  • 1.It was promised the the work would take approximately 3 days and did not get the car for 10 days. Was quoted a fix amount for the job, after completion a news price was give incrementing the cost by approximately $500. After having the owner finally agree to charge the quoted price, the secretary?administrador tried to collect the incremental price. Very poor customer relations and not good business practice. Had received two other quotes from other sources and they were comparable to the original quote from Committed Collision.

  • It is hard to write this review. There are two distinct and polar opposite sides to this "dealership". I will list details of my ordeal with them below, but in summary: Pros: Good sales customer care. Cons: Total technical incompetence (ether deceiving you or just do not know) - so do not believe a word they are saying for the condition of the car! Rude owners Dealership got lucky to acquire a very sought after car and people all over US wanted to buy it. I was the first and gave them deposit. I am 1500 miles away and was planning to fly in and drive it back. Thus, I really needed to know truth about car condition and asked many questions about it. Salesperson - Jen could not be nicer. She patiently responded to my many questions. But unfortunately, none of the technical answers she got from the service department were true. I do not know whether they deliberately misled me or they are just totally incompetent technically (I am leaning towards former). Asked about clutch, was told that it is perfect. Clutch was all worn and pedal required huge effort to press. Asked about tires - was told almost new - were 4/32nds. Asked about other issues - was told car is in amazing condition with no issues - power steering pump was dying.... Dealership was very nice to offer to do timing belt, which was due. They also replaced the battery and did the breaks. Again - great service on the surface, great intentions. Unfortunately to me they do not have technical abilities to do even the simplest job - breaks, let alone timing belt! The fact that when I picked up the car it had no coolant and my brake fluid was low should have been a warning sigh to me. Issues caused by the incompetent timing belt job were the worst: 1. When putting back the cooling fans, they dropped one mounting bolt into the channel on the bottom of the radiator, thus did not properly secure fans to the radiator (they did not replace the dropped bolt, just left fans secured by why was left). instead of being supported by the bottom, fans were suspended by the top. As a result, on the way home radiator cracked under the weight of the fans causing total failure 400 miles from home! After towing the car back, I contacted the dealer and they were "nice enough" to reimburse me for part of the towing, car rental and new radiator. 2. When putting timing belt, they did not use any gap tools (included with the timing kit) and pressed the guide into the timing belt. As a result, timing belt was totally destroyed within 10K miles. We luckily discovered it by chance. At the best estimate, timing belt has 2K left. The car has interference engine and if belt failed, the car would have needed new engine! This time dealership totally, rudely, and flatly refused to reimburse me for the parts needed to do the job. I contacted BBB but they could not help either. I only requested reimbursement for parts, which I thought was very reasonable. 3. Breaks made it home! But dealership used the cheapest parts possible and did not adjust them at all, so they were rattling and scraping all the way and required service when car was running again. 4. Even oil filter was leaking!! Bottom line: If you have service need: Run away from them! If they did any repairs or service on the car you are buying - go somewhere else or plan to redo the job as soon as possible. Do not believe any information they give you, verify everything! If you are just buying the car - sales stuff is caring and nice (still check the car!). Overall the repairs caused by the dealership “service” (radiator, towing, rental, timing job) were around $2,000. On top of that new power steering pump and new clutch (both supposedly in excellent condition) required another $2,000. Tires were another $800. Dealer reimbursed me $700 for the radiator. So, the “excellent condition – drive ready” car cost me extra unexpected $4,000+.

  • It went great! My minivan was towed to Keegan's where they confirmed that the transmission was toast, and in their opinion not worth repairing. I purchased another minivan 2 years newer and asked whether the trailer hitch on my old minivan would fit my new one, and whether the condition of the hitch was good enough to do this, they said it would, and yes. I asked them to do the swap, and they did. Evaluation of my old vehicle, plus performing the trailer hitch swap, plus connecting up wiring (which I didn't even expect) cost me under $100 (as quoted), whereas I had been quoted over $200 just to install a trailer hitch elsewhere. Courteous, trustworthy, fast and reasonably priced!

Michelle, you grabbed me off the internet, wouldn't let go, gave me to Dan and off we went. Good job Michelle!!!! Unfortunately the car we test drove last week had a shake issue and before this was resolved, a man I believe named Rich or Rick called, was abusive, loud and did not have his facts correct. He was concerned about "getting this mess cleaned up before the end of the month", pretty much in the same manner as the person referenced in my 2007 letter. I simply advised him we were no longer interested in buying a car and requested he credit the $500.00 deposit we had given and was advised "you'll get your deposit returned if we sell the car and not before." We all spent a lot of time and energy on this sale/purchase and it is too bad that this man had to be so belligerent and turn me away. Cindy is now driving a nice new Prius purchased from another dealer. Sorry, David David Tufts 217 Atlantic Avenue North Hampton, NH 03862 603 234 6168 Fax 603 9641404 davidtufts@msn.com Mr. Sandy Pauletti August 13,2007 Toyota of Portsmouth 150 Greenleafe Avenue Portsmouth, NH 03801 Dear Mr. Pauletti, Recently, my wife, Cynthia purchased a car from your company and the experience was unbelievably uncomfortable. Blake did a very professional job in greeting us, determining what we were actually looking for, when it would be available and delivering it on time. However, our experience at your dealership was not pleasant. Your back room financial man was not good, making us feel as though we were in a pressure cooker while refusing to stop attempting to sell us services we did not want. He also was not well informed and treated us as though we just arrived on the planet. His fast talking while banging the key board, advising us of issues that were not true, addressing us as a third party, attempting to sell us services we did not want, with printers clacking, brought me to within seconds of advising him we were finished and did not wish to take delivery of the vehicle. On delivery day, while Blake was going through the manual with us, there were two or three salesmen talking quite loud in the corner near us using extremely poor language, including but not limited to the “F” word. This made Mrs. Tufts and me quite uncomfortable. Again I felt as though I simply wanted to leave the building but Mrs. Tufts wanted to buy this car so I attempted to be patient. Since we moved to the seacoast in 1990, we have purchased vehicles for ourselves and our family from: • Bournival • Hampton Ford • Portsmouth Ford • Dreher Holloway • Dover Auto World • Saturn of Portsmouth These new vehicles included the following : • Eagle Summit • 4 Door Saturn • 2 Door Saturn • F250HD Ford Pick Up • 2500HD Chevrolet Silverado • GMC Suburban • GMC Suburban (We purchased two during this period) • Ford Explorer • Ford Ranger • Mercedes 500 SL • Porsche 911 Carrera • Audi A6, 4.2 • Nissan truck-used None of these dealers represented themselves in the manner in which your employees did, they were all as professional as Blake. None of these dealers marched us to a back room for pressure sales and the dealership employees in all the showrooms presented themselves professionally. We have recently received a Toyota Purchase/Lease Survey. How do you suggest we process this survey? The reason I ask is Blake’s supervisor spent a great deal of time, both before and after I expressed my dissatisfaction to him as detailed above, explaining that our response to this Toyota Purchase/Lease Survey is totally a reflection of Blake’s expertise as a sales person, regardless of whether or not my experiences with other dealership employees were unpleasant and that I must select “excellent” in all categories or Blake will receive a “poor” report from Toyota. I find it difficult to believe this scenario but do not wish to put Blake in a poor position as he did a “super” job. I am anxiously awaiting your response. Sincerely, David B. Tufts NOTE- After sending this letter several times a response was not received.

  • Wanted to purchase the 2011 BMW S1000RR.  Visited a couple dealers locally who sell a number of different brands.  Max BMW seemed too far away but was attractive since they specialize in BMW and have the certified techs to work on them.  I called Frank (contact on website) and he informed me they had the bike I wanted in stock.  He offered free delivery and even took a few hundred off the sticker price which no one else was offering.  I agreed to the purchase over the phone, wired money to the dealership and the next day received an overnighted envelope with all the paperwork so that I could register the bike and be able to ride the day it was delivered.  The paperwork was well organized and easy to follow.  The bike was delivered on the date and time promised in brand new condition.  Overall great experience and no complaints.
