    Andrew's Accurate Appliance Repair
Andrew came and was able to diagnose the problem to the outlet not the equipment. This was great news as we were thinking we would need to replace the dryer. Honesty saves the day and us hundreds of dollars. thank you!

    CitySide Appliance
Cityside Appliance folks were terrific. I called them late in the evening because my refrigerator was failing. They showed up the next day as promised . They got right down to business and took care of the issue with ease. As an extra bonus I mentioned I was having a bit of an issue with my stove top and they looked at that too. I'm very happy with the service provided. The two gentlemen who came were efficient and knowledgeable as well as friendly. I will certainly recommend them to friends and family.

    Sheehan's Appliance Services
We had a Whirlpool Gold dishwasher that was about 6 years old that would only run for about 10 minutes and then stop. Called Brian and scheduled an appt. His truck had issues so he cancelled the first appointment but then showed up for the second. Brian diagnosed the issue as a bad computer board within minutes. So quick that I was doubtful. But we ordered a new computer board (~$150), he came back installed it and the dishwasher has worked perfectly every since. Brian was right after all. Would definitely hire him again

    Sears Appliance Repair
I CANCELLED MY SERVICE CONTRACT BECAUSE I DO NOT WANT TO INVEST IN HAVING REPAIRS DONE BY A COMPANY WHOSE TECHNICIANS COULD NOT TAKE THE TIME TO COMPLETELY CHECK OUT AN APPLIANCE BEFORE SAYING IT HAD BEEN REPAIRED. TO THE BEST OF MY OBSERVATION, HE DID NOTHING BUT CLEAN IT EVEN THO I TOLD HIM I THOUGHT IT WAS THE THERMOMETER OR HEATING ELEMENT. 2 MINUTES TO SEE IF IT WAS WORKING PROPERLY WAS, OBVIOUSLY, INADEQUATE. MY TIME IS VALUABLE & THE SECOND DAY WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN SACRAFICED IF THE JOB HAD BEEN DONE PROPERLY THE FIRST TIME.

The tech came over when scheduled, diagnosed the problem, manually defrosted the aplliance so it would start the cooling cycle again, and ordered the broken part. Then when the part arrived, he came back and replaced it.

    Heritage Plumbing, Heating, Cooling, Electric
We've long used Heritage for our HVAC services since we installed central air back in the late '80s.  We're on their pre-paid service plan.  At the appropriate time of year they check our furnace or A/C to make sure they're up to snuff.  We also used them for those emergencies like when it's 95 degrees and the A/C decides it wants to go south for a while.
Heritage called us and scheduled an appointment for yesterday.  Jamie C, the tech, called to give a time of arrival, came on time.  Their techs always put their little booties on over their shoes when they come in, even though it isn't always rainy or snowing out.  The techs are very neat and courteous, answer questions thoroughly.  The work is done in a timely fashion.  During yesterday's service visit, Jamie found the capacitor on the outside condenser unit to be out of specifications.  He told me what the specs were, explained why it was important.  Then he gave me the price to replace the part.
Don't get me wrong, I'm a cheap penny pincher by nature but paradoxically I also believe in getting what you pay for.  I didn't have the boss (she who must be appeased) pre-sign a check before leaving for the day, not expecting anything beyond the cleaning and checking the system.  I had to tell Jamie I couldn't pay for the repair at that time.  He said 'no problem', left a work order and told me to just call when we're ready and they'll honor the price.  Which by the way included a discount because we were a pre-paid customer.
Some people squawk about the high prices but it's not something I can say "Oh, never mind, I'll do it myself."  It will be done right, done timely and they'll warranty it for a year parts and labor.  Being comfortable in my own home is really important to me, I don't want to mess around with it and try to nickel and dime my way through it.  Life's too short.

    Hudson Heating And Cooling
He installed a natural gas furnace in the basement of my duplex on or near 1/21/15. The following day I got a call from the property manager stating she got a call from the secon floor tenant who said there was water pouring out of the radiator valves in her apartment. They tried shutting off the radiators to try and stop the leaks but it wasn't working. The property manager called gillis back. He said that the pipes needed to be bled. Apparently this was something he needed to do on completing the furnace install. He charged me for that. However the leaks caused considerable water damage to the apartment below and that cost me an additional $700.00 to fix. Assuming all was okay after that the tenants continued to use the furnace. After two weeks the valves started leaking again. This time the prop manager called in another plumber. He said the pipes were not bled properly, and the lines as well, pipes leading from basement to second floor. He fixed that problem. This October tenants tried using their heat and this time they couldn't get any heat. Dave Smith was called in to access the problem. Reported to the property manager that he would not touch it turned the furnace off said the thing was going to explode if used. Called the city of Nashua and fire inspector. The furnace was not installed properly, and apparently several codes were violated. Gillis was called back to reinstall furnace again. City inspector and fire inspector were present and spoke to him. He was not licensed as a HVAC. He had not pulled any permits for the work. Several violations were cited by both fire and city inspectors. After he got his permits and license together and finished the work both inspectors came back to re inspect the work. It passed finally.

Anthony came in and did the initial service. When the appliance made some unusual sounds later (after the initial fix worked) Anthony came back within a day and repaired the unit further. Everything is fine now. Anthony was prompt, professional, polite, punctual and effective.

    Skovron Mechanical Services LLC.
I moved into a new house in Amherst NH and immediately noted that the air conditioner would not turn on.  I saw the Skovron Mechanical sticker on the indoor air handler, and called to setup an appointment on August 3rd.  Keith Skovron recalled installing the original forced-air system about 8 years ago, so I had confidence that his company could handle the job.
That confidence was unfounded, as it took them 32 days to finally fix my air conditioner.  What transpired was a comedy of errors, amateurish business practices, finger-pointing, avoiding contact, and generally pathetic customer service.  To be fair, I don't believe that Skovron intentionally misled or defrauded me.  But every step of the work was completely screwed up; waiting days for parts to be delivered, ordering the wrong parts, installing the wrong parts, driving to Massachusetts to buy different parts.  SKovron seems to have no business relationships with its suppliers, they seemed to be driving around New England looking for compressors and capacitors, or ordering them via UPS.  Every shipment was a 5-day delay.  I could have ordered the same parts cheaper from Amazon and had them on my doorstep in 2 days.  When my new compressor was delivered 4 days after it was promised, I asked Keith to install it on a Saturday.  He made no concessions and invited me to pay his technicians time-and-a-half.  No thanks.
During this fiasco, I had to initiate every phone call for a status update.  Not once did SKovron call ME to let me know what was going on.  Promised installation dates would pass in silence; I got the impression they were avoiding me even though I maintained a calm demeanor throughout.
Every error was someone else's fault; the manufacturer didn't send the shipment, the supply house didn't tell Skovron the start kit didn't match the compressor (who's responsibility is that?!).In the end, they charged me a reasonably low labor charge, I suppose as a way of acknowledging my inconvenience.  But I could have learned how to fix it myself on YouTube, and saved myself two weeks and $1000.
I'm sure that other people have had positive experiences with Skovron Mechanical, but based on my experience, I recommend you find yourself another HVAC repairman.
