Lahey Clinic Medical Center - Burlington
I went in by ambulance and they ushered me in right away to determine my problem. They did tests on me and kept me overnight then decided that I had a heart problem. They did a stent within a day to take care of the blocked artery. The doctors were pleasant, kept me informed, and had a good attitude.

They always have on staff a doctor from the children's hospital in Boston. They gave us great care and knew just what my daughter needed.

The doctors there are very good. They listen to me and communicate well. The staff is very responsive as well. The office environment is clean. They keep updating their facilities all the time. I once went there on an emergency basis and it was very late at night, and they took very good care of me.

    New England Baptist Hospital
I was impressed with the fact that the facility is down to a two percent infection. You have to go through a whole battery of tests before you can be admitted into the hospital. They are very thorough. I had to go through a two-hour question and answer seminar prior to everything.

They are all very nice and seem to know what they are doing. It is not an emergency room type of thing. You don’t have to call in advance and they are available until 4.30 everyday. The staff is knowledgeable. The telephone service is automated and that is the only complaint I have with them.

They are very good and very inexpensive.  They were forth right and got it done.  If you don’t have insurance then it’s a great place to go to.  I would absolutely use their services again in the future.

    Mount Auburn Hospital
I went in to Mount Auburn Walk-In Clinic after six weeks of debilitating stomach problems. I should say before I go any further, I have a huge phobia of doctors, needles, etc. Also, I just recently moved to the area and no one and have no regular doctor yet. Registration was very simple and the woman who helped me was very kind and efficient. I went in on a Tuesday afternoon around one pm and it was hardly busy. I met with Dr. T and she was so, so kind and thoughtful. She listened carefully and attentively and was very thorough in her examinations. Within five minutes following the completion of her preliminary exam a nurse was ready to take my blood for labs. I was incredibly nervous, I normally cry and get panicky in the presence of needles, but the nurse was so kind and gentle the whole process could not have gone any smoother! Dr. T followed up less than five hours later with the results of my bloodwork (same day- amazing!) and explained everything looked good- which is very nice as most places only follow up with negative results. The ONLY thing that prevented me from giving my experience five stars was that the woman who initially met with me and took my blood pressure and basic questions was very impatient and cold and seemed to doubt my answers to questions, which made me even more nervous than I already was. This was, however, quickly remedied by the attitudes of everyone else who helped me. While I'm sure my labs will incur a hefty price, I could not say anything more positive about the experience. I have been putting off a visit for a month and a half out of fear and I feel substantially better. I left with a list of primary care providers accepting patients and confidence that I will get better soon. I highly recommend this center for anyone who can't get into a primary doctor soon enough and doesn't want to make a trip to the ER.

First I was checked in, by a receptionist-type, who was very pleasant, even though having too many tasks. Then a nurse did a quick physical and asked questions e.g., my medications, any heart problems etc. She entered the information in a document that found its way to the nurse who eventually tended me. She also had a hand in triage--deciding what patients should be seen before others. Since urinary retention can cause kidney damage in few hours, I was tended to quickly, before some others. Installing a catheter was performed by a (male) nurse, who showed me how to manage it at home. He too was pleasant. There was a hierarchy of care givers: first the male nurse; then a physicians assistant, a resident, and finally a staff MD, all of whom had to look in on me before I could leave. It was waiting for all these people to drop by that took so much time. I left with a set if written instructions, based on what information I had supplied and the work performed. The record keeping was good. All in all, the care was thorough: I was interviewed at some length before being given treatment. My record was passed along (electronically) whatever staff member had use for it. The treatment provided by the nurse was (quickly) checked by three other people in the medical hierarchy. Everyone who saw me introduced themselves and otherwise gave the appearance of taking an interest in me.
