Working in the crawl space was very difficult and discharging the water down grade took some exterior excavation in an area with lots of shrubs and roots. My yard was left not even knowing they were there. The basement was completely covered in plastic and they were very clean.

Telly was prompt and professional throughout the process from estimate to final discussion. He kept me informed of problems as they arose and how they were resolved. He also shared a great deal of information on the materials and processes being used. His crew was first rate as well. The tile work was impeccable in spite of a difficult space to work with (bowed walls and settling floor). The tile scheme was white tiles with gray grout so that any imperfection would have been magnified. The drywall finishing was particularly impressive with sharp corners and invisible seams. I wish I had found Big Dog earlier in my condo renovation and would definitely use them again

    Effective Basement Solutions
The person who provided the service was very professional and arrived on time. He took his time and inspected my entire basement. After inspection, he designed a plan to mitigate the incoming water problem. A full plan was provided with an estimate total for the job. The estimate was very reasonable and better than the other companies provided. I recommend this company and their services.

We texted Jeff to inquire about repairs to our home and he responded to us the same day. We explained the list of things that needed repairing and set up a day and time for him to come out. When he arrived he was professional and personable. We showed him the rotting shower window frame/wall and the holes that had been cut in the drywall after a pipe burst. We talked to Jeff about what we wanted done and he gave recommendations (bringing the ventilation fan in the bathroom up to code, for example). He took measurements and pictures and emailed us a quote the same night.
Jeff followed up with us the following night and answered all of our questions about what needed to be done, what the repair process would be like, and how long it would take. Jeff is very easy to talk to and work with and put us at ease with his expertise. On the first day of work Jeff arrived with George and Wilson they laid down tarps to walk on and did everything as cleanly as possible. At the end of every day they also removed any debris and vacuumed.
They tore apart the shower wall and uncovered a substantial amount of disgusting mold. They removed all of the moldy wood and replaced it. They reframed the window and insulated with foam around it. They put insulation in the wall, removed the moldy ceiling over the shower, sealed the wood, and replaced the walls and ceiling with green board.
They retiled the shower wall and put accenting tile around the edges and where the ceiling was removed. They installed a new ventilation fan and put a new pipe to the outside. They painted the bathroom and caulked around the entire tub on the walls and floor. They also repaired the drywall holes in one of our bedrooms and our master bathroom and had a professional painter paint the bedroom.
We are extremely pleased with the work done by Jeff, George, and Wilson. They went above and beyond and exceeded our expectations.  The shower looks amazing thanks to the great tile work. It went from being rotted and barely inhabitable to waterproofed and beautiful.
The quality of their work every step of the way was exceptional. We are so thankful to have found Jade Construction. We will definitely recommend Jeff to friends and will be calling him again in the very near future for other major projects in our home.

    Mid-Atlantic Waterproofing of NJ
The first time I was scheduled for an estimate the window was 6 to 8pm. The estimator called at 7:30pm to say he was running behind at least 45 minutes - I chose to reschedule. The following day an estimator was prompt at 6pm - his chosen time (not mine). From the moment he arrived he was rushed, patronizing and antagonistic. He seemed more interested in leaving than providing me with information or trying to answer my questions. The more questions I asked, the more frustrated and terse he became. The bid was the highest I received and their product is comparable to the other 3 companies I received bids from. The worst part, however, was the fact that they had the gall to call me on Sunday morning at 10am - while Hurricane Irene was still in progress, and told me that they reviewed my bid and they would be willing to cut the price if I would speak to them right then and agree to the job. I had been evacuated from my home, had yet to see the damage there, and Mid-Atlantic is calling to drum up more business trying to take advantage of a very grim time for New Jersey residents. Needless to say, the conversation was short and I commented that I felt they were unethical and had poor business practices making such sales calls at such a stressful time. Don't waste your time with Mid-Atlantic.

The company was responsive and courteous over the phone when I made the appointment.  I met with Jeanne at my home who was wearing what I felt was a "costume" - a work shirt, jeans, work boots and tool belt.  I know that this woman is not an installer, I can only assume her appearance was a sales tactic to comfort potential clients - it was obvious and a negative factor for me.  An appointment that I expected to last no longer than perhaps 30-45 minutes (as other estimators did) went to 2 hours.  Other than an informative video program displayed on her laptop, I would say 60% of the appointment was Jeanne's negative commentary about other waterproofing companies, their products, and her warning "not to show our bids to other companies because they steal our format and will just add their banner to the top."  Just a tip Jeanne - if the quality of your product and services are as good as you say, you don't need to bash your competitors and waste homeowners' time!

She went off track multiple times - again extending her stay at my home.  She had difficulty answering  questions that veered from her prepared pitch.  She had difficulty responding to questions about how to get around obstructions in the basement.  When I inquired about mitgating the water problem from the exterior she seemed confused and uninformed and later gave me a bid (with very little detail) that was over 4 times the interior bid blaming the extra cost on OSHA regulations. The price quoted was far higher than other bids.
