AMagnolia Home Remodeling GroupWe had a three “room” project completed in November 2020: Framing - Removed back wall of house and part of the roof, rebuilt ceiling, installed beam, and rear wall Kitchen/Dining Room - Full gut job….new electrical, insulation, walls, floors, backsplash, appliances, paint, fixtures, etc. Deck - New from scratch. 17x17 with a pressure treated frame and timbertech composite decking, rails, balusters, steps, etc. ...since they were going to be replacing the roof where the new section was built, they also replaced our entire roof. The cost was reasonable relative to what it would’ve been to replace just the smaller portionn of the rebuilt roof. The subcontractors were all very professional and quality was high across the board. Here are the important points: -Communication - Stellar for the entire duration of the project (negotiating, permits, selections, day-to-day, inspections, etc.). Vic was our point person but had another person help when needed (permits, payments, etc.). When I needed something, it was Vic I worked with. We worked almost exclusively by text but got on phone calls when the situation called for it. -Schedule - Before we started the project, Magnolia claimed the project would take 4 months. I believe this would’ve been projected to be 3 months if we weren’t operating in a pandemic but the materials were a concern based on the initial plans the architect drew up. The entire project ended up taking 9 weeks from demo day 1 to the final inspection. Very impressive. -Pricing - Magnolia is not cheap but you’re paying for a contractor that’s experienced and proven in certain areas (e.g. kitchens, roofs, etc.) and has established relationships with the subcontractors they use. -Subcontractors and quality - Kitchen designer was flexible with what we were looking for but we had another kitchen that we used as a near mirror-image of what we wanted. The one thing that may be a concern here is that if you don’t know what you want, there might be a lot of back-and-forth to arrive at a final design. Roofers, tile/paint crew, etc. were all top notch. Overall a great experience. This was a high anxiety experience going in and Vic was professional and kept things moving very quickly and well ahead of schedule.- Anthony D.

BAmerican Home Remodeling IncI don't want this to seem like a negative review because their work and reviews speak for themselves. I am unable to provide an accurate review due to the limitations of the company's ability to do work within condo/apartment buildings. I can't blame them but their insurance company doesn't cover them. So, I guess this is more of a FYI. I am sure this is a great company to partner with for home projects. In our building next to Penn Station is a converted loft that used to be a button factory. Each unit has exposed brick, exposed beam, and exposed duct work which is rare for this area. These are deemed as New York-style lofts. There are 17 units in our building and all are individually owned. There are 14/17 units that are owner-occupied and everyone has their own contractors coming in pretty consistently to upgrade or make changes to their units. It's unfortunate and we looked forward to working with this company. I wish this company continued success and a great 2021. Sorry that your insurance providers wouldn't allow you to work with condo buildings.- Chadwick P.

BAmerican Home Remodeling IncThe end product is nice. My kitchen is very nice and functional and the basement is definitely better with the new door and bilco door. However the estimated timeframe of my project was supposed to be a month and a half however everything was completed within 3 months. There were times where they were not working on my house for weeks. Had to remind them numerous times on things that were not completed. I asked for the detailed listing of expenses that included material cost and labor compared to the budget and never received that.- Jessica S.

AMajor Homes CorpBudd and the teams he had working on our house project were very professional and genuinely nice people. Because of Budds project management skills, the house project was completed in 3 months when other contractors told us it would take 6- 8 months! Budd was very responsive and quickly addressed issues and any problems that arose. We spent a little more than we wanted as there were extras that ended up costing us more but we would hire this company back in a heart beat!- carmelina l.

He took the time to listen, we discussed different options, and within days we had a signed contract. Magnolia turned our vision into a reality. Taking a small kitchen, small dining room and an unused formal living room and turned it into our dream open concept kitchen/dining room. From the initial consultation until the final visit, and everything along the way, was truly a positive experience. They take pride in their workmanship and it shows in the end result. They clearly stand out from other contractors especially regarding their skills, talent, experience, craftsmanship and knowledge. Their pricing was excellent too. They are very honest and trustworthy and are consistently striving to meet all customers needs. They are very clean, punctual and efficient. I love the attention to details. They also only work on one job at a time and provide continuous status updates. It was a stress free completed project, which is a first for me. AI was long over due on doing a addition/ remodeling project on my house. I had Victor come out and I went over what my plans were and what I had envisioned. He was quick to offer solutions that met the cities guidelines, which meant part of my addition would be 2 stories, to allow room for my master suite. They prepared the plans worked out all the details with me. The scope of our project was; adding a master suite, enlarging the family room, kitchen remodel, powder room remodel, and some other misc. work. I was pleased with every aspect of there work, from customer service to the quality of the work preformed. One thing I was really impressed by is the attention to details. Victor would spend so much time talking to me about little design elements, how to position the lights, where to put switches, all things which I thought were pointless at the time. But now I realize all those little things really do add up to make a great finished product. All around it was a pleasure working with Build Now NYC

AThe job went very well. Richard explained everything in detail and answered all of my questions upfront. I needed assistance with the design aspects and he helped guide me through picking out fixtures, tile, etc. offering design tips. They took care of ordering all materials and getting permits, etc.. The project manager Henry was great too. He let me know in advance who was coming what day and time of arrival. Everything went relatively smooth and finished within a couple days of the scheduled end date. I was getting everything done (replace walls, floor, shower stall, vanity, etc.). The only painful part was the price. It was expensive, but once I got over the sticker shock, I was happy with the quality of work. The only thing is that I wish they did the painting too. They don't do painting.

AWe can not say enough wonderful things about Homeland Remodeling Group. To start, Dan answered our inquiry the day after we sent it and he showed up when promised. Many contractors would either not respond or promise an estimate and not show. Dan was on time and he provided us with the estimate before he left that same day. While waiting for the siding to arrive, Dan was very responsive, providing updates. Once the material arrived, the crew was very professional and worked efficiently. They would arrive at 8:00 am and leave at 5:00pm. The siding, fascia, soffit and gutters look perfect. Honestly, we could not have asked for anything more. Any request we had during the construction was addressed promptly. This company is very honest, reliable and attentive to detail. After the house was sided, the men cleaned up and our house looks better than we could have ever hoped for. We would definitely recommend this company and we will be using them again in the spring to work on an addition.

AThis was a our second time using Morgan Contractors. The first time we used them was to remodel our basement. They are one of the best contractors. Our primary contact was Antoine. Antoine is friendly, prompt, and on top of all of his jobs. While this was a minor job, we were given first class service. Antoine answered every question promptly; started and completed the job on time; and the price was reasonable. We will use Morgan Contractors again. We highly recommend them.
