hour of waiting at their shop. Excellent, friendly, super affordably-priced service that I am SO glad that I have found this shop for future service and repairs. I saved well over $100 from another shop's estimate for the same repair. My truck has well over 300,000 miles on it so you can be sure I have gone through my fair share of service centers. These guys are tops and I recommend them highly!
