Straight Edge Painting LLC-Top Quality Painters
From start to finish, Zachary Bristol and his team at Straight Edge Painting were complete professionals. I was impressed that Zachary presented a complete written proposal with all insurance coverage included. Both Zachary and the entire team reported to work on time, every day, for two weeks. I appreciated the fact that Zachary (owner) was on site every day with his crew.?I felt very comfortable allowing Straight Edge Painting to work on our home even though we hadn't moved to the property?when the work was scheduled to be completed. During the 2 weeks of this project, Zachary kept in complete contact by phone, text, and email to update us on the progress of the painting. The entire painting project turned out beautiful, and I would highly recommend Straight Edge Painting. I will definitely use Straight Edge Painting for any future painting work.

    Sure Thing Home Remodeling
We had been wanting to redo the bathroom in our 95 year-old house for the last decade.  Aside from coming up with ideas for the job we were very skeptical about hiring a contractor.  I personally remodeled the bathroom (75%) 35 years ago.  Being inexperienced and working full time it took me a couple of months to finish the job.  I did not want to go through that again.
Both of my nephews are in the business but time has always been an issue.  We didn't want to have a slam-bam job done and hesitated about hiring someone.  Also... didn't want a 'temp crew' coming in and slapping things together.  Found Robert through a deal on Angies List and he came over for a consultation.   After 15 minutes we knew this was the guy we wanted to do the job.  He was very experienced and knew what he was talking about.  No sub-contracting.  He was going to do all the work with family members.  We went over all the details and he had some wonderful suggestions.   Most people would have been out of there in a half hour.   He spent two hours going over the complicated project.
The job was supposed to take a week.  Did I mention the house was almost 100 years old?  OK.... some setbacks that were unexpected.  Quite a few surprises for Robert as work progressed. Job took closer to two weeks but it was done right.   Any issues that came up were explained to us and options/suggestions were given.   He pointed out issues with the old plumbing and took the time to fix it.  I wish I kept a diary of the details of his work.  When he gutted the bathroom I didn't think anyone could put it back together.  This man was a magician.  Was every facet of his work exceptional?  Not quite. But minor detail. The seat in the shower was too perfect. Would have been better at a slight angle so the water would run off easier.  I made the same mistake on my deck.  That  being said... I challenge you to find someone who does everything perfectly. (OK, maybe a spouse?)  Kept in mind... this was one man who does EVERYTHING.  Carpenter, plumber, tile, sheetrock/taping, planning, cleanup, carrying lumber and wallboard, demolition, etc...
OK, he did have a licensed family member helping once in a while.   If he did not like the way something turned out.... he re-did it .  He could have easily said nothing.   No, he pointed it out to me, explained the issue and said he was going to redo it.   THAT was perfection.
We had a very low ceiling in the bathroom and he raised it and still figured out a way to put in a fan/heater/light unit in the ceiling and make it look appealing.  Of course he had to do some extra sheetrock work but it looked beautiful.  Also added a window to the shower area which opened things up and helped ventilate the steam....
Do I have regrets?  Yes...... that he will probably not be wanting to do the remodel we have planned for 30 years down the road...Hey... we all have to retire at some point.
Overall this has been a very pleasant experience with a truly trustworthy man.   It's refreshing to find someone who takes pride in their work and interest in your satisfaction with it.   If we need anything done in the future... he's our go-to guy.
Bonus?   He's an interesting individual that you enjoy spending time with...

    Design for living contracting LLC
The contractor was on-site at least once every day to check on progress and quality of work. He was friendly, respectful, and eager to please, even going so far as to come into my house and cut a new color in at the ceiling above my staircase which I couldn't reach (at no additional charge). His workers worked cleanly with a clean site at the end of each work day. End result is perfect. I would recommend Ben and his gang.

    Big Dog Construction LLC
Telly was prompt and professional throughout the process from estimate to final discussion. He kept me informed of problems as they arose and how they were resolved. He also shared a great deal of information on the materials and processes being used. His crew was first rate as well. The tile work was impeccable in spite of a difficult space to work with (bowed walls and settling floor). The tile scheme was white tiles with gray grout so that any imperfection would have been magnified. The drywall finishing was particularly impressive with sharp corners and invisible seams. I wish I had found Big Dog earlier in my condo renovation and would definitely use them again

    House Doctors
Worked with House Doctors in the past.on other projects so when I had my list of things to do together gave them a call again.
Scheduled an appointment for an estimate and the repairman showed up right on time. We needed to negotiate what was going to be included in the final quote and that went very well and easy through the phone and e-mail. Scheduled an appointment for the work and again repairman arrived right on time. Work was performed quickly, I was surprised how fast some of the tasks were completed and everything done by the end of the day. Very happy with the results. Will definitely give them a call again for future projects.

    Jade Construction & Contracting Inc
We texted Jeff to inquire about repairs to our home and he responded to us the same day. We explained the list of things that needed repairing and set up a day and time for him to come out. When he arrived he was professional and personable. We showed him the rotting shower window frame/wall and the holes that had been cut in the drywall after a pipe burst. We talked to Jeff about what we wanted done and he gave recommendations (bringing the ventilation fan in the bathroom up to code, for example). He took measurements and pictures and emailed us a quote the same night.
Jeff followed up with us the following night and answered all of our questions about what needed to be done, what the repair process would be like, and how long it would take. Jeff is very easy to talk to and work with and put us at ease with his expertise. On the first day of work Jeff arrived with George and Wilson they laid down tarps to walk on and did everything as cleanly as possible. At the end of every day they also removed any debris and vacuumed.
They tore apart the shower wall and uncovered a substantial amount of disgusting mold. They removed all of the moldy wood and replaced it. They reframed the window and insulated with foam around it. They put insulation in the wall, removed the moldy ceiling over the shower, sealed the wood, and replaced the walls and ceiling with green board.
They retiled the shower wall and put accenting tile around the edges and where the ceiling was removed. They installed a new ventilation fan and put a new pipe to the outside. They painted the bathroom and caulked around the entire tub on the walls and floor. They also repaired the drywall holes in one of our bedrooms and our master bathroom and had a professional painter paint the bedroom.
We are extremely pleased with the work done by Jeff, George, and Wilson. They went above and beyond and exceeded our expectations.  The shower looks amazing thanks to the great tile work. It went from being rotted and barely inhabitable to waterproofed and beautiful.
The quality of their work every step of the way was exceptional. We are so thankful to have found Jade Construction. We will definitely recommend Jeff to friends and will be calling him again in the very near future for other major projects in our home.

    H E S Painting

I contacted H.E.S. through Angie's list to request an estimate. Harold responded promptly and scheduled to come out the next day. The estimate was in my inbox the same evening. I accepted the estimate and was told to expect approximately 4 weeks for the start of the job. Thanks to an opening in his schedule he was able to do the job in approximately 2 weeks. He and his helper arrived precisely on time. Their setup was meticulous. They moved all the furniture, masked the trim and covered every surface including the path to the entrance door. After patching all the cracks and nail pops they sanded all the surfaces to be painted (no dust thanks to the vacuum setup he used). They primed where necessary and gave two coats of finish paint in three different colors. The painting was first rate, complete coverage and edges cut in perfectly. When they were finished they vacuumed the area and moved all the furniture back. There wasn't a single drop of paint where it didn't belong.

As an aside, Harold noticed that I am a DIYer and generously shared some painting tips with me (including a complimentary roller cover).

I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I would recommend H.E.S. without reservation and will use them again when the need arises.

    Franks Painting
Frank was very responsive  and polite, and his crew was able to come out within a week of giving us an estimate. They accomodated our requests for additional work that same day, and at a very reasonable price. The job was done well and very efficiently. I would definitely use Frank's company again.

    Goias Home Improvement
This is the second time we have used GOIAS. We were glad to have Alton and Eddie back to do more work on our home. We needed sliding doors replaced to our patio. We purchased the doors and they came in and installed the new door. We also needed our entry door replaced. Again, we bought the door. They pulled out the old door, discovered a few surprises in the creative insulation and workmanship of the previous owner, discussed how to solve the problems, and finished the installation. They did some work in the hallway leading to the door as well. As usual, everything looks great. The job cost a little more than expected because of the problems found when the old door was removed, but what can you do? A door needs to go in once it's out and the price was fair.

    Goias Home Improvement
After Hurricaine Irene, we had water damage in part of our lower level. We immediately had mold, which was removed and remediated by a different company, but that company did not re-install the walls. We contacted GOIAS from Angie's List. They came out right away. The estimate was very acceptable and the time frame was great. The only issue I had was that we were told that they had samples of tile we could choose from, but that never happened. We went to Lowe's and bought our own tile and grout. It was fine. GOIAS replaced all of the missing drywall, replaced the frames in the area, replaced several interior doors, removed and replaced floor tiles and removed the carpeting, painted, and even removed extra drywall when more mold was found. The only other issue was that my parents live on the lower level, and we had wanted them to be able to stay when the floor tiling was being done. GOIAS said they could but it was really not an option so my parents went to a hotel. Part of the fault was ours, though, because I don't think we communicated exactly what they needed. That being said, the tile work was absolutely fantastic! And, because my parents left, their tile man was able to stay late and finish the layout in one night! Everything looks great. They were very clean, and were right on schedule and on budget. They didn't do carpeting, but that's OK, I guess you can't do everything!
